  1. You can build an offense around a QB and his pass receivers
  2. Right and Triplett and Williams are example of small not so quick guys.
  3. I agree with this- I like a two TE set, dump the fullback- 1st pick Marshawn Lynch RB 2nd round Robert Meachem WR 3rd Arron Sears OT/OG 4th Manuel Ramirez OG Free agents Clements, Gandy, Terdell Sands DT, Adalius Thomas LB, Daniel Graham, Cory Redding dt/de
  4. I would never say Willis sucks I'd just say he's nothing special- I wouldn't trade him until I had a running back who I thought could help the team more- I think Marshawn Lynch will still be there at 12- I think he could be a better fit than McGahee I want a more versatile back- I think Detroit will take a QB with their first pick and still need a RB- MaGahee and our third for their second- of course we'd be taking a risk you never know about a player until they play in the NFL- the truth is that Lynch reminds me a little bit of Thurman.
  5. About the Tampa 2 -- Its about being quick not about being small-- the Tampa 2 can work if you have Warren Sapp, Tommy Harris type quickness at DT so you can shoot the gaps- Have I ever mentioned how much I hate systems coaches- It's amazing to me how few coaches can modify their "systems" to fit the talent they have- the word Football modifies the word genius the same way the word special modifies the word Olympics.
  6. Clements has top five talent but 10-20 production- the trouble is this is a very thin free agency CB class so unless you think Yoboty can come in and play at a high level you're gonna take a big hit at the CB spot if you don't resign him- personally I'd rather give 8mil to a good player worth 6mil more than I'd want to give 4mil to an average player worth 2mil.
  7. Take Marshawn Lynch with our 1st trade Willis and our third for Detroit's 2nd.
  8. I've seen better DT's than Pitcock or Okoye go in the 4th-7th rounds in the last few drafts - as much as teams talk about wanting run stuffers they spend money and high draft picks on players who show the ability to put pressure on the QB.
  9. We take Marshawn Lynch at 12 then trade Willis and our 2nd rd for NYG's 20th pick thats a possiblity.
  10. It's not like I think Willis sucks - I just don't think he's anything special- I don't think he's better than Henry- Hell I don't think he's much better than Antowain Smith- so hearing anything about a contract extention before the seasons over kinda chaps me - he's not good enough to be any type of disruption- he's the freaken 24th back in rushing yardage and he doesn't add much to the passing game - now you don't have to have an all world back to go to the Superbowl O.J. Anderson, Antowain Smith- so in that regard I'm ok with Willis but if he gives any indication that he's going to anything but shutup and play hard his last year then they should dump him like a bad habit.
  11. neither of them is Bruce Smith or Reggie White
  12. nope Lynch will give you 1568 yds rushing and receiving
  13. neither need to be resigned - Panther's just don't have very much cap room and Lucas is their 3rd cb - Jenkins has had some injury problems which has reuced him from great to merely very good.
  14. Yep but it didn't take - Kris Jenkins would help the line alot.
  15. I know he's had some injury problems but Kris Jenkins would be a sweet pickup
  16. Willis is a power back who in my opinion adds very little to the passing game- Willis needs a very good blocking fullback to be effective- the interior of our O-line seems more finess than the type of power blockers that would be best for McGahee's style of running- for the last few years the plan seemed to be for a power running ball control offence with a strong defense- I think with the emergence of Losman we might want to go to more one back sets with 2 TEs or 3 WRs. two different ways to go 1. go with Willis - replace at least one of your interior o-line with a great run blocker -get a great blocking FB- any TE needs to be a great blocker first- you'd like to replace Peerless with a taller tougher WR to run all the underneath routes and crossing patterns and as a redzone target. 2. get a quicker, shiftier better receiving back like Marshawn Lynch- keep our exsisting o-line- add a TE like Daniel Graham- have more size/speed options at the second receiver because Graham, Lynch, Reed, Parrish, could handle more underneath routes.
  17. Its too bad that the Bills Lost Ryan Pickett to Green Bay we'd might have won 2 more games.
  18. Lynch, RBs develope faster than WRs, also I have a bad feeling that Willis might hold out.
  19. I like Ernest Wilford who's a free agent- 6'4 225 good hands, good blocker, good special teams player- he's not fast but he could be a good #2.
  20. Bills Big resigning Clements Bills Big signing Adalius Thomas LB Bills Big Goodbyes London Fletcher-Baker, Chris Kelsay, Chris Villiarial, TKO Spikes, Sam Akiens, Tim Anderson Bills Medium signings Terdell Sands DT, Daniel Graham TE, Ernest Wilford WR Bills Medium resignings Mike Gandy, Anthony Hargrove, Andre Davis Bills huge shocking trade -McGahee and our 4th round pick for detroits 2nd round pick Bills draft 1 Marshawn Lynch RB, 2a Justin Blalock OG, 2b Amobi Okoye DT some people have Blalock and Okoye going in the first round but true tackles Long and Baker are going to knock Blalock down a little and Okoye youth and height will knock him down a little.
  21. The line improved from god awful to slightly below average- the question is how much better can they get- Peters was good and can get better- Pennington had a better rookie season than Mike Williams, he is suppose to have some athletic limitations but I've seen a lot of stiff right tackles who can do the job- he's a big strong guy with long arms and he's not a fat ass, I'd think he could become a mid-level type tackle- Preston is a big smart guy but he really needs to hit the weights hard and get stronger he'll never be a great athlete but getting stronger and losing a little fat can't hurt- So overall if the 3 young guys continue to improve individually plus the they improve from playing together I think they could go from slightly below average to slightly above average which would be pretty good compared to the crap I've been seeing for the last seven years
