  1. There's nothing like a total non-believer quoting scripture.
  2. I was working on a project with my boss all day on monday, so I had to wait until tuesday to post.
  3. Yeah, it kind of reminded me of some of the Hellboy imagery. Palmer had better hope that she buys his evil BS, because now she's become a weakness of his for the Master to exploit. I suspect now more than ever that her fate is ultimately to die horribly or to be turned - that would destroy Palmer, and he's been talking a lot of smack to Eichhorst. No telling what will happen to Dutch, but it doesn't look good. Maybe Fet will get there in time to save her, but if he does, my money is on Eichhorst getting away.
  4. Is it optimism to see a pile of manure and think hey, that might help cause a flower to grow?
  5. If? Going to? May I suggest that that's already the case?
  6. I remember that. The Brits aren't famous for playing other countries' national anthems at Buckingham Palace. Seeing this after 14 years is just as moving to me now as it was then.
  7. Same here - it would require an understanding of the mechanisms for striking a match or using a lighter, both of which are obviously too complicated in their operation for him to grasp.
  8. Not only could he not prove it, he knew it was patently false, but like just about everything else his party has put forward in the last 15 years, it was a lie.
  9. Yes, it was. I noticed it right away. The Eichhorst image looked especially creepy.
  10. What a shame. How would this have worked out if the monument in question had instead been dedicated to Martin Luther King?
  11. Wow, Kanye - I was going to tell you that you suck, but you've managed to win some respect with that. Cheers!
  12. I think that's exactly right. The impression I get from people who are pro-socialist is that they seem to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked properly is because 'the right people' haven't tried implementing it yet.
  13. Not to worry - Kerry has appointed a "transparency czar". http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/08/politics/hillary-clinton-email-czar-john-kerry/
  14. I think Eichhorst has always had nothing but contempt for Setrakian (or as he alternately calls him, "jew" or "a23o385"), but has enjoyed alternately putting him to work (building the Master's coffin) and hurting him every chance he has (turning his wife and then later taking her heart). Remember how Eichhorst came to taunt Setrakian at the jail? Or how at the end of season 1 when they overwhelmed Setrakian's basement stronghold, the tone of his voice when he said "I'm coming for you, a23o385", he sounded as if he was really looking forward to savoring the old man's death.
  15. Capitalism. Individual liberty & human rights.
  16. He has indeed had some competition, but nobody brings laughs to a thread like he does.
  17. Honestly, I don't think he could manage drawing a yellow line in the snow.
  18. Per capital costs for treating patience?
  19. I think Obama has shown that he can draw his 'red lines' anywhere, since they don't mean a damn thing anyway.
  20. Mike's Hard Lemonade is tasty, especially in the summer.
  21. I was responding to this: "the Tea Party is less a libertarian movement than a right-wing version of populism."
  22. We need to triple our Co2 output to keep the climate change alarmists in business.
  23. I guess he's never seen any of the ads for Wounded Warriors.
  24. The article in Breitbart you linked refers to illegal immigrants, not 'proper' immigrants. If it makes me a xenophobe to want people who came here illegally to be ousted, then so be it. They can go through the same process that others do in order to come here. I could support simplifying the immigration process for everyone, but one group of people DO NOT deserve special treatment over others, period. The poll from Pew Research shows that 52% of TEA Party supporters who vote 100% of the time support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. That's not the same as being anti-immigration, in fact it shows a willingness on their part to forgive people for breaking the law to get here, and to welcome them into the community. The article from Reason makes a good case - at least concerning O'Malley's position on the issue. I would support a simplification of our immigration laws. Legitimate citizens are more valuable to our country and our culture, and Latinos migrating here deserve better than being relegated to landscaping and cheap labor.
