  1. Actually he's had two lost seasons, not one. And if you want to deny his drop troubles, that's fine, doesn't make it not true. He's had one outstanding season - back in 2007 with cleveland. Maybe he can regain that form, but I doubt it.
  2. Wallace seems a little one dimensional. He's a deep threat, that's all. A 9 route guy. A very good one mind you, but that's all I've really seen him do. Maybe that's because that is all they ask him to do in Pitt, i don't know. But Buff can find a deep route guy in the draft, in almost any round. No need to spend our 1st round pick on a guy like Wallace. I pretty sure having a QB like Ben throwing him the ball contributes more than a little to his success as well.
  3. Braylon Edwards? If youre one of the guys who thinks Stevie has poor hands, check Braylon. I wouldn't even give him a passing look. Didn't he quit football to become a fashion model anyways?
  4. I'd rather just come here and read your mock draft, rather than some BS from BR. Most posters here are more reasonable, more knowledgeable than the sewage coming out of that site. Sorry to be so harsh, but from what i see some still don't realize BR is just a glorified board for fanboys from every corner of this country. At least at TBD the presentation leaves no confusion. This is a message board for fans of the Bills and there's no confusing that fact. It looks and sounds like a fan message board, nothing more, nothing less. What makes it good is the posters here are generally smarter and know more about football than the average fan on other sites. BR is playing you. They copied the style and layout of sites with actual paid staff reporters and bloggers - places like yahoo! sports and espn.com and SB nation etc... The site looks like them and some think it's legitimate. It's not. It's filled with "articles" from fans who clearly know next to nothing about football. Sure they call themselves "fans" and i bet they get a kick out of seeing their drivel posted on the professional looking BR, but most of the regular posters here know more about the NFL than those guys would ever pick up in a lifetime. So please, for your sake and mine, stop linking garbage from bleacher report. Make your own mock draft and just start a thread and post it here. We'd enjoy it more.
  5. Oh I didn't know you had a direct line to Manning's camp and know exactly what he's doing and why he's doing it. Why don't you spare us the suspense and just tell us where Peyton's going to sign? Peyton Manning is using John Elway because Elway is stupid because Elway doesn't like Tim Tebow. You heard it here first.
  6. Right buddy, Elway's an a** because he wants a quarterback who can actually, I don't know, throw the ball accurately once in while. A QB that can throw it with a pro delivery, not one resembling a swinging barn door. Or maybe you just think he's a douche because you're just one of the many Tebow ball washers with an irrational need to defend this fake kid no matter what despite all his obvious faults. I know, it's everyone's fault but poor Timmy's. Elway's incompetent for preferring Peyton Manning to Tim Tebow, right? Completely crazy idea.
  7. And Fitz was hurt in toronto against Washington. And new turf was just installed.
  8. The "author" changed the article after a commenter pointed out stevie's signing (without alerting readers to the edit/correction, of course). Too lazy or too stupid to change the picture however. He replied that he meant to "put" manningham in his article, not stevie. Obviously it's hard to tell the two apart - i mean they both wear blue jerseys. Nevermind the fact that the giants and skins are in the same division and a guy writing about the skins shouldn't be confusing a rival player with a guy in the other conference. Again, don't read BR. Complete waste of your time. Linking s**t from there here is just aiding idiocy.
  9. Stop reading bleacher report. Your brain will thank you.
  10. BB - 2 linebackers in the first 3 rounds? Does the Morrison signing change your mind at all?
  11. He doesn't have a choice with the team going to base 4-3. If he's healthy enough to see a lot of action, he's going to have to play 43 DE. I don't think they pay him and keep him around just to play in the hybrid 34 packages at OLB. Then again, they kept Kelsay around for their base 3-4 experiment, and he was horrific at OLB AND got a raise.
  12. Not a fan of your thread title pnw but you made great points in your post. Agree with all of it.
  13. I wish the team wasn't so needy at so many positions, because then i'd say yes, take a shot and put a package together to trade up. But with the bad defense and Fitz's new contract, it doesn't make any sense this year to even try. The front office is 100% committed to Fitz, at least for one more year. So I say they should stay put or trade down, load up on defense + a OT/WR in the draft and hope the young guys from the past 2 drafts show something next season. If that happens, and we get good production out of our top picks this year, the Bills will be in decent shape. If not, well, more of the same i guess.
  14. It's a running joke here at this point. Do i wish we'd all retire it? Yeah, but check back here in 5 years and posters will still be making the same joke over and over again, still thinking they're funny (but they're not).
  15. Economical use of exclamation points. We commend you.
  16. What i said was an opinion a**hole. Never passed it off as fact. Not sure what got your panties in a bunch but you should get over it.
  17. Reminds me of the von miller detractors last year: "yeah, he knows how to play football, loves playing football, but he's too risky because he's smallish for his position. He'll get swallowed up in the NFL." Yeah, how'd that work out? Count me as an Ingram fan.
  18. LT has been a need since Peters left. As much as I admire Bell's improvement, he's never going to be a "great" tackle. If he goes via free agency, Buff will be forced to take a tackle early on draft weekend.
  19. I'm completely sick of that guy.
  20. You're reading too much into that, yes. As for those WR you mentioned, Manningham is not top tier. VJ would probably cost more than he's worth. I think Buff will still consider Colston and Garcon, not sure about Bowe.
  21. Any penalty imposed on Buff will be very minor. I doubt they see one at all.
  22. I see that point, and I think once the investigation proceeds further, an answer to your question will come to light. But what we know now is that players were aware they'd be compensated for "big" hits and hits that resulted in injury. I think the quotes from Coy Wire alone establish that. And I don't think it's a big stretch to assume that compensation would create an incentive in some players' minds to throw a cheap shot or two if the opportunity arose. Not all players, mind you - I'd still like to think there's guys in the league that would refuse to injure a fellow player regardless of the award. But enough would be motivated to do so, otherwise the NFL would have no motivation to enact a rule against it. Since Williams is already an admitted violator of that rule, the only remaining issue I'm interested in is the level of punishment for him and the teams he coached.
