  1. This is something that I've been wondering about - of the 24 million people who are said to be losing coverage under the proposed Republican plan, how many of those only have coverage now because they were compelled to purchase it against their will?
  2. That shouldn't make anyone nervous.
  3. I doubt Maddow did any damage to her credibility at all with this. MSNBC isn't as much about news & information as they are maintaining a narrative. As long as you display contempt for Trump, all is forgiven.
  4. As far as I know we do this every year - an annual joint military exercise with South Korea. Unless there's a new dimension to it that I haven't heard about, it sounds like any rumors of impending war are nothing more than fanciful reporting and fear mongering.
  5. Here's a longer trailer: and another:
  6. Damn, that was a perfectly good pair of underwear.
  7. At least they got to rest on the seventh day. I am, and you're really, really good at it.
  8. It's also relevant that nearly all those deaths are by firearms in a place with strict gun control laws.
  9. Are you by any chance familiar with the concepts of allegory and metaphor?
  10. I agree. He's certainly offered information worth considering, especially with all the political BS tied to the issue.
  11. Oh, come on. After the grand entry you made I had at least expected something mildly cutting or witty out of you. This is way too soon to disappoint. I was hoping you actually had some troll skills, but you're just another amateur. Sorry, Basky ol'boy - we can't all be as important as you. I don't know if any of the rest of us have even held public office before.
  12. I'm not sure he'll even clear the mild vetting of PPP.
  13. He's a nice guy, he just has these moments.....
  14. All that condescension plus feeble wit as well? That'll get you far.
  15. Classy. That's some intellectualism as compelling as anything I've ever seen. Tiberius will be happy to know that he's not the only jerk posting here. Cheers
  16. This isn't my argument to make or defend. I'm only pointing out one example out of many of mass killings not committed in the name of religion.
  17. I can't speak for TYTT, but the Stalin regime is responsible for anywhere from 34-62 millions deaths over just a couple of decades, and unless I'm mistaken religion was outlawed in Soviet Russia.
  18. Gremlins from the Kremlin...
  19. I would imagine that's because Republicans tend to draw significantly more votes from people of faith. The red state/blue state map is a pretty good illustration of that.
  20. I don't see conservatives as being any more or less religious than they've ever been. Personal experience has shown me that the goodness, morality, or sincerity of a person is not dependent upon their faith or lack thereof.
