I've seen most of his games in person and one thing that is mentioned in this video that I totally agree with, he is very good in tight spaces. He will pick apart a zone and give his QB a window.
Maybe I was just completely over Rex's antics, but put me in the camp that is really happy with McD so far.
I'm normally pretty skeptical. I think this guy is going to make us all believers soon.
There is a lot to process here, but at the end of the day I'm really just worried about one thing. Did Leroi get fired? Did we lose our source?
The rest of this...meh. McD is the sheriff for better or worse.
Is it possible Whaley stays in any capacity just for pro personnel e v a l? Someone in the building has done a pretty good job on that side.
Maybe McD's boy from Carolina takes over the college scouting/draft side and Whaley takes a "restructuring" of his duties to focus on the pro side?
I don't know which comparison is worse, this or the TJ Graham one up thread.
I'm am not sure Zay is going to be a great pro and I've seen every game he's ever played in. He is most certainly though nothing like James Hardy.
The most interesting thing about this pick to me is that McD apparently thinks more of our LBs than we all do.
Honestly Mills was probably our worst starter last year. An upgrade was needed.
