  1. I'm sure Brady is a very good QB but having a great team around you makes a difference ask Archie Manning who might have been just as good or better than his sons but played for the terrible awful Saints and was beat to hell after a couple seasons.
  2. also go to Aaron Schobel's profile at nfl.com and check out "soundtracks-Arron Schobel" and you can find out what Aaron Schobel thinks about Aaron Schobel
  3. I been unimpressed by Schobel's return, Kelsay is a backup talent level getting starters money, Denny is a backup level talent getting backup money of the three I'm keeping him- people seem to be waiting for Schobel to return to pre-foot level of play they seem to forget that level was sucks.
  4. wouldn't mind this at all but you'd have to give more than Maybin - add Schouman hahaha
  5. This is one time I don't blame the Bills front office- Maybin you were picked 11th you get 11th money wtf is so hard about that, fire you agent and get in camp- leave it to Oakland to throw a wrench into things by taking a WR 7th overall who was rated a 2nd round pick- well played sir well played.
  6. That OT you are talking about is William Beatty who was considered to have as much or more talent than the OTs who went in the first round- only reason he dropped was concerns over the level of competition he faced.
  7. Down- Schobel, Kelsay, Denny, they look average to below average up- Ellis, Copeland, Mace it's not that they are better but if you are going to have blah why pay premium coin for it. Down - Hardy - Nelson looks like he can do everything we wanted Hardy to do- Parrish has return ability- Hardy needs to come back soon and have a great game.
  8. I'm not a big fan of the Butler move to RT but he seemed to do a good job on the plays when I was watching him- Walker had more trouble this week than last week- can he handle running up the field at a no huddle pace?
  9. somewhere in this world dog fighting, rooster fighting, Bull fighting, hunting wolves from helicopters, using blow touches on pigs for medical experiments, indiscriminate killing of civilians in occupied countries , torture, slavery, forced labor, sex slavery, testing chemical and biological agents on your own citizens, war crimes of every kind, violations of every human right, genocide and Jerry Springer have been or are being committed, much of it right in or by this country- if Vick has truly repented he's ahead of a lot of people.
  10. From what I read about Ugoh he has similar strengths and weaknesses that Bell has - very athletic but not as strong and explosive as you'd like- he does have more game experience- one question, is Charlie Johnson really really good or are they just disappointed in Ugoh.
  11. Chris Brown is a shill, a stooge, a mouth piece for the Bills front office- that being said I'm not going to rag on Andy, getting pushed back is less a strength issue than a leverage/ momentum issue - he who gets moving first has all the advantages- I expect Andy to get a lot better when he can stop thinking so much and just react. As for believing coaches over your own eyes forget that sh-- football coaches, GMs and owners have their agendas and are pathological liars.
  12. My observations. 1. DE- the worst, when Corey Mace yes Corey freaken Mace is your best DE you are in trouble- we better pray that Schobel was rusty or still injured or unmotivated because if that was his A game he should retire now and save everybody the agony and humiliation- Kelsay and Denney would both would fine as backups too bad Kelsay is getting starters money- Ellis looks more the part of a DE except for his actual game, at least people don't laugh at him anymore when he tells them he's a DE- dude please a little fire in the belly. 2. DT -not great but rays of hope - Stroud, Williams, McCargo, Johnson, and Derrick Jones all had their moments. right now I rather have an all DT line - Jones, Stroud, Williams, McCargo than any of the DEs. 3. Marshawn lose 10 of that 15 you gained- bigger is not always better 4. OL- pass blocking fair, run blocking poor- really with as many young players they have and Walker playing LT I thought they did a pretty good job. 5. Poz looked good -this might be the year I stop thinking London Fletcher is better. 6. Nick Harris must have been a huge safety because he looks like our biggest LB- Just a matter of time before he's starting.
  13. I'd rather have Peters, Wood, and Levitre and forget about Maybin and Bryd but that's just me.
  14. looked around the web for some information and found this. Grand Valley State (March 12) Senior defensive end Derrick Jones ran between 4.72 and 4.75 in the 40-yard dash ... 24 bench reps... measured at 6-3 7/8, 284 pounds ... flashes pass-rush ability ... very flexible and athletic for his size ... needs to play with better technique and with more of a nasty streak ... could find his way into the late rounds thanks to his size/speed combination
  15. a old vet like Stroud is showing about 75% of what he has in training camp, saving that other 25% for real games- Wood on the other hand as a rookie is giving it all he has- Don't worry about Stroud, if healthy he has a lot left and don't worry about Wood he's going to be the best guard we've had since Brown- if you want to worry think about the OTs, it can curl your hair.
  16. The reason Peters was undrafted was that he was considered to be too big to be a TE his college position and had never played OT - this combined with his low test scores on the wonderlic made teams leery. As for Peters personality- you might find this interesting- Peters ended college around 317lbs- now he had the option of dropping weight to make himself more attractive as a TE or gaining weight to better fit as a OT- In an interview he basically said he looked at what TEs make and what OTs make and it was a simple descision. As for talent I wouldn't say Peters is the best but I'd put him in the top 5 and I think anyone who would say he's not in the top ten just has an axe to grind- the biggest concern for Peters is injuries he's playing at 350+ by the way he is not overly fat- still there comes a point when even adding muscle starts to increase the risk of injury- if I were the Bills this would have been a bigger concern than the size of the contract or personality issues- large explosive men with lower body injuries issues is a bad combination.
  17. I'm no fan of Kelsay but I think it bears mentioning is that part of the problem is that injuries diminished the Bills ability to rotate defensive linemen- one of the tenants of our defense is to keep our undersized players fresh so the can go all out and not worry about becoming exhausted- I think with a better rotation Kelsay can get back up to the 4-6 sack range.
  18. I think for a limited amount of carries Fred Jackson could do as well or even a little better than Lynch but could he sustain? that's the question, there are a lot of backs who can look like world beaters for a couple games then as they take a pounding their performance deteriorates, - I'm really glad we have Jackson and Rhodes too but I don't know if either of them could handle the workload that Lynch can.
  19. My problem with moving Walker to LT has at least as much if not more to do with my lack of faith in Butler being even an adequate RT. I'd much rather the Bills keep Walker at RT and have Chambers and Bell compete for LT. If I had a strong belief that Bell was the future I'd use the preseason to get him as much playing time as possible and be content with giving a lot to help to left side. To me that makes a lot more sense than using Walker as a stop gap measure at LT and praying that Brad Butler beats the odds at RT.
  20. This is my biggest hope for the Bills- If Bell could be adequate at LT and Walker move back to RT where we know he can play. Is this moving Brad Butler to starting RT just a courtesy to a hard working vet I hope so because from what I heard Kelsay is killing him and that doesn't bode well.
  21. Ellison has his good qualities but was either undersized for a man of his speed or underspeeded for a man of his size- if he has gotten a little bigger and stronger and can turn some of those drag down tackles into stops at the point of contact I'm going to be pretty happy with the Bills LBs
  22. Huge amount of D. Bell glossing came from one Bills drive before the Peters trade- after the Peters Trade nada - at this point I think it was blowing smoke, a time honored negotiating tactic but earlier I was imagining Bell as the guy who is going to make us all forget about Peters.
