I wonder if they did and just didn’t want to raise any alarm bells. It shouldn’t be hard to tack on a week or two, right? I was hoping for a similar open week mid-season (or around week 11 or 12) for makeup games. You’re right though. So long as the games roll on, I’m more or less fine with whatever.

Why not just add two empty weeks on the end of the season for makeup games? That should more or less account for most outbreaks of this sort, right? I’m surprised they didn’t stick a makeup “bye” week in the middle of the season to account for this sort of thing...

I'm kind of surprised by this take with two promising rookies and Kroft set for a potential bounceback year. I really don't have anything else to add here. It's just interesting to see such a different perspective.

Same rules as usual--though my league already has two extra bench spots by default. We did agree that if the season ends early, our 1-4 money spots will be determined by overall points. This is a low-stakes friendly league though, so it wasn't too difficult to come up with a plan.

I like the Jets side of this deal regardless, but a lot of this boils down to how good the Seahawks are. If they do as well as they seem to anticipate, those are 25+ picks.

To save yourself trouble, time, and distraction, you can look up the ESPN radio stations on your route and plug them into your radio presets. Then you just push the next button when one fades out.

Not sure what Miami’s GM was doing signing Fitzpatrick when they wanted to bottom out, but he’s done exactly what you’d expect: keep them in games and pull a few out. It’s been a lucky break for us regardless, no top pick for them this year. And I’m enjoying rooting for him. Win/win.

Going to be honest, I really like watching games with Winston at QB. It’s not sound football, but man, is it ever entertaining—not that I’d want him QBing my team though.

True, it’s unlikely, but if Houston wins this week, then we have a chance at this scenario. It’s much more unlikely that we beat the ravens than the Chiefs beat the Pats. If Houston can put things together tonight, things get interesting. Heck! This isn’t the same NE team from the past, they have had all of the breaks go their way and squeaked our a few close ones of late. Cincy or Miami could even shock them. Never know.

From the perspective of an outsider (don’t see a ton of their games), it just seems like MO under their coach is to be inconsistent from week to week..
