  1. Still hate Peter King though*, no matter what he says about the Bills (which isn't much, ever.) *for ever and ever
  2. He also was burned by Roosevelt and dropped an interception right in his hands. Leodis has looked great in offseason practice before. The younger guys have nothing to do with it. Aaron Williams was actually not even up today he's been shut down for a week or two with a knee.
  3. MJD has been durable as well, even though opposing defenses know he's getting the ball on almost every play. He also caught 43 passes from a god-awful QB last year in addition to winning the rushing title. Give him just a decent QB and he'd easily catch 60-70 passes again, like he did in '08.
  4. Seconded. Look at that - an argument supported by facts instead of blind homerism. What a concept.
  5. Never too early to start with the excuse making.
  6. MJD and Forte deserve to be ahead of Freddy. Maybe not by much, but i understand the hosts' initial shock.
  7. The "author" actually did a decent job by BR standards. Overall it still sounded like rah-rah blog post by a bills fan but at least he found some stats and info to back it up.
  8. I respect the OP a lot but starting another apologia for Chris Kelsay based on Gailey's OTA quote is a bit preposterous. Is there any NFL coach out there that would come out and say, "yeah, so and so looks pretty average" in May? No, of course not. It's all good now; everyone is 0-0 and tied for first. There's no point to beat on anyone now. An honest quote would've been, "yeah, Kelsay looks pretty average." Because that's what he's been, his entire career. I've noted no improvement in his play in 8 years. He makes the same undisciplined mistakes he was making as a rookie. He's average at most aspects of his position, and terrible at a few others.
  9. Doesn't really matter that much who the named starting two corners are. They'll be playing with at least 3 on the field most of the time anyway.
  10. Wow a lot of haters in this thread. Nevermind he's the most prolific QB in the league the past several years. And of course the bounty scandal reflects back on him. Jesus you guys are clueless.
  11. If Buff keeps Thigpen, it's possible Smith could get cut. He'd have to beat out new guys like Aiken, Easley, Hagan and Graham to make the team strictly as a WR. His value as a KR has been greatly diminished with the new rules. I doubt Thigpen makes the team though. VY seems to take his place, not Smith's. Smith stays on as 3rd QB/WR/special teams.
  12. We need more odd, cryptic, substance-influenced posts like this here. It's a fun mini-game trying to figure out what exactly they mean.
  13. If football is a MANLY sport. And Brady isn't a real man (because of his hair and clothes). And yet Brady's one of the best to ever play this MANLY game. Well, what does that say about your theory? Seriously, who are the ones critiquing another man's fashion? You "guys." but Brady is the dandy?
  14. Come on eball, you can't post a comment like that. You know how touchy the large religious majority gets when someone, anyone disagrees with them. Me personally, i'd rather have the guys in the early '90s - you know the ones who went out drinking and cheating on their wives, and went to 4 superbowls?
  15. Eh, he's an OK receiver. He's always been worth more as a return guy.
  16. At least the BR wannabe got an actual authoritative quote to base his article on. Perhaps they're tightening up their 'standards' over there finally?
  17. But, but she's a journalist now. So yes I would.
  18. This thread rises from the grave to terrorize us more than dracula.
  19. And what else can you say about the guy besides that. He did it the hard way and deserves to be rewarded. Even more than the those first round backs like Lynch (even tho I am a fan of Lynch and love how he jump-started his career in Seattle.)
  20. Because he reportedly shot himself in the chest, not head.
  21. Kelsay's "solid" season last year. 5.0 sacks. 3 came against Tebow and the Broncos. Great game, but the entire defense shut Tebow down that game in a blowout. The other 2 sacks in 11 games? Miami (1) and Washington (1). So he also got to John Beck and Matt Moore once. Wow. Sad thing is, CK probably could've nearly doubled his sack total last year if he had ANY pursuit or tackling discipline after 9 years in the league. He still doesn't. He still gets wide eyed when he gets back there, and whiffs on way, way too many plays. Tackles and run support? Hard to say that with the Bills historically bad run defense. 10 tackles in the aforementioned Denver game. Great. The other 11 games? He averaged less than 3 tackles (solo+assited) per. Is CK a great guy? Sure, maybe. Doesn't change the fact he disappears for stretches on the field and has been a major cog in some awful defenses during his time here. You can make the excuse he was surrounded by "bartenders" and it's not his fault. I contend he is one of those bartenders and should've been out long ago. Kelsay's extension is still mystifying to me, but obviously it was a vote of confidence by Nix and Gailey. But pair it with Nix's other moves the last few years ( drafting carrington, signing merriman, williams and anderson) and I think that confidence is wearing thin.
  22. Funny how marginal talent, "high motor" hayseeds like Kelsay get so much love around here from some. Let him clutch that #90 on the sidelines all year while he watches a real player do his job.
  23. Thanks, i won't forget his f'n 40 yard dash times. I hope you don't forget he's yet to play a down of pro football.
