  1. Play Peterman. They need to find out what they've got, and TT is not going anywhere, nor is the team with him as QB. But I suspect that this coach does not have the guts to make a change until the team is at least two games under .500.
  2. The poor guy has wasted his career by playing in Buffalo. He gave it his all under all circumstances and is a shadow of what he was. This makes me think that those players who dread being drafted by Buffalo are right, and the ones who escape by free agency or trade must be thanking the gods.
  3. Exactly. I was skeptical of McDermott & Beane from their hiring, even more so after they began their fire sale of all the young talent on the team. This team is going nowhere this season and will be even worse next.
  4. The offensive players they had last season scored 25 points per game and led the league in rushing. The offensive line was among the best in the league. The new regime changed the scheme, got ride of the skill position players except for TT and Shady, and suddenly they can't do anything right. They think MIke Tolbert is a fine backup halfback to McCoy. They fired an great O Line coach and put in an incompetent. So now they are going to draft their own players and everything will go great. We'll see.
  5. The Pegulas have made their bed and we must all lie in it. As they have with the Sabres. They should have kept Whaley and let him hire is own head coach for once. But that train has left the station and here we are with Opie and the Beane, the smartest guys on the planet.
  6. McDermott and Beane have destroyed the roster of this team, and nothing can be done until they get the players that fit their "system." Maybe something will get done once they draft and sign their own players, but I'm not convinced. They think they are the smartest guys in the room and the results are showing that they are not.
  7. After two losses like they've just taken, 6-10 is optimistic.
  8. We'll see how your prediction works out. I believe you will be proven wrong. It ain't happening with Taylor at QB.
  9. If McDermott has any balls he will start Peterman. We know what we've got with Tyrod.
  10. News for you pal: after a couple more performances like this, if McBeane say it will take until 2019-20 for them to play winning football, I would say that they better hire bodyguards.
  11. They will have to hit on EVERY draft choice to fill the holes they have created on this team by trading away good players or switching schemes so the players we have don't fit anymore.
  12. . . . because this team has been depleted of talent. I am not impressed with what they have done, and I don't see how they are going to fix all the problems they have generated in a single draft, not matter how many picks they have.
  13. As far as their playoff chances go, the seven AFC games coming up after the NO game are more important. If I had to choose whether I prefer them winning the NO game vs. the San Diego game, beating the Chargers helps them much more even if the Bills' overall record comes out the same. Of course the solution to this is to win both games.
  14. On the contrary, that 2004 team was the hottest team in the league down the stretch. They lost their first four games of the season and then went 9-2 through their next 11, winning games by huge margins (their previous six games going into the Steelers game the Bills won 37-17, 38-9, 42-32, 37-7, 33-17, and 41-7). Then they crapped out in that final Steelers game, ended up 9-7, and missed the playoffs. That team would have wiped out the current Bills team.
  15. I just watched the game on game replay, and though they made numerous errors and tackled badly and the play calling was often suspect and in general they looked bad especially in the second half . . . I thought Tyrod played a good game, especially considering the pressure he was under Zay Jones looked very good I am not so down on the team as I was having seen only the hightlights/lowlights. I think they will bounce back from this game and play much better. Whether this will mean many more wins this season is an open question.
  16. Yes. Beane got rid of all the young talent that was left on the team.
  17. I couldn't watch the game tonight, but I told a friend I was out with that I was not sold on the Bills being any better than previous teams. I told him that the Jets game would be a real test because every time they have started well for 17 years, this is the kind of game they go out and lose, usually badly. Same old story. The fact that this team needs to get 2 or 3 turnovers in order to win tells you a lot about them. It is not sustainable and will not be sustained. And thanks to the fire sale of skilled players this is not a talented team.
  18. As I opined in another thread, there sure are a lot of furious white people watching the NFL.
  19. I'd still rather have Woods and Watkins than Benjamin and Matthews. More simply, Watkins >>Benjamin
  20. What a mistake Whaley made in trading for him.
  21. Maybe we can lame Whaley for global climate change, and my athlete's foot.
  22. Most people here seem to be doing their happy dance over this move. Seems like a mistake to me, but at this point I am reconciled to the fact that McBeane are going to do what they are going to do, and if I am going to be a fan of this team I should just go along for the ride. It's all on them, and if it works I will be happy and if it blows up in their faces I reserve to right to say they are idiots.
  23. I think it's funny how so many in these discussions think that this super-duper draft is going to fill every hole on the Bills' roster. They'll package all their picks to move up and get a franchise quarterback, and then use those same picks that they have given away to draft pro bowl tackles, linebackers, receivers, defensive backs, pass rushers, a running back, and offensive linemen. Piece of cake. This is what happened in 2003 when Eil Manning, Philip Rivers, and Ben Rothliesberger were drafted ahead of us, and we drafted J.P. Losman later in the first round. I didn't necessarily think it was the wrong thing to do, but in hindsight it was a mistake.
  24. You know, there are an awful lot of racist NFL fans. No kidding.
