  1. This actually seems like the best idea so far.
  2. No it isn't. It's addictive, but according to both my cardiologist and my pulmonary specialist, it is not harmful. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicotine su madre!
  3. They're spending our aid money effectively? The nerve of those bastards!
  4. If I sound 'worked up', it's only because you're trying to argue something with me that I'm not even talking about. I'll give you credit for coming up with a novel way of not losing a debate, though.
  5. Good lord, now you're talking nuclear energy? You're having a conversation that I am not.
  6. 3 billion is what - like 4 jets?
  7. It's nice to agree with you once in a while.
  8. I'm labeling their government exactly as it is, and telling you exactly why I think it's a mistake to allow them even a possibility of developing nuclear arms. You on the other hand are doing verbal back flips about Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Brazil, ethnic cleansing, and whatever else you can toss into the equation, and saying that we've discussed the rhetoric at length. There is no rhetoric in what I'm saying, and my point can't possibly be any more plain - I believe it would be a huge mistake to allow Iran to attain any form of nuclear arms. Further, it is completely beyond my ability to comprehend why any American would think that Iran + nuclear weapons is not a very bad idea.
  9. I still use a vaporizer. I swear by it, and my cardiologist was delighted when I made the switch. All of the nicotine, none of the negative health effects, and it is an adequate enough smoking simulation to satisfy.
  10. So long as the gas isn't carbon dioxide.....
  11. So an Islamic theocracy that refers to us as 'the great Satan', who vows to wipe Israel from the map, and happens to be an oil-rich country in addition to holding the 3rd largest oil reserves on Earth is developing nuclear technology for infrastructure and not for nuclear weapons? And you believe them?
  12. I'd be surprised if there isn't a very large bureaucracy devoted to determining what his meals will be.
  13. I knew you'd be able to relate.
  14. So you believe that Iran's nuclear ambitions are simply for energy and not for warheads?
  15. And as someone with no party affiliation at all, I'm also anti-patriot act and anti-ACA. In fact, I'm anti-most of Washington.
  16. So you're not concerned at all about a nuclear Iran, because the machinations of Israel and the Saudis are responsible for our war in Iraq? Yeah, that makes sense.
  17. It could simply be a case of 'do as I say, not as I do'. He's the president, after all. You know, a ruling class privilege sort of thing.
  18. Where's Wilhelm? I remember that.
  19. Shut yer mouth Seamus, or I hit ye with my shilelagh!
  20. That was probably a very wise decision, though it must have been tempting considering your culinary skills. It's a much tougher business than most people realize.
  21. He was probably my favorite author. I had the opportunity to meet him at a book signing in Austin a number of years ago, and was nervous as hell, but he was genuine, funny, kind, and appreciative, which made my appreciation of the man grow even stronger. If you're a fan of fantasy stories and you've never read one of his many Discworld novels, I highly recommend them. He can be compared to Douglas Adams in that what Adams did for science fiction, Pratchett did for fantasy, but in my opinion, Pratchett was much funnier. He died of Posterior Cortical Atrophy, a rare form of Alzheimer's which withers and shrinks the rear portions of the brain. He was only 66. http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-31858156
  22. I learned about the Wilhelm scream several years ago, and once you've heard it and know what it is, you'll be amazed at how often you hear it from then on.
  23. I agree with some of what you're saying, especially regarding the Saudis, and to an extent with the Israeli settlements. All I am doing is separating those issues from the issue of a nuclear armed Iran. That doesn't mean that we have to view them in isolation, it only means that we are addressing one problem at a time, with urgency setting the priority.
