  1. If the officials can gather together after a flag has been thrown and decide to pick up the flag because "there was no infraction on the play" then they can certainly review it via video tape as well.
  2. The thing they need to do to get the running game going is throw the ball more on early downs. Running, consistently, on 1st and 2nd down is the death knell for a running game unless you have a stout OL. The Bills don't. They need to mix it up more and have the defense on it's heels. The Bills don't start throwing on 1st down unless they're down in the 2nd half. Before that it's incredibly predictable when they're going to run. Predictability is killing the Bills offense.
  3. Marrone seems to make fine choices for this DC, it's his allegiance to Hackett that seems to be the issue. My guess is Hackett is gotten rid of and a new OC is brought in. If the problems persist next year then Marrone is gone (this fact will likely limit who Marrone is able to hire as a new OC...)
  4. That was not Gilmore's fault. He had outside position and it was pretty obvious based on Graham's reaction that he was responsible for the inside, yet he let the WR blow by him. Gilmore was exactly where he was supposed to be and almost made up for Graham's mistake. It's amazing to me that anybody considers this to be on Gilmore. Just watch the play.
  5. I'm really beginning to question whether the NFL is legit. Every ticky-tack call goes the Patriots way. Every single one.
  6. If you're not going to try and score just take a knee. There are 14 seconds left, almost all of the things that can happen in that time aren't good when you're on your end of the field.
  7. He wasn't out of position. He had the outside, Graham was supposed to have the inside and he let the WR blow by him.
  8. My 10 year old said, "if they're not going to try and score then why don't they just take a knee?" Good question. And yeah, as I mentioned way upstream I can't wait until Spiller no longer plays for the Bills.
  9. I can't wait until Spiller is no longer a Bill. I don't care that he gets the occasional 40 yard run and if he rips one off this game I won't change my mind. He continuously puts this team in a hole on offense. His occasional flash doesn't make up for it.
  10. Two things jumped out at me. The author makes it sound like McKelvin is the best CB on the roster when he's anything but and the claim that Spiller has "vision and patience" when he has neither. Otherwise it's a pretty solid write up.
  11. I wonder if the question was changed to "who is the team's MVP" as opposed to "best" how the answers would change?
  12. If the judicial system in the U.S. worked the way Peterson's parental disciplinary system worked the state of Texas would take him to the town square and issue 50 lashes. Lucky for him it doesn't.
  13. Offensively it's FJ right now but I think by years end (or middle) it will be Sammy. The kid has is going to be a superstar. On D it's Kyle Williams though Dareus and Mario aren't far behind. Best overall, Kyle though again the gap isn't wide there are quite a few players right there with him.
  14. Why? If I lose focus will it cost the Bills the game this week?
  15. I sifted through a lot of this thread and read a lot of the same type of response in regards to why he could be the solution to the Bills' QB problems: He's "good enough" to win with the talent the Bills have. That right there is why he's not the long term solution. A long term solution isn't "good enough", that's a stop gap. A long term solution should be a strength of the team.
  16. Hey, the Bills just came off a win. Orton is the future at QB and this D can be one of the all time greats. There is no room for any questioning of the team right now, that only can come after a loss. And after a loss his post would be too rational, those posts require the poster to demand players to be cut and coaches to be fired. I do particularly love the posters who resort to calling the OP names because they don't like what he says. Classy.
  17. I'm fairly impressed that the Bills are sitting at 3-2 when 3 of their first 5 were on the road. The next 7 are lined up nicely both due to the teams and the venue. I don't think the Bills are good enough to sweep but 4-3 or perhaps even 5-2 are a definite possibility. It would be more than I had hoped if the Bills are sitting at 8-4 with 4 games left.
  18. It's because offense gets the press. If the Bills had one of the best offenses in the league they'd get respect but because it's the D then they're "lucky" to win.
  19. After Orton's first bad game people will be clamoring for him to be benched or cut and we will hear how he's not fit to be a starting QB in the NFL. If it happens this week vs. the Pats I can only imagine how much anger there will be for the guy...
  20. It's a post on a message board about football. It entertained me, therefore it was useful. If he was a scientist looking for the cure to cancer I'd agree with you.
  21. So because we hate Tate's hypocrisy it means he's not right? It was pretty pathetic that they put a coach on their shoulders just for beating the Lions a regular season game. It wasn't the Super Bowl. Act like you've been there before.
