  1. I really don't think he's been that brutal. Not as good as last season, but it's not like it's time to write him off or anything.
  2. Someone on this board once said that this type of thinking only facilitates a loser's mentality in this organization. I still don't know whether I buy that or not...
  3. I'd be thrilled with this draft (although I prefer Wilson to Jones).
  4. I thought the article was excellent. I like that no players were interviewed--the city and the fans are the subject.
  5. I did not look at it that way at the time, but i think you're right, that's an excellent observation! Even if Hank wasn't thinking about Walt in that moment, it at least puts the seed in his mind.
  6. The only part I've read so far is the commerce clause section. I was really surprised it was not held up on those grounds--not because I have any love for commerce clause power, but I read thought that argument was far stronger than the tax argument. Anyway, I know jack about tax power and haven't read the whole opinion yet, so I'll join you in withholding further comment till I've sorted through it.
  7. Well, if you hate Wickard you can take solace in today's opinion-- Part III-A essentially put up a giant road block on Commerce Clause expansion. After this, it's hard to see the Court expanding the power unless they overrule this opinion.
  8. Don't complain about this unless you have specific players in mind the Bills should have drafted and reasons why they would be better than the player selected.
  9. Haha, yeah, that was priceless! Kiper: He'll play guard for the Bills. Boomer: ...I don't think so, Mel.
  10. Love this pick! He may take some time to develop, but I think this guy could stick around at LT for years to come!
  11. I don't think Jones is very impressive. Maybe he'll mature into a big time player, but I don't think the Bills have to worry about him for 2 yrs (if ever).
  12. I agree with this: we should be drafting LBs that can cover Gronkowski, Hernandez, and Bush in passing situations. Now, I don't know if that's part of Kuechly's skill set, but if it is, then he's definitely worth #10. If not, then I'd pass.
  13. Agreed--all you'll have is a team of good players.
  14. Wow, I'd be thrilled with this draft! I put in a vote for the Center. I don't know anything about any of these guys, but given Wood's injury history, having an insurance policy in place is a good idea.
  15. The Killing, directed by Kubrick, 1956, and staring Sterling Hayden (who played the crooked cop that hit Michael Corleone in The Godfather). Fantastic build-up that really pays off in the last 20 minutes.
  16. Whom does he influence? Does anyone of importance actually take him seriously these days? I always thought he was like the Colin Cowherd of politics: generates controversy, gets ratings, but ultimately is just screaming into the abyss as far as influence goes.
  17. I rented the Innkeepers on iTunes. I recommend it, much scarier than the Woman in Black (which wasn't bad, just nothing special). The director's previous film, the House of the Devil, was fantastic, and this had kind of the same slow burn, atmospheric horror element to it more so than stuff popping out a la Paranormal Activity. My only main complaint is that it took a little too long for anything to happen--I think the first half of the movie could have been shortened by 10-20 mins without losing anything. Otherwise, I was very happy, and definitely creeped out.
  18. 1. Coples 2. Mercilus 3. Reiff 4. Brown 5. No one--I pray it's one of the above 4 or Upshaw.
