  1. When I went to Paris in 2006, the people there could not have been nicer to my friends and me-- asking if we needed directions, helping us on the subway, etc. And they were a lot of fun to drink with, too.
  2. You might want to brush up on your WWI history...
  3. So, in essence, a matter of your personal taste and opinion governs whether the invite was prudent. Brilliant.
  4. Please become a millionaire hip-hop star, then. Anyone can rap? Really. Anyone can sing like !@#$ing Bob Dylan too.
  5. When did MLK say that? I've never heard that quote before.
  6. It's the best show currently on TV (or for which there are still new episodes to come... you know what I mean). At least you only just finished season 3-- it will have been over a full year of waiting for season 4 for those of us who watched season 3 on tv!
  7. It sucked. This series is all but over. It was going to be an uphill battle for the Kings without Kopitar, and they aren't doing themselves any favors by losing two games they should have won.
  8. Twin Peaks, Twilight Zone, Party Down, Parks & Recreation (Seasons 1 & 2)
  9. I totally agree- I could never understand how people watched golf on TV until I started playing myself. I'm not watching every tournament, but now I can sit there and watch the Sunday of a major tournament. (And for the record, I love watching baseball)
  10. Ignore that guy... he has it in for Albany, for some reason. Seriously, he pops in to every thread that mentions Albany and accuses people of not being Bills fans. It's very strange.
  11. Me too– the game I want more than any other. I can't believe it's been 7 year since we've beaten them. It's pathetic.
  12. Sadly, the Jets. Little known fact: the baby from Rosemary's Baby grew up to be Bill Belichick. There is nothing worse than a Pats victory, even if it's to the New Jersey Jets.
  13. Why is Spiller on that list? Isn't it a little early to label him a failure?
  14. Is it: if you're pressed into service as a kick returner because of injury and blow it like we all expected you to do anyway, you're off the team? Or is it, have one really ****ty game at CB in a 2-10 campaign and you're kicked to the curb? That's leadership!
  15. Right on– next season will tell if this is the start of something real or another sputtering engine going nowhere.
  16. He did have two sure-fire picks dropped, as well. I'm not saying we definitely need a new QB, I'm just sayin'.
  17. Yeah, I agree. Right now, tie goes to the defense if there are 2 players you feel good about at your draft slot, but if Nix is feeling good about an OL, he should take him if he really feels the lineman is the BPA. Really, outside of WRs, DBs, and RBs, it's BPA across the board.
  18. Yes– after they beat the Chargers at home to go to 5-1 two years ago. That's why it's hard for me to be confident in any Bills team until they clinch that playoff spot. I hope you are right, and I do feel good about the direction of this team, but I've gotten confident before and seen it all crumble.
  19. Agreed. After the disaster against the Jets earlier this year, I was almost ashamed to root for such a terrible team. I'm even more proud of them now that they've come back from such a terrible game to bring it every week.
  20. Hey davey, thanks for the tip, but its a message board, so I'm not going to stop and I'm going to say what I think, regardless of how many people disagree with me. I am taking the opposing D into consideration, and I stick to my point that the offense was not impressive today. I disagree with Joe that they are "not that far off," they still seem a ways away to me.
  21. But he DROPPED it! What should have happened means jack ****.
  22. I'm just shocked anyone can come away from today's game saying, wow, our offense is good! I'm happy with what we've got and what we're doing! when Fitz had a 50% completion percentage, Evans and Johnson shat this game away, 74 yards total rushing, 2 turnovers, and 16 points in 4 1/2 quarters. I would never call that a good offense.
  23. That's a good point... if he mans up and can come back strong from a terrible day, something good came out of this.
