  1. I just have to comment on how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Bills' current uniforms! It's tough to look at those dark blue yoke unis... Yeech!
  2. This is so awesomely heartwarming! What a great way for Bills fans to show their appreciation! Just made my donation of $31.27 under the Company Name of "BillsFanThanksYou!_GodBless!"
  3. * I had just move to CT for a job * All of my immediate family was still with us (half of eight are now gone) * Steve Jobs had just returned to Apple Computer, the iMac was in its infancy and running Mac OS 9 * Two beloved dogs and three beloved cats ago * I was driving a 1994 Chevy Blazer * I actually knew some of the current songs on the radio * What was the status of the old HyperBills website? Some time around this time was when it closed and I found the Stadium Wall. (Does anyone remember Greg D’ville?)
  4. The "Just Give it to Them" Game... That game was the beginning of the "screw the Bills, help the Pats" era of officiating, I believe. Not long after that game, there was the "unconscious player" on the sidelines fumble/non-fumble call that bailed out the Pats and cost the Bills yet another significant game. Can anyone shed some light on that?
  5. And that was probably the last time the Pats were ever screwed by a bad call.
  6. It seems that the Bills too often have to play the Patriettes in at least one of the following situations: 1. After the Patriettes have a bye or a "long week" 2. After the Bills have a "short week" 3. At Foxboro late in the season and/or near a holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year), which is always an extra advantage to the home team It could just be my cynicism kicking in, but it seems that Satan's team gets advantages at every turn.
  7. Love the post, GG. Throughout the decades I have disliked many a championship team along the way (Miami, Pittsburgh, Cowboys, etc.), but I have never detected in any of them the undercurrent of evil dealings that pervades the current Patsy organization. There seems to be some Faustian bargain with the Devil going on there that is downright creepy. Eventually, however, all payments come due.
  8. I've been a Bills fan since the early 70s and, while I've always disliked the Dolphins, I absolutely despise the Patriots to a degree that is downright unhealthy. Of course, it wasn't always the case; I actually had a great deal of respect for the Pats back in the old days of Grogan, Hannah, Eason, Berry and McPherson. I started an intense dislike for them when Bledsoe and Parcells came along, and it increased with jackwagon Petey Carroll ("just give it to them") on the sidelines. Still, it wasn't until Brady/Belichick/Kraft and their ever-changing roster of soul-sellers that my hatred of them grew to become something beyond the pale. It's as if the more I despise them, the BETTER they get and the more maddening the ways they defeat the Bills! There also seems to be no end in sight! BTW, the Bills' playoff drought and the Patriots' rise have eerily coincided with my move from Elmira to Connecticut. In two more years I can retire and move back, so maybe that will set things right again!
  9. Addiction is a scourge. My deepest condolences, NG. I believe you will be reunited with Danny someday in a better place.
  10. Yes, Scott - my cameo appearance... Happy 2107! P.S. Nobody seems to understand that, until I am able to return to Elmira, the Bills will not make the playoffs and the Patriettes will continue to dominate the AFC East. It's been thus ever since I moved to CT seventeen years ago... and I have two more years before I can retire and return home. (Feel free to send me lottery tickets in the hope that I can get back sooner!)
  11. Imagine the fantastic assemblage of assistant coaches a nobody like Lynn would attract!
  12. It's obvious that they have sold their souls to the devil, so Brady may be playing into his 60s at this rate, and Hoodie will still be coaching cheating at 90!
  13. If our offensive line could get away with blatant holding on nearly every play like the Patriettes can, Tyrod would be "great" as well!
  14. Speaking of a curse, just for chuckles I'd like to see the Bills take the number 11 out of circulation for a while and see what happens.
  15. If you look at the replay of the hit on Brady, you can see Marcia trying to locate the ref as he was being tackled! It's shameful.
  16. >>You hate Tony Dungy??<< Wasn't it Dungy who had his OL goons go after Sam Cowart and ending his season after he was on the path for a career day during a game against Tampa? Correct me if I'm wrong.
  17. Nope. I just checked and I don't have an inner Patriot.
  18. Maybe he will retire and come back to Buffalo as a Running Backs Coach!
  19. Thanks for your clarification. Is this new for the 2015 season? Also, I have seen that sometimes the clock does not stop at all when a player goes out even though the ref has not yet spotted the ball.
  20. Please pardon me if I missed a rule change, but all season long I have noticed on SEVERAL occasions in MANY games this year that the clock keeps running when a player undoubtedly goes out of bounds. In yesterday's Chiefs game, Smith went out of bounds deliberately on a QB running play to stop the clock, but then they immediately restarted it again. On another play, a receiver made a catch, ran out of bounds untouched - and the clock did not stop. I would greatly appreciate an explanation because it confuses me to no end! Thanks!
  21. There were TWO plays where Taylor and then McCoy went out of bounds (on the Field Goal, I think) and they kept the clock running. WHY????
  22. I had decided not to watch it, but when 9:30 rolled around I just couldn't help myself... and I'm glad I did watch. While it is truly bittersweet, it's such a metaphor for life. As I was watching, I couldn't help thinking about all that has happened - in my life, in the lives of those players and those of my fellow Bills fans, and in the world - since that time. Time passes, we grow older and hopefully a little wiser, and we understand the things that are really important in life. I still believe the Bills will win a Super Bowl, although I'm no longer sure it will happen in my lifetime... but it doesn't matter. What matters are the life lessons: perseverance, loyalty, camaraderie, and fighting the good fight. Honestly, would any of you be happier if you were a Giants or Patriots fan? Would you trade places with Bill Belichick who, for all his success and Super Bowl rings, seems like a very unhappy soul? Where else would YOU rather be than right here, right now?
