I imagine that if people knew they were going to be reincarnated, that religions dealing with an afterlife would just go away. No sitting at the right hand of so-and-so, no virgins, no nothing. I don't know if that kind of knowledge would have a positive effect on people or a negative one. I'm able to imagine all kinds of possibilities, but nothing stands out as being a likely way that people would react to the news.
