The fan thing is an excuse not a reason. Perform badly in any NFL city and a fan segment will make a coach's life hellish. Buffalo's no different any other NFL in that regard except for apathetic Carolina and Jacksonville.
For my money, the GM,HC, OC, and DC all earned a ticket to the unemployment line. I don't think Gray survives, if only because the new HC won't want him.
The only thing I don't like about this is Marv and Ralph seemed to be the only two who thought keeping Mukarkey around was a good idea. What does that say about Marv's judgement?
That being said I like to see a strong-willed coach take the job. I don't know if Hass is the guy or not.
Nightmare my a$$. The nightmare part of this is why Ralph and Marv thought Mularkey should stick around in the first place. Donahoe poisoned the well and MM was part of the poison.
If you do a sweep, make it a clean one.
If it happens, I'm happy. I don't need two years to size up anyone's performance. How he handled adversity suggests he does not have a strong enough personality to handle the job. I could say this another way, referencing body parts.
You just knew the Bills would make this list:
Actually, I missed several characters. Try again.Another unwanted distinction;least we're not #1
I'll get on my own ineptitude list.
ok, finally works. typing not cut and pasting/very difficult.
Given JJ's track record, if there's any financial way the 49ers can swing it, Ferguson is theirs. Only way he drops is if JJ's contract cannot be managed capwise.
If Gray's performance in 2005 is not enough to warrant firing, I don't know what more he would have do in the F-up department. I'd say JG has less than a 2% chance of finding an equal or better job. Marv(Ralph?, MM?) is going to have to fire him, I'm afraid.
