  1. You might have to go watch some historical lowlights then.
  2. Not a chance. He's demographically ideal, especially as a counterpoint to Aaron Rodgers.
  3. So will this cause Mahomes to drop from 99 Overall in Madden??
  4. I wish some Bills fan was there to throw Brady's special toys on the field when TB wins.
  5. So at first I was complaining about the refs and the inconsistency favoring Brady. There is some of that, but there is more to it. I think Tampa Bay watched the Chiefs mug our receivers and coached their offense to overreact to every contact. The WR will flop when grabbed to draw attention, Brady will throw it in the area to draw a flag. As great as Josh is, of course Brady can still spot these things better and take advantage. And I really think the Tampa coaches could not have missed preparing for the "hold em every time" tactic. Of course, KC is doing much worse on offense, too.
  6. Breaking news: free agent player seeks contract. Up next: Scientists have determined that water is wet.
  7. They were really taking away our WRs and they got too much pressure. What were our best options? - Allen runs ... could have used even more - Jet sweep ... used a couple times - Short dump to TE ... under used - RB screen ... drop hurt us bad - Other runs ... we aren't good at this I'd have liked to see some playcalling adjustments because of the pressure, it might have backed them off a bit. If we held the ball a bit longer on offense and scored a bit more, maybe our D would have held up a little more? Or maybe we would still have lost, but looked better on O.
  8. The apology was well deserved. As far as our offensive struggles, I think it was substantially due to coaching problems. Execution always plays a part, of course, but I don't think we adjusted to KC's pressure appropriately.
  9. Are we going to make the score look respectable in garbage time?? Sad.
  10. How did they manage to blanket our receivers so tightly all game??
  11. This is a team loss, including Allen. They laid an egg in all phases.
  12. I do not understand the decision to take the FG there.
  13. Allen, find a solution to taking 15 yard sacks. Turtle up if you must.
  14. There could be some individuals dwelling near Rochester (Rochesterians, per Wikipedia) involved.
  15. If he DOES somehow play, and there was a concussion involved at all... he might be a few percent less effective. Hard to see how he can just pop back in and be 100% in any case.
  16. Some, but I think his tweets from when he was a teenager will still be a problem for (non-local) bigger endorsement deals. I don't think that's necessarily "fair", but I think it's a factor.
  17. His head snaps forward very quickly as of the initial hit. It does look like less when he hits the ground because he had his hands up, but it is hard to judge that part. Maybe he got concussed on the initial hit, rather than the impact with the ground.
  18. So, Deshaun Watson's contract is 4 yr/$156M with a guarantee of $73.7M that goes up to a guaranteed $110.7M after March 2022. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/houston-texans/deshaun-watson-21753/ Mahomes' contract is 10 yr/$450M with a guarantee of $63M that goes up to a guaranteed $141.5M over an extended period of time. A lot of the contract value is in 2027 or beyond. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/patrick-mahomes-21751/ Are we sure Mahomes' contract is that team-unfriendly? It has an insane eye-popping number but it doesn't grow that fast for a while. If the economics of the NFL don't expand to make the out years reasonable... they can theoretically be renegotiated downward if needed, because the guarantees grow over time. If on the other hand the salary cap escalates after the economy rebounds, the team can afford what are currently outlandish salaries.
  19. It's also not clear we'll ever know the answer. The negotiation isn't going to be a situation where the Bills offer Josh Allen a contract and he says no, pay me less. It is absolutely conceivable that he will accept an offer made at a reasonably competitive figure rather than ask to maximize every dollar possible. So it's "less" than he might theoretically be able to scrape out if the agent plays super-hardball. In my view, that is realistic. I do not think it is realistic to have him come out of this where he's playing like a top 5 QB but getting paid like the 10th or 15th-highest paid QB.
  20. If it's a "pinched nerve" he is likely to pass all protocol-related tests pretty quickly. I've never heard of a pinched nerve that makes you unable to answer cognitive questions or track visual stimuli or whatever.
