  1. Can't figure out how to embed the darn thing, but this tweet is hilarious. Rich Fann II @RDotDeuce Follow @ByTimGraham After interviewing for Bears, Jets and Falcons for Head Coach, only natural for him to punt on 4th.
  2. Peyton was overheard humming the following to the Nationwide Insurance theme: "hire that douche and I am gone"
  3. He also played his entire career in Denver and was Elway's backup. I assume they are close and that this is his dream job.
  4. Interesting that most have commented that, love him or hate him, Rex makes the Bills more relevant on a national stage. Lo and behold, ESPN sends Michele Steele to Buffalo to cover the presser and it is being held in the fieldhouse to accommodate what I am sure will be a large national press contingent. Hopefully the wins will follow but we should all have some fun with this as long as it lasts.
  5. weird, when I look at that picture I think of Lebanese porn.
  6. Please let it be true. He would be a huge addition to our personnel dept in whatever capacity they bring him in.
  7. 72 inches and counting now. Unreal volume of snow.
  8. up near 60" since last night in West Seneca. I have lived in this house 26+ years. This is by far the worst storm we have had. There is no close second. Still snowing heavy now. This lake effect band has not moved an inch. It was sunny and dry at my office in Williamsville today (not that I could get there). Crazy lake effect. Hope your Mom is OK.
  9. wife and I did it last year for our 25th anniversary. FWIW, we planned the trip using an experienced travel agent as there are just too many variables and decisions to make. We normally plan our own trips. I agree that www.cruisecritic.com is a good site. We settled on an 11 day land and sea cruise with the Princess Cruise line. We sailed in late May out of Vancouver on a 7 day northbound cruise. The ports were great and the excursions we chose were excellent for the most part. This was our first cruise of any kind and we enjoyed it but are not anxious to do another. Thought the food was just OK. The weather was fantastic, bright sunshine most days and pleasant temps, but that was pure luck. The 4 day land portion of the trip was great. Princess has their own rail line and lodges and they are very nice. Denali (the park and the mountain) were indescribably beautiful. Saw tons of wildlife which was a thrill. Flew home out of Anchorage which we found to be a nice city. The trip was very expensive but we were very happy we did it and consider it a once in a lifetime thing.
  10. link to a shortened version available for preview. Very emotional. Continued prayers for JK. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/how-buffalo-helped-hall-of-fame-quarterback-jim-kelly-recover-from-cancer/
  11. they have the call posted now and it was TPegs http://media.wgr550.com/a/97893687/10-11-pegula-calls-the-hobby.htm Now I can't stand Schopp and his misplaced arrogance as much as anyone, but in fairness, he engaged the caller and simply ran out of time. Terry was having trouble getting his comments out which didn't help. A non-story IMO. The story is that Terry called in the first place.
  12. that was flat out fun to watch (and emotional). Cannot wait for Sunday!
  13. Great news. Congrats Terry and Kim. Congrats Buffalo. Happy Pegula Day!
  14. I'm in my office too. Own my own CPA practice and another due date is coming (Oct. 15). Check this site occasionally while at work to break up the day and provide a few laughs (usually unintentionally).
  15. A really nice write up by Vic Carucci as to why the Bills benched EJ after film review of the Texans game. http://bills.buffalonews.com/2014/09/30/vic-caruccis-xs-os-led-ej-manuels-benching/
  16. Little Jimmy Thurber of Tulsa OK. He enjoyed a nice dinner today of Gerber mashed bananas and then pooped his diaper. Can't wait.
  17. make no mistake, there is no way I could do that every week as I am also an old fogey. But as a one off it was a lot of fun. Looking forward to the Ralph experience tomorrow.
  18. Yes. Calico Jack's is next to McFaddens and is packed with Bills fans also. We were in NYC last week for the opener and planned to watch in McFaddens. We arrived at 11:30am and it was already to capacity so we went next door and got the last table. Had a ball with fellow Bills fans and, needless to say, both places went nuts when Freddie stiff armed that d-bag into oblivion. We met a lot of very nice folks. Highly recommend.
  19. Phew. That was quite a risk by the front office exposing hime to waiver claims like that. [/s]. Glad he stuck around.
  20. Based on how Marrone spoke so highly of Powell on WGR this morning, I don't think he was on the bubble.
  21. The store exterior really does look great and progress is swift now (though there still is much to do by the looks of it). One thing I saw Sunday was the Toyota Super Gate 2 had a pickup truck painted in Bills colors and decals mounted on the angled gate roof. It looked very cool. Hammer was that you mowing your lawn around 4pm?
