  1. Never. That, more than anything, disqualifies him from holding the presidency in my book. Absolutely 100% in enthusiastic agreement. I will never budge on that.
  2. I'll never understand the need so many people have to assign labels to others. Since when has marching along in lock-step been admirable?
  3. I like the way you portray those who disagree with you as complete losers and then run away from the thread. Bravo.
  4. I understand that some studies indicate an increase in violent crime during the summer months, but I don't know how much of an effect that would have in those regions, since the violence is already very prevalent there. I suppose it's possible, but for our government to use it as an excuse for their ineptitude in dealings in those regions is an insult to our intelligence, imo.
  5. We're talking about two regions in the world among the most infamous for their history of savage butchery going back hundreds, if not thousands of years. Sorry, but I just don't buy climate change as a contributing factor in any of it.
  6. That sounds like an extremely weak attempt to blame anything but inept foreign policy for the troubles in both the Middle East and Africa.
  7. Setrakian messed up The Master pretty badly when he forced him out into the sunlight, so he's preparing to take over a new body. As things stand right now, the two most likely candidates are Eichhorst and Bolivar (I know which it's supposed to be, but the show has already deviated considerably from the story arc of the books).
  8. When trying to stave off the (*^*&%^$^#label, posts like that one aren't going to help you very much.
  9. Yes. I don't see what's so difficult in grasping the concept. Theft is illegal because it's immoral. Murder is illegal because it's immoral. While not all laws are a direct reflection of morality (ie fishing without a license), both the laws we have adopted and the constitutional guarantees we enjoy are based in moral values.
  10. Same with old Popeye cartoons: http://youtu.be/sOmkvEMLIT0
  11. Jusef Sardu was the Romanian noble with Gigantism. The scene where he was confronted in the cave by that ancient Strigoi was where he was confronted by the ancient known as 'The Master'. The Master took Sardu's body over in the cave and has been in it ever since. I don't know how many bodies The Master has lived in, but his presence on Earth goes all the way back to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. I have no idea where the other three Ancients are - I was wondering at first if there were only going to be a total of four of them in the TV series, since they only showed those three, but Vaun revealed in the scene where they brought Setrakian before them that there were seven. The one called The Master is supposedly the strongest of them. I could elaborate, but not without letting loose a few spoilers.
  12. Me too, but I had to let that one go before they even left Comedy Central. Between Maher and the all-to-frequent guest Matthew Perry, I was getting a massively unhealthy dose of smarm. X2
  13. Gatorman hasn't read the classics. You can tell.
  14. It's a shame if you ask me. I used to watch The Daily Show regularly, but not so much anymore.
  15. I believe that he doesn't care one way or another if what he says is true or not. If things turn out okay, then all well & good. If they turn out to be a disaster, then there's always the partisan hacks in the republican to blame for screwing it up. He's the most agenda-driven president in my lifetime, and I believe achieving the European-Socialist model in this country is his goal.
  16. You're forgetting the Rumble in the Air Conditioned Auditorium? https://youtu.be/LOnJXL9dVao
  17. I've thought that too. The lack of imaginative insults and determined self-humiliation is strikingly similar.
  18. Fair enough. I'm personally involved in an immigration case, so I'm very biased on this issue. I'm sure that bias is showing.
  19. I just think that their lack of differentiation between illegal and legal undermines the entire premise of the point they're trying to make.
  20. It's BS because they make no distinction between immigration and illegal immigration. Trump was talking about illegals, not people who went through the proper channels to arrive here. I understand your point, but mine is that the entire premise of the article - like so many others that deal with the issue - is bunk because they fail to make the distinction between legal and illegal, and they do so in order to reenforce a false stereotype of people who oppose illegal immigration.
  21. There are seven Ancients in total. The other six are going after The Master because he's too overt in his methods - they prefer to remain unknown in obscurity, and he's ruining it for them. I'm familiar with the original story arc, and I can tell you that to know the ultimate fate of the ancients is to know their origin as well.
