While the D played well they are also responsible for the loss. The Bills had a 10 point lead going into the 4th and the D allowed two TDs. Sure you can try and blame it on a fumble but the bottom line is they let them get into the endzone. Did KC's D let the Bills get into the endzone when they started a drive at the 25 late in the game? Top flight units come up big in big moments. The Bills D, no matter the talent level or sacks, seem to come up small all too often. This same stuff happened last year.

The issue is that the Bills seem to get called for every ticky-tack penalty in crunch time while their opponents do not. Sure you could call each of those a penalty because they technically were (if just barely), but they were all iffy at best and all of them occurred in big moments.

I kick the FG here. All 3 TOs left and D playing very well.

He always pulls up when he hits the mini wedge too. You rarely see him run full out on returns.

Bills are pushing the Chiefs around all over the field. The Chiefs have had a few big plays, that's being out coached? Guess out definitions are vastly different.

Of course it changes the game but what are they supposed to do, cry about it? Go back out there and get after it. Same thing goes after that Charles TD. Let's see what they're made of. People act like other teams aren't supposed to make plays against the Bills.

Team is up 10 headed into the 4th quarter. Normally I'd be worried here but for some reason I'm calm. I like what I saw out of the defense and offense after that Bryce fumble. Both did their jobs after a big negative play. Bills are going to win this game.

Unless it works then you love it. It's easy to B word after it doesn't work. Perhaps a run on 2nd down but are you really running the ball on 3rd there?

Hackett hasn't been great this year but today they O has been dynamic and unpredictable. Not sure how anybody can complain about what they've seen. Sure I'd like Td's too but the other team is also played to stop you. It'd be nice if WRs would hold onto the ball and Orton wouldn't overthrow guys in big spots. You can B word about anybody on O but Hackett today.

Yeah a single leg take down attempt should be a penalty.

I was just mentioning this to my wife. Same score as last year with the possibility of going up 14 and a huge mistake is made. At least they got no points this year. I like going back to Brown right away.

To me that D stop illustrates the differences in this team and team's past. Past teams would have crumbled after that mistake with the "here we go again" mentality. D played stout, I want to see the offense put up points this drive. Shake it off and continue moving the ball.

Turning point in this game unless the D comes up BIG here.

I'm happy with their play thus far and this from someone who's been pretty hard on them, even in wins. The D has played lights out and the O has been selectively aggressive. I see someone mentioned Orton throwing the ball in the ground "like EJ" in the 1st half thread but I loved those throws. He avoided big negative plays deep in the Bills end of the field. With this D that's what the QB needs to do. Those were smart, veteran, plays.

They likely would have had Charles not gashed them for 8 yards on 1st down. If they hold them to a negligible gain I'm sure they do just what you suggest.

I don't even mind the call there (or the audible.) Gotta block it up better than that though.

Yeah, I scratch my head at this move. Seems like this week you'd carry an extra WR especially with Goodwin coming back from injury as well. What happens if Sammy aggravates the groin and Goodwin does the same. Neither of these things would surprise me. We have a kick off specialist that ranks something like 11th in the league in touchback percentage. How much do we really need him active this week?

My main concern is making the groin worse and missing more time. I hope they know what they're doing this time as opposed to sending him out there with broken ribs to play in a pre-season game...

The only history that can effect these guys is recent history. The kind where guys can say to themselves, "oh no, here we go again." The failings of other teams with other players happened to somebody else, just because they wore the same laundry doesn't mean much to the players today.
