Convince me I should waste my time trying.

I will say this...I think the Bills pretty much

7 - 9 or better. Since the yuk-it-uppers on ESPN have been having such a great time predicting last place or worse for the Bills, this record just might get their dimly aware attention. -
He's retained Willie Gingrich as his lawyer? (see---the '66 movie, The Fortune Cookie).

Because the coaches haven't taken my advice. Gonna try Marv, again!

I find the defensive drills boring as evidenced by most of the attendees and myself concentrating on the offense. When it's defensive guys just going through the motions there's not much to get excited about. I like to get an early look at the rooks and FAs on both sides of the ball. The offense is generally a lot more interesting to me. I like to see who's hitting the WRs accurately with the long passes. I'll be watching the running backs closely, especially Willis checking out the horseflesh. The part of camp I really like is the 7 on 7 and 11 on 11 drills where the 'O' and 'D' go against each other in simulated game conditions. It's hard to get a gage on anything related to performance except for how the QB's are running the show. I will be most interested in watching the QB competition. The other part that is fun is comparing notes with fellow fans. As far as I can tell almost all the attendees are optimists. I may change my tune later in the season but I always start camp as an out and out optimist. Attending Bills camp is my adult version of Christmas morning each and every day I'm at camp.

Just curious. I go back to Marv's last in Fredonia.

Retire the Douchebag of the Year Award. Steven A. wins it as long as he has a show. ESPN wins Douchebag Network of the Year as long as they have SAS working for them.

The thing that I initially found most distressing immediately after the Levy hire was why Ralph and Marv were intend of working with MM. Ralph, I could see him wanting to save a few bucks but what was Marv's excuse? I don't think he had studied the tapes, or he didn't want to offend Ralph, or he may have thought he could coach by proxy in that he could order Mularkey to carry out his orders. I don't know. It's one of the things I'm most perplexed about concerning Marv's takeover.

The guy should be a spokesman for Viagra. Things start to go south and he's standing on the sideline acting like he's making a commercial for impotence (the before part). The guy had no control over anything and he exuded meatheaded-ness like he was trying to sell that also.

Chat with "The Football Scientist"

Is key. Losman had enough troubles without Moulds being the millstone around his neck. Somewhere early in the season EM decided he was going to be no help to JP. Mulurkey didn't have the stones to control Moulds or any other veteran for that matter. -
"Saban hits Mularkey with Steel Chair..Unfortunately for Chair, Saban Hit Him in the Head." The story behind the headline.

This play is the prime example of our season.

Except for the ending, that play should have ensured a pro-bowl spot for Magee. I still think it qualifies as Bills' best-ever return. -
Another sign of ESPN's Lack of Respect

Looks like the Chiefs are getting the same treatment (covering on a pre-season road game). This is probably more coverage than ESPN has allocated for the regular season Bills. It is the mindset at the outset...the Bills could not possibly be any good. -
Take the 2005 Bills, and add the following

How did Mularkey have any measure of success in '04???? Inherited the offense of the fired guy? He was incredible in his mismagement mis-ability. The root of all evil of course was the complete fool who gave him the job in the first place. TD either has lost it all or never had it in the first place and took credit for underlings' achievements in Pitt. I favor the latter theory. -
Greggo was not dumb enough to have players add weight in an experiment to play differently; that is the Bills all-time stupid season spanning decision by a HC, for my money. Puts Mularkey in another category of stupid.

If the line can hold their blocks for 2.5 seconds we'll be in great shape. We had a couple of starters last year who couldn't sustain .5 seconds. I'm optimistic because those failures are gone. -
If the Bills win game #1 it will prove 98% of the national experts wrong and set up a successful season no matter the final record. It would easily be the best win in a decade, maybe more.

Speaking of which, what about the welcome the Bills back to Pittsford meeting at the conclusion? If TD had been scheduled to give his little talk of unadulterated bs like last year's, I was wondering if the Pittsford police would have had to drag me off for heckling that poseur. Glad that I don't have to find the answer now.

Tom Clements: took me three training camp sessions to identify him. Less animation than a bump on a log. Apparently less offensive IQ than said log, also.

The naysayers keep repeating the fact that new coaches and new systems installed is a negative. Like they were good last season????? They are completely missing the point that the last regime was a ship of fools. And we have key?? losses? '05 to '06 we have NO key losses, only key additions which have gone under the radar. -
How can there be no bids on this unique piece

Should be worth a lot. Think he wore on his left foot in games. -
Drew has that same blank look when he's riding high. Should have been a poker player.

Another example of the short sightedness of the Shuttle design. Someone should have thought about it once in the last 10 years---the need for a transfer stage to be able to shift orbital angle between HST orbit and ISS. Bet it could have been done if it had been planned for. Too late now.

We won't contend for the playoffs in '06, but you don't have to wear the rose-colored glasses to think they can get to .500. Vegas had them 50 - 50 to get 6.5 wins (whatever that translates to) weeks ago. And that was assuming a disaster at the QB position. A slight improvement at QB and slight improvement on the OL plus a major improvement on the 'D' could, could not will, get us the extra 3 games. Some of you should try taking off the black shades for a few minutes this pre-season.
