Brady Quinn at 2nd string QB
Zulu Cthulhu replied to FrankReichComeback's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know man, Quinn is bad. He was given a chance in Cleveland (I know, another bad team) and stunk up the place. His sample size is still pretty small with only 12 starts, but there's nothing in his pro resume to suggest he's anything more than another over-hyped Notre Dame product. At this point, Quinn=Thigpen. It's a wash. I'm all for upgrading the backup QB spot, but Quinn ain't it. -
My 1st round pick is
Zulu Cthulhu replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely. The QB situations of the teams that draft ahead of the Bills will factor into whether Ingram falls to them as well. I'm also curious as to where Richardson will go. I know he's a top 10 talent, but I'm not sure how many teams are still comfortable taking a RB that high anymore. I could easily see a RB needy team (Tampa?) still pass on him for a defensive player. They'd probably take a CB or DT if they go that route however. -

I get the same feeling. Let's hope Gene Smith and Mularkey are more concerned with improving Gabbert and draft a WR for him instead. -
J. Finley 15mil over 2yrs...

It shouldn't surprise you. Trooth is probably the biggest irrational SJ hater on this board. -
Don Banks' Mock Draft - Updated
Zulu Cthulhu replied to LABills08's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trading up for RGIII is a pipe dream. Cleveland has more picks to offer and would be a much more attractive partner for St. Louis. They would only have to slide down 2 spots and could still draft Blackmon from that position. -
Brady Quinn at 2nd string QB
Zulu Cthulhu replied to FrankReichComeback's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good lord. If you think Fitz has accuracy issues, throw Quinn in there for a series or three. You'll vomit on your shoes. He's almost as horrible as Tebow throwing the ball. -
read a snippet about the Giants Osi today
Zulu Cthulhu replied to 3rdand12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or you could trade draft picks for Osi... -
Merriman, Shawne please explain the CAP to me please
Zulu Cthulhu replied to 95altima12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cut him to clear cap? Why? Would be prudent to keep him on and see if that preventative surgery he had last year did any good. If he still can't stay healthy and contribute, he'll be gone soon enough. -
Coples just looks like Peppers physically. There's little indication yet he can actually play like him.

TEBOW!!! is a Jet! (finally)
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Boy you are full of asinine ideas recently. Keep it up. Of course Tebow will be a "complete QB" even though there's no evidence to support that suggestion. He's been trying to learn pro throwing mechanics for 2 years and hasnt made any progress. But he's white! Right BB, so it should all work out for him. I really hope for your sake you're only 15 years old. -
Devom Wylie > Wes Welker
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tasker, Welker, & Sanders rolled into one, huh? Exaggerate much? And yet in your brilliantly constructed "All White Draft" post (super idea, BTW) you have this kid in your 7th round. Seems a guy with the combined skills of the best special teams player of all time, best RB of all time, and most productive WR of the last 5 years would be picked a little higher than the 7th round. -
This offseason, the front office has no excuses!
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Santana's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd look for the Bills to sign 2 or 3 mid-level free agents. Same as they always do. Stanford Routt seems like a strong possibility. Maybe Laurent Robinson as well. -
Tomlin and Roethlisberger not happy
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No superbowls. Look, I know Ben was upset with Arians leaving. But Haley was literally JUST hired. There's been little to no interaction between him and his QB yet. Can we wait a bit and see if Ben really does go Cutler-mode and sulk his way out of Pitt? Big Ben's no brain surgeon, but even he knows Pitt is one of the most attractive places to play in the league. And i can't fathom Tomlin and the Rooneys siding with Haley over their 2 time Champion QB if by chance the two don't get along. That's it, I'll leave you to your fantasies now. -
Tomlin and Roethlisberger not happy
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After missing an entire season with a serious neck injury at 36 years old with $28 million due to him? Many people thought he may get sent packing. Has nothing in common with Big Ben. Bad comparison. -
Yes, "pound the rock." Because that is how it's done in the NFL nowadays. That's how the Saints, Pack, and Giants won the last three championships. What decade are you living in?

Tomlin and Roethlisberger not happy
Zulu Cthulhu replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Riiiight. Pitt would shop Big Ben because he wouldn't get along with the new OC. -
Protection was not an issue throughout the year. Spiller ran well behind the line as well, Fred did not mask any perceived weaknesses in the line. Actually, spiller ran well behind a diminished line with Wood out. Come on man, you're reaching. No one agrees with you. Just accept it.

The John Elway vs. Tim Tebow Story
Zulu Cthulhu replied to FrankReichComeback's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not often, but considering how abysmal Tebow was in the preseason he definitely deserved to be there. Of course, Quinn has never set anyone's pants on fire with his play - he wasn't an upper echelon backup like Flynn. I'm wary of anything Bayless says about Tebow considering his monstrous man crush for Tim. -
Taking a guard at ten instead of a DE or OLB (or even WR) would make the fanbases' collective heads explode. He does seem like a great player though.

The John Elway vs. Tim Tebow Story
Zulu Cthulhu replied to FrankReichComeback's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for paraphrasing the story. That has been a popular theory since Tebow's promotion and Orton's release. Quick question: When you say "according to them" do you mean the ESPN analysts/reporters who commented in the story? Was there a source behind it or was it just ESPN's conjecture? -
Not to mention the 2 World Series titles, NBA championship, and Stanley Cup all in the last 10 years. Boston "fans" are the worst, absolute worst on Earth.

Luck To Indy Equals Failure?
Zulu Cthulhu replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So the OP thinks Luck has to equal or surpass Payton's rookie stats or the Indy fans will drum him out of town? Wow, outstanding, well reasoned point. Nevermind Manning only won three games his rookie year. What if Luck only throws for 2700 yards and 18 TDs, but the Colts win 9 games? Can we then conclude his career will be three times as awesome as Manning's? This is...I don't even know. -
Chris Brown SPECULATES Bills in play for V Jackson
Zulu Cthulhu replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Laurent Robinson and Cliff Avril seem like much more realistic targets for the Bills. I'd be happy with either (or both). -
Are the Bills in 2012 a 3-4 or a 4-3 defense
Zulu Cthulhu replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Which is a long way off, post-draft, post-free agency. Can't we all just wait til then, instead of whining about it now?
