  1. It would be interesting to know how much the Bills use machines and muscle isolation exercises as compared to whole body exercises like, sand bags, kettlebells, Olympic lifts, sled pushing and pulling, hill sprints, tire lifts, heavy bag punching and kicking and so on- the reason people went to machines is it seemed like a good way to limit injuries in training but sports are dynamic and for the last ten+ years more trainers have been going in the direction of trying to build strength and conditioning using full body exercises that build strength in all different angles and directions.
  2. My guess is by this time he's let himself get out of shape and doesn't want to embarrass himself- situations like this make me wonder about performance incentives are they avoided by players or teams- if I thought I was better than the contract offer I'd say fine but if I make certain goals I want a bonus and a renegotiation of the contract.
  3. I would would have preferred Loadholt or Sidbury over Bryd - Hope Bryd is the next Ed Reed - otherwise I'm gonna be critical of the pick for a long time.
  4. really a 2nd in 2010 is equivalent to a 1st in 2011
  5. Bills FO: Walker get over here you are our new starting LT Walker: Thank you sir but I don't think I'm really cut out for LT, I've tried before and I sucked. Bills FO: Listen Walker we're in the Bills front office and we know what we are doing, just do your best Walker: yes sir I'll do my best some times passes Bills FO: Walker why did you tell us you could play LT, you stink, you suck, we are cutting you right now, we can't abide people like you in our fine organization.
  6. Darryl Harris, I don't know a freaken thing about him except he's 6,4 300lbs, still I'd rather have him over Seth Mckinnie, does that make me a bad person?
  7. agreed -not saying more Bills deserve to be on the list but there are a lot of questionable names on that list.
  8. I don't know how it tastes but I'm sure those close to you know how it smells.
  9. This is the first optimistic reading of the Walker cutting that makes any sense to me- while your optimism offends me I cannot assail your logic, well played sir, well played.
  10. Jon Runyan Cons: 35, coming off serious injury, Even if he was healthly can a giant 35 yo man thrive in a fast paced no-huddle attack. Pros: was one of the better RTs in the NFL, there is a history of OTs playing effectively until almost 40, a game that is based on size, strength and intelligence can last much longer than one based on speed and quickness. (see Ted Washington)
  11. I doubt that any are worthy of such a punishment - to clean or sit where you have sat your large and unwashed bottom.
  12. I don't want any RT who can be held by mere chains
  13. Ok you can worry about Bell- I'll worry about Butler - try this, look at all the other teams RT, see how many you'd rate worse than Butler.
  14. I'll go with 4 mugging for the camera, 2 quotable halftime statements, and 3 tweets.
  15. His ankle he injured his senior season is still not 100% maybe it never will be- a smaller LB who at one time had 4.5 type speed now has 4.7 type speed- McGahee never got back the speed that made him so feared in college and that's what had most teams having him as a 3-4 round pick, of course not for our Tommy D who was so much smarter than everyone else.
  16. Here's the real question - if you're taking a shot at the playoff as the T.O. signing suggests why just blowup the Oline - if you are rebuilding why did you rent T.O. for a year and why didn't you cut Schobel, Kelsay, and Denney- The Bills always seem incoherent to me because I think in terms of building a playoff team but they make perfect sense if there goal is to sell as many season tickets as possible at the smallest outlay of cash.
  17. So when your hand is in the same condition as your brain we can have the tickets- good to know.
  18. I always liked Haggan big strong tough guy not much of an athlete though - a better fit in the 3-4 than the 4-3, is that what Denver plays?
  19. Steve Hutchinson was around when the Bills decided on Dockery cost a little more played a lot better.
  20. I'm not angry that they finally realized that Walker couldn't play LT I'm angry that they put him there in the first place- and Butler better be at least as good as Walker was last year at RT or you really have to look at what criteria this organization uses to judge who stays and who goes.
  21. They are horses of a different color.
  22. To me if Bryd isn't Ed Reeds then that was a stupid pick -Phil Loadholt was there as was Unger and some nice DEs- boy I wanted Sidbury- If Bryd isn't great then everyone involved with the pick should be fired.
