  1. Whatever. Spikes is one of the dirtier guys in the league, sure. Doesn't do any good complaining about it days later. He'll probably get fined for the Fitz hit. What else do you want? It's still football, even if it's getting watered down more and more every year.
  2. Considering the Bills tried for the better part of last decade to build a competent line, this is a bit of a bright spot this season. Of course if Levitre departs the unit will take a big step backwards.
  3. Clueless to suggest some consequences for negative plays? OK. I think you're just blindly loyal to your favorite player and get off making excuses for him. Spiller is the RB opposing teams have to game plan for, not Jackson. FJ's yards per carry is down to 4.0. Lowest of his career and a wholly pedestrian number. He has already lost more fumbles (3) through 9 games than in any previous season. These are facts, you can look them up yourself if you could manage it.
  4. Good post OP but w've been over this. I dont think anyone would disagree with u and a 70/30 split is the minimum spiller should get. Fred ran great today but fumbled twice again. He should be benched for the next game on that fact alone.
  5. I didnt see him look him off at all but i trust you. And no, if he connected on a secondary or tertiary read i still dont think it would be a good play call. That's the point. I don't think that play at that time was a good call period. Doesn't matter that the secondary receivers were able to get open.
  6. It's not illogical if TJ was the primary target on that play call, which i assume he was since Fitz was locked on him the entire play. That's a bad play call period in that situation. I know Gailey's trying to fool the defense and go to an underused guy or whatever but in that situation they still have to go the proven guys like SJ or CJ, who were both open. Like i said it's different if there is only five seconds left or whatever but with time left the secondary routes are open you throw it to them
  7. Well considering the other talent on the team, Fred still is one of our "better" players unfortunately. But Spiller is light years ahead of Fred you're right. Someone's got to tell the coaches that though, because they're still play calling like FJ and CJ are comparable players. They are not.
  8. Yes there were holding calls on Mario that were completely missed by the refs. Like i said they were poor overall today.
  9. Well yeah man. It's a different story if there is 5 seconds left and you have to go to the end zone. But there was time to spare and Fitz completely looked off two open guys underneath. I know TJ ran the wrong depth but the vet throwing the ball has to see the coverage, even if he only has a split second before releasing the ball to recognize it. It was a bad play call and Gailey and TJ deserve blame as well, but I can't let Fitz completely off the hook; he's done this before.
  10. Might be. But the onus is on the veteran QB, not the the rookie 3rd round WR, to make a better read.
  11. The call was mind boggling i know. But even in an empty set w/ spiller out wide they could run a bubble screen or something. I dont really mind the formation. Spiller was open on that last play as was SJ. But Fitz was vapor locked on TJ and misfired (wrong route depth be damned).
  12. Haha it only took till week 10 for Bill to give CJ his props. Better late than never.
  13. Great post D but Fitz isn't the answer. I don't like hating on the guy either but he's way too inconsistent to depend on. TJ may have been the one who messed up on the INT but he still had Johnson and Spiller open on his other reads. The D is bad. There are salvageable parts - Byrd, K. williams, Dareus (maybe). But they need to focus on QB as well.
  14. Maybe. I don't see him as that type of guy and the championship seeker guys are usually much older players than Jairus. If the Bills offer him the money commensurate with his worth i think they have a better than good chance of locking him up.
  15. My point brother is it's very unlikely we lose all 3 of those guys to free agency. One or two? Sure, possibly. But given the fact that Byrd is probably the best player on the defense it's highly unlikely they let him walk. Losing all 3 is about as possible as the CJ to Jacksonville trolling.
  16. Yes. CJ will be traded to Jacksonville according to this board and we will lose all 3 of those guys as well. DOOOOOMED
  17. Totally right OP. But the play isn't surprising is it? Fitz is not good. He threw better today but when it counts...well...
  18. Probably not. Just cuz Fouts said he ran a wrong route doesn't make it so.
  19. He came close to brady once. And he stuffed one running play! Totally worth it
  20. The holding calls were legit. But the refs were poor overall i agree.
