Moulds has been replaced by not Price but Evans. Let's say Evans is 85% of Moulds (I actually think he's 120% of the 2006 edition of Moulds). Moulds has degenerated into a 100% bad attitude. The attitude negates most of what talent he has left so no contest that the Bills receiving corps OUGHT to be better in '06.
I can't pick between options 1, 2, 4, 5, and 7. They are all equally bad in my book.
I would have voted for an unstated option: picking back to back incompetent HCs but that's a compound error not a singleton.
I know this is in the hope-for-a-miracle category, but an opening win by the Bills this season would be priceless beyond compare. Listening to the 'expert' commentary after such a result would be unimaginable ecstasy.
Bad mouth the Bills at least once a week, emphasizing how bad the draft was or you don't get a paycheck....must be an edict from ESPN management(oxymoron).
Like to see one of those mindless wonders do an analysis of what got the Bills in their 'horrible situation' in the first place.
BTW, I'm 'pork chopping' my claim.
The guy is an all-timer. Show me one case where he offered criticism of Grey's defense once in '05, never mind his idiot-level grasp of what an NFL offense should be. Which is one reason why JP will be automatically better this season, his fool of a head coach is gone.
I read somewhere recently (might have been in Bills Digest) that Nall was none too accurate downfield in mini-camp. If he has no long ball accuracy, his winning the starter position is a longshot.
How do you know this? Marv said after the draft that they could not make a value trade in the time alloted. Marv does not lie, therefore the rest of your argument is fallacious, which by the way, coincides completely with the media position.
There's a difference in being neutral (Kiper) and getting cheap shots in at every available opportunity (Mortensen). Hate directed towards Mort is entirely justified until Mort gets over his snit.
I swear Mularkey found a stash of stupid pills last season and passed them out to the team while making certain the coaching staff had more than a fair share.
Give JP time to learn the job. Giving him a game plan which makes sense will help. Passing to WRs who care more about the team than their personal stats might help. Having a #1 receiver who can actually get open might help. Helping most would be learning to read and react inside of 3 seconds. Even better would be having 4 seconds to do the same.
The thing that gripes me is because the 'mainstream' heard Kiper's and Mort's OPINIONS on the Buffalo first two moves, the draft is no good. No other reason than these flakes said so. Never bother to look at the draft to see how needs might have been filled. Because the Bills went against the Conventional Wisdom, they're labelled idiots. More telling on the personal depth and understanding of the analysts at large rather than Bills making any fatal errors. So I say to them, three years from now backup your criticisms if you can with facts.
