From what I've heard (which is only from conventional news sources), the Saudis are every bit as riled up over our current handling of Iran's nuclear ambitions as are the Israelis. I remember one pundit using the term 'apoplectic'.

They already have one. It has a greater wingspan than a 747, flies two people, has a top speed of 43 mph, and only flies at night. Don't expect any commercial applications anytime soon. -
So, did you enjoy the Chelo-Kababs we sent you?

It's like I said before - as long as he says anything, no matter how nonsensical or scatological, he thinks he's winning. It's actually pretty entertaining. -
It seems pretty obvious to me that if/when Iran does develop nuclear weapons that most - if not all - of the other middle eastern nations will want to arm themselves as well. The Saudis in particular come to mind. Does anyone think that a middle eastern nuclear arms race would be a good thing?

Yes, indeed. In fact, about half of our brunettes are blondes. Unfortunately I can't introduce you to any. It was a grievous breach of protocol when your low level associate gave us the finger, so any previously negotiated offers are for now, off the table.

Miller would be great. He's as fast on his feet as Stewart, which is what gives the Daily Show its greatest appeal, IMO. Slim ball? Dictionaries aren't expensive, you know. -
You'll be pleased to know that your representative in the UN has made good use of the delay by working with the NSA in bugging the sh#t out of all the foreign Ambassadors' offices, as well as slipping a little pork into the Iranians' Chelo-Kababs. I'm also working on a proposal to Japan's honored Ambassador for some cross-cultural trade:

For me, hands down, this is the worst thing they ever recorded - from the B side of Let It Be, the stunningly awful You Know My Name, Look Up The Number http://youtu.be/YmHEsR_MVio

I see how 'incomplete' better describes my point than 'wrong' does. Despite my interest in both subjects, you know much more than I do regarding physics and cosmology. My knowledge of Einstein extends more to the man himself than the actual mechanics of his theories (in fact I usually have to use the 'bowling ball on a rubber sheet' analogy when discussing General Relativity). It may not have been the best example to use relativity vs Newtonian physics in my example, but that seemed the best method for making my point given that Gator brought up the subject of gravity as being another 'settled' science. -

They're not being truthful about their work being conclusive. But go ahead and ignore the more detailed explanation I gave in post # 593. You're not trying to learn anything anyway. -

Why is it that you think that I'm claiming that they're lying? They can very easily be being sincere and still be wrong. Newton wasn't lying about gravity, but he was wrong about it. Everyone just assumed that he was right for several hundred years. Did Einstein accuse Newton of lying? No, he simply illustrated how Newton was incorrect. -

That right there is all you need to know that they're not being truthful. -
Like with many others, naming my favorite depends on what day I'm asked. I tend to like certain albums for one specific song which, to me, stands out above the others on that particular record. Generally speaking, my favorite Beatles albums were those from around the mid point of their career and after. Since my favorite Beatles song is probably 'I Am The Walrus', I'll have to go with Magical Mystery Tour as my favorite, but there are so many great songs that they did throughout the years, that naming one song/album as their 'best' is pretty much an impossible task.

No interest in owning one whatsoever. I don't even see any advantage in owing one.

If you had any idea of what you're talking about, you'd know that Einstein proved Newton to be incorrect in his definition of what gravity is, and due to the fact that General Relativity is still a theory, there may still be more to learn. I almost admire your ability to ignore facts and soldier on without a shred of embarrassment. Because someone is a climate skeptic, they must all believe the exact same thing, huh? You ought to pay closer attention to what people say. You might save yourself the effort of having to type out your next hissy fit. -
I said Brian Johnson??? #@&%#!!!!! For the record, the Beatles were indeed very raw and focused very heavily on old-fashioned rock & roll, but that was back in their club days. They had adopted a blend of the old R&R mixed with folk when they began focusing on their own material. I can just imagine Brian Johnson of AC/DC playing guitar and backing vocals in the Stones.

I never said that I know any better, you cretin. Let me rephrase it so that even a mononeuronic individual such as yourself might have a chance to understand the whole point of this thing: conclusive science is a product of continual study, it's NOT voted on. -

If you read the whole thread, you'd know that the answer to your question is 'no'. Like usual, you're assuming without knowing, which in your own words 'seems pretty silly'. But we're used to that. -

Both bands were great, but The Beatles did their thing and then called it quits when they were still very popular and very influential in both music and popular culture. They also had a secret weapon not often acknowledged for his influence in shaping their sound: George Martin. For my tastes, The Rolling Stones' best work was during the Brian Johnson years. They changed their sound with their adding/replacing of members over the years, and have been very, very weak since the Some Girls/Tattoo You days. McCartney's penchant for writing pop-style (Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Obla Di Obla Da, etc) songs was balanced by Lennon's more dark and somber songs (Revolution, I want You/She's So Heavy, etc). They each had their own beautiful compositions, like McCartney's Let It Be or Lennon's Across The Universe. A great example of both Lennon's and McCartney's styles together in one song is The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill, with the McCartney portion being the intro/chorus and the Lennon portion being the verse. You can clearly hear each's style and personality juxtaposed back-to-back. Another strength of The Beatles which was sadly underutilized was compositions by George Harrison, since he was never allowed more than one or two songs per album. While My Guitar Gently Weeps and It's All Too Much are only two examples. Nothing against The Stones, I like a lot of their old (old) material, but they came along in the footsteps of The Beatles, and never had the impact on popular music they way The Beatles did.

You mean that the consensus is that there is a consensus? Six out of ten climatologists agree that seven out of ten climatologists believe in AGW.
