  1. You know what would be sweet- Youboty for Williams and then McCargo and a draft pick for Tony Ugoh
  2. I agree with you mostly - I just think loser is harsh- to me Schobel is a symptom of the Bills organization hesitancy to pay top dollar to great talent- they end up paying 3 or 4 mediocre players more than they're worth.
  3. That's pretty harsh- Schobel is an undersized guy who has lost a step- I would not agree that he is a loser, just not good enough to justify his salary, sports are cruel but you make big bucks that's the trade off.
  4. many of the same guys, I do hope DT Derek Jones makes the team. 1) QB Matt baker 2) Rb Bruce Hall 3) Wr Felton Huggins 4) Wr Cj Hawthorn 5) Te Derek Fine 6) Te Travis Mccall 7) LB Ryan Manalac 8) Ol Nick Hennessey 9) De Chris Kelsey 10)DB Lydell Sargeant 11) Lb Pat Thomas 12) Lb Solomon Elimimian 13)Lb Ashlee Palmer 14)Fs Ko Simpson 15 Safty John Wendling
  5. you are probably a realist - but I still think if you took the best talent on this team, put them in the right positions, and gave DJ a shot of testosterone and adrenaline we could go 10-6 and a wild card.
  6. Hey now, that's a trade that just might work for both teams- I put you in the running for our next GM
  7. Any word on what they are looking to get for him.
  8. Ok three questions to anybody who has watched the game more than once- I watched the game at a bar yesterday so I might be off but - 1. does Jonathan Scott look pretty good as a RT 2. is Marcus Smith the biggest 295lb guy ever 3. did Derek Jones burst into the Backfield a couple of times like he was shot out of a cannon.
  9. I don't know if this should be a ray of hope or not but we have not seen our best 22 together yet- until I see an offense of T.O. Nelson Bell, Butler, Hangarter, Wood, Walker, Stupar Evans Edwards Lynch and a defense Ellis Stroud Williams Bryan subbed by Mace, McCargo, Jones, Maybin, Johnson Harris Poz Michell Mckelvin Whitner, Bryd McGee If you put this team out there and they sucked then I would agree the season is bleak.
  10. I really liked Corey Williams when he played for Green Bay but I was less impressed when I watched Cleveland - Injuries or the system?
  11. If I were the Bills I would have immediately redone Peters contract after his first pro-bowl probably to 6mil with the sincere promise of revisiting his contract if he made a second pro-bowl. If that happens maybe he doesn't get a hard-ball agent like Parker and we are still one big happy family. I do have questions about Peters longevity if he keeps his weight at the 350+ mark - I don't think he's fat but weight is weight and big men who move fast put tremendous stress on their legs.
  12. Not only am I going to start Bell at LT I'm going to move Walker to LG and Jonathan Scott to RT my 5 skill positions are T.O, Nelson, Stupar, Evans and Jackson and If Edwards stinks it up the first three games I'm playing Lynch and Jackson together with no QB - a no huddle, hurry up, wildcat, run and shoot - hell Edwards hasn't thrown the ball more than 20 yards all preseason I bet both Lynch and Jackson can throw it that far.
  13. Derek Jones exploded into the back field a couple times too bad he will be a cut.
  14. Neither side cared a rat's a$$ about the Bill's fans- and both sides cared more about money than winning- The thing that crushes me is the weak effort the Bills made to strengthen the Oline- There were some pretty good interior linemen in FA and the Bills just got Hangarter who is only adequate at center nothing special- the Bills could of signed Jason Brown and Chris kemoeatu, that interior line would have looked a lot stronger- and in the second round they could have gone after Beatty and Loadholt.
  15. I'd rather that Brady play and be a little off on his throws- sometimes the rest of the team rise to the occasion with a #2 in there.
  16. 1. Watching Bell and Walker at LT I'd say Bell is at least as good as Walker and he looks a little better every game he plays. 2. Bell doesn't remind me of Peters at all, as a player he reminds me much more of D'Brickashaw Ferguson- He plays very well against speed and has some trouble against power- I think Richard Seymore will be a very hard match-up for Bell but he's a pretty hard match-up against anyone. 3. Walker was a an ok RT his Pass Blocking was good and his run blocking was adequate, Walker rarely gets bull rushed and if he gets his hands on you and locks out his arms you are pretty much done. He lacks explosion at the line and doesn't run very well, but on the plus side I've seen him just push linebackers out of his way as he jogs along. 4. Butler might be the better run blocker- he certainly runs better- he can be bull rushed and he doesn't have the smoothest lateral movement I've ever seen. 5. I'd like to see Jonathan Scott go against a #1 defense because there's been a couple times I've been watching later in the game and said that's some nice work- who's 79- but that's against scrubs so who can tell, but it's better than sucking against scrubs.
  17. I was so wishing that Raji would drop to the Bills- of course if Raji did drop to the Bills there is no guarantee the Bills would have taken him and I would be even more down.
  18. If the Bills can figure out the OL before the regular season they will be ahead of where they usually are- how long did it take them to figure out Greer could play or Anthony Thomas couldn't.
  19. Could be, I've never really understood picking up Hangarten, I thought the main reason for the change was to get guys who could handle the huge NTs and DTs that gave this team such problems last year- I thought Jason Brown, and Chris Kemoeatu fit the Bill much better.
  20. It's been my opinion that Bell has the most upside at LT - Bell is very good against speed and quickness and has some trouble against power- which is why I think he fits better at LT than RT- right now I think the best lineup would be Bell, Butler, Hangartner, Wood, Walker
  21. I've watched Scott play a little bit and he's not that bad- the truth is Maybin is gonna give up 50-100lbs to OTs and he doesn't have the type of lower body strength someone like Bruce Smith had, so if he's gonna win it's going to be with Superior speed and techniques, I don't think the technique is going to be there for awhile.
  22. Why did you leave Denney out of your top ten he had 58 tackles and 4 sacks 1 forced fumble and seven pass defenses - Schobel was on pace for 60.8 tackles 3.2 sacks 0 forced fumbles and 3.2 pass defenses- if you don't want to count Schobel's 5th game the pace would be 60, 4, 0, 4 if Schobel is a stud then there can be no denying that Denney is also a stud as he also can play DT and special teams- in fact our DE's must be wonderful- who can argue with such clear statistics.
  23. I have no hate for Schobel I just think he's done - I didn't think his 2007 season was very good and I thought his play in 2008 before the injury was worse- some people talk like he was ripping it up before his injury I don't think that was the case at all- you can point to tackles but the gold standard for DE's is sacks - which DE lead the league in tackles last year or the year before? you are a better man than me if you know that stat off the top of your head- Schobel hasn't looked good to me in preseason and if he had double digit sacks last season I wouldn't care but he's coming off two seasons where he has looked mediocre at best and an injury - he's undersized and is at an age where quickness diminishes and injury is more likely- Schobel is too well paid to be a backup, can't play DT, and doesn't play special teams -I don't see that he is at this point a significantly better player than Ellis or Bryan and they have a chance to improve while Schobel's play will at best stay constant and at worst decline.
  24. this might be true but if I wasn't looking for the gesture I would have never noticed it and if I had noticed it I would have thought he was doing something with his chinstrap or scratching his neck- like I said not a very impressive cut your throat gesture in my opinion.
  25. first to any who say I have optimism, I say screw you take back, I'm very insulted Now let me make the case for a possibility of 10-6 1. we have seen Reed as the #2 WR two games in a row and we know from last year that sucks - to have any chance we need Reeds role to be no more than the slot receiver in a three WR set. 2. The O-line has been horribly mismanaged, to have a chance Walker needs to be moved back to RT, Butler to Guard at least to Levitra knows what he's doing and Bell to LT 3. Marshawn needs to lose some of that weight I don't care what Chris Brown says he looks sluggish. 4. Schouman and Fine do nothing well enough to start - the base lineup should be T.O. Nelson, Stupar, Evans, Jackson until Lynch comes back 5. Schobel and Kelsay have to be cut, Denney can play in rotation with Ellis, Bryan, Maybin and Mace 6. Nick Harris starts end of story 7. The DTs are Stroud, Williams, McCargo, Jones sorry Mr Johnson but I'm limited each position to one hustle try hard guy and that's Williams 8. Byrd better start or anyone who had anything to do with that pick should lose all rights to go anywhere near the draft ever again.
