It's going to be entertaining for sure, but let's be honest - it's more a contest of who can generate the best sound bites than it is a debate. Nobody will drop out of the race after tonight. To be honest, I'm hoping to catch some of the early debate if possible. Rick Perry alone is going to be comic gold. Did anyone catch his statement last week where he said (paraphrasing) " both the congress and the executive branch need to address the solutions facing the american people" ? I'm still laughing at that one.

Another thing that I rarely hear mentioned is that we're creating a subservient class of people when we encourage them to come in, not learn English, and perform work that 'Americans don't want to do' for a wage that most Americans would never accept. It's exploitation, plain & simple, and the proponents of amnesty either fail to see that, or just don't care.

Also, most - if not all - emergency response centers (police/fire/EMS) now employ what is called 'E911' (enhanced 911) which will deliver your number, home address, and even your location via GPS, so emergency access isn't much of a concern anymore.

We should simplify our immigration process across the board (by that I include Europeans, Asians, Africans, etc), while stiffening the penalties for illegal entry. Anyone who wishes to become a citizen should have to take the citizenship test in English. I don't care at all what language they choose to speak at home, but a person needs to be able to communicate in English if they ever hope to earn a decent living here. You're making this about race, when the issue is as much about culture as anything else. To many immigrant latinos, speaking english is offensive to their culture. A large portion of them do not speak any english at all, and consider it an affront to their culture to speak anything other than latino spanish. You mention blacks and jews - did you never learn in school that many american slaves had to teach their children to read and write in secret? Despite the terrible treatment they suffered as slaves, they knew that the best chance their children had of having a better life lay in literacy. And as far as jews are concerned, how many have you encountered - or even heard of - that refused to assimilate into our society? How many times have you spent 45 minutes in a jewish deli trying to order because all they spoke at the counter was Yiddish?

You are by no means a special case, which means that if you say something that anyone thinks is idiotic, you're going to hear about it, just like the rest of us do. If you can't handle that, then you're better off leaving.

Zach definitely plays an important role in The Master's scheme, at least because he's with Eph & Setrakian. His mom-turned-strigoi is sending out her new 'children' to find Zach - and by association, those that almost killed The Master. If I had to guess, I'd predict that Ms Marchant (Palmer's hot assistant) will wind up either strigoi fodder, in league with Councilwoman Feraldo, or both. I'm really hoping that Fitzwilliam hooks up with either Gus or Eph/Setrakian.
