  1. The 'hole' with the LB or DB waiting to tackle? The only holes on the field for the Bills were the ones in Mularkey's head.
  2. Tom, as in the kind Nuebauer likes to freshen up with.
  3. Gee, do you think the Bills just might be planning to fill the sky with footballs this coming training camp? And season? We almost have a QB for every WR.
  4. Sorry, Mr. Dibs, but the 'could care less' crowd must be given the leeway that the expression is ironic; the intented meaning of the speaker/writer is of course opposite. I don't see this choice appearing in the English grammer books or at least considered by critics such as yourself. I always consider the ironic mode when I hear the expression.
  5. Another thing to consider...the concussion Ben received in this accident could equal 10 'normal' concussions. Recovery could be difficult.
  6. Quickest way to end a football career or any other kind of career for that matter. People making left turns do not see motorcycles like they do cars. I wonder whether BR was speeding, also?
  7. Moulds will be great with the Texans if he can get the dbs to slip on banana peels.
  8. Why carry on a conversion with an individual exhibiting boarderline psychosis? For him to make this the big issue he has out of nothing is proof enough of his mental instability Or else he's possesses the mind of a know-it-all 16 year old; pretty much an equality.
  9. Interesting seeing amount of esteem for TD that existed 15 months ago. All the talk about adding Shelton like he would be a worthy addition to the Bills. Gaining him probably would have ensured the Bills OL of being all-time worst. In retrospect, the Anderson acquisition foreshadowed the end of the 'genius Tom' era.
  10. So why does he get cut on June 9th? Were they trying to trade the freakin' bum? One of TD's bestboys, eh?
  11. There IS no spoon.
  12. Eddie vs. Chad....most embarrassing play in recent Bills' history? Maybe #2; hard to beat throwback for sheer incompetence.
  13. There's the indicator of where the smart money is. If the Bills bashers were setting the odds a grand would buy you 10gs. Basically the bashers have an axe to grind or, more likely, suffer from the group pile-on mentality.
  14. Cowher couldn't stop Mularkey from making many dumb mistakes. Cowher was set to get rid of him when TD bailed him out. Mularkey is so dumb that I place him on the top of the list of OCs to be fired before completing the '06 season.
  15. The only times he didn't fall down after a catch was when he successfully pushed off or the opposition blew coverage. The Bills likely possess 3 receivers who can equal Mould's '05 output. He could have stayed a Bill with a reduced role and smaller salary, but no, EM's going to find out the hard way about father time.
  16. I agree. This season he has a real chance of embarressing himself. A pulled hammy or ribcage injury would not surprise me, either.
  17. Don't know, but I figure 51 days 'til training camp opens (Friday, July 28 for the rooks and the 29th for the vets). Start of training camp is the red letter day on my football calender!
  18. This I view as 98% the case of the current round of Bills bashing, outside of our resident permanent negaholics. Our ESPN friends started on draft day and it hasn't relented. The 'experts' are setting themselves up for crow dinners.
  19. BTW, the get-clobbered-in-training-camp option triggered a thought. To me, it was the first indication that Mularkey didn't have an effing idea of the responsibilities attached to the HC position. How many quarterbacks in the league have ever been incapacitated by a like incident in training camp? MM did not have enough sense to impress upon his qb to not take foolless chances in camp or any other time, and worse, did not have his defense forewarned concerning QB contact and penalties resulting from such proscribed contact. Secondarily to this incident was MM's throwing his supposed prize pupil to the NE wolves in JP's rookie season. To make a point, he exposes his once seriously injured qb to the opportunity for more injury. Meathead, indeed.
  20. D B Cooper's nephew?
  21. If there's a bet in Vegas giving odds on the Bills making the the playoffs, I'd put a hundred down on the Bills. Should be a $20,000 payoff if you listen to the prognosticators. Bills won't be that cheap to the smart money, but that's another bet. Seriously, if JP wakes up and gets it and the OL improves 30% ( a low hurdle considering last season) this team will surprise. Enough to make the playoffs?...no, but I'd really like to bet the Bills will be .500.
  22. What if JP hit 85.9? Wouldn't that alone negate all the current dire predictions? Why is it portrayed as leap into fantasyland to think of the possiblity that the main cog finally gets it? With help from the OL at least being average. This requires a major leap of faith? I don't think so.
  23. The way I see it is that our putrid coaching staff..OC, DC, and HC combined for a -3 games affect on last season's record. Give the new guys a neutral rating. And were going to be worse? That will be a neat trick in itself.
  24. Man, I've got to place some bets in Vegas before the pre-season games. Just like the market, when everyone hates you, it's time to buy.
