I jumped on the bandwagon in 2008 and voted for Obama cuz he was going to make significant changes to our health care system and bring down costs for everyone. Instead what we got was a system where if you are poor and can get a subsidy it works for you. Meanwhile the rest of us our prices have continued to rise year over year. Not sure I trust them to give it another go.

Ray Epps et al. and the FEDSURRECTION
reddogblitz replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This one of the fishier aspects IMHO. He was telling people on the 5th " we must go into the capital.". He went down to Trump's rally BEFORE IT STARTED, to tell people to go to the capital when its over. He was at the gate for the breach and whispered something into a guys ear who proceeded to bum crush the cops and break through (while President Trump was still speaking). Yet he was very careful not to go into the capital himself after coaxing people in. Makes no sense a guy hell bent on going "into the capital" would get to the front door but not go in. Its almost like HE KNEW what not to do to not get busted. -

Has anyone been arrested or convicted for the murder of Seth Rich? -
I liked this part of your article: Then people like @Tiberius, @ChiGoose, @BillStime, President Biden, Speaker Pelosi, Vice President Harris, Mitch McConnell, and various and assundry Twitter influencers can give as much money as they want and they and their children can go to Ukraine to help (they can do this right now). I mean its really really really important to defeat Russia right? Put some skin in the game.

When is a concession a concession? https://teachingamericanhistory.org/blog/the-timing-of-al-gores-concession-in-2000/ I still maintain a concession doesn't mean sqwat. If a candidate concedes and then turns out to be the winner, he/she is still the winner. They don't stop counting when someone concedes. Nor should they.

Republicans won the mid terms, why do we still have a democracy?

I'm certain you won't change my mind either. You make some good points. Thanks for your war time service. You have my respect. I do think you sort of missed my point on Viet Nam, Korea, Iraq, and Afghanistan. My point was in the beginning they were all pitched as a quick, easy, cheap way to win to turn back and ruin the commies or later terrorists. None of them turned out that way and I don't think this will either. As the saying goes, those that don't study history are doomed to repeat it. And as you say, there are a lot of variables. We don't have "boots on the ground", but we're paying Erik Prince's army to do the dirty work cuz sending "boots on the ground" would be politically unpopular. I also don't believe it will be quick. President Zelensky didn't sound like he thought it would be and he's their President and Commander in Chief. Doesn't matter what I think really cuz President Biden and Congress are all over it like a cat on a June bug. I hope you're right.

It does seem like a bargain. Like when the guy in the over coat under the street lights tries to sell you a ROLEX for $200. Wars never go as easy as we are led to believe. These saving the world for democracy expeditions have not gone well for us. We could help S Viet Nam if we just sent in some advisors. Iraq would be cheap and easy. We would be greeted as liberators. They would pay us back with oil money. Afganistan, our longest war. And what makes you so sure China will just sit around and think? Them and Russia have been pretty chummy lately and have a common enemy in us. What if they start supplying Russia? Maybe even send over 100,000 troops. Hopefully it doesn't come to that but to beat Russia as President Zelensky described in front of Congress will not be cheap or easy.

Maybe not supporting Ukraine or at least not to the level we are? With all the winning I keep hearing about and Russia imploding, why do they need our help so much? And they're gonna need more more more according to President Zelensky I agree more with President Obama. We can't be the world's police person. Especially when we can't even fix our own country. They aren't part of NATO and correct me if I'm wrong we have no treaty with them to help if they get in a war. As to the bolded, the domino theory all over again. Didn't happen when the commies won Viet Nam or Korea although the government and Military Industrial Complex told us it would. Democrats today sound like Republicans in 1967.

True, but the allies didn't win the war on V-E Day, it was the nukes that ended it. I don't think the solution you propose and congress and President Biden are pursuing will work. It will only prolong the agony and make the Military Industry Complex richer AGAIN. I am very skeptical about reports of all this winning by Ukraine going on anyway. The first casualty of war is the truth. The Ghost of Kyiv comes to mind. What makes you think you're hearing the truth now? I also am not really buying this whole "no boots on the ground" nonsense. This is what presidents do in the 21st century. Sending in actual troops would be unpopular politically so they send in "contractors" from Black Water and such groups. They don't count. I'm suspect there are contractor advisors over there right now. Don't be so sure this won't escalate into us sending troops and airplanes in there. We are playing with fire. Democrats today sound like Republicans in 1967.

Your own article lays out the real reason for US involvement. The Military Industrial Complex is gonna make out like a bandit. Again. And very rarely does one side "win" a war. WWII the allies won cuz we had nukes and no one else did. It was an anomaly. Usually a war ends when someone says enough is enough and both sides agree like WW I. Or one side says bag it and evacuated the last people with a helicopter off the top of a building like Viet Nam, Korea, and Afganistan. or like the Russians in Afganistan. And that's after decades of bloody fighting. But the Military Industrial Complex ALWAYS wins. What's good for GM is good for America.

Diggs throwing his helmet and asking for the ball more

Diggs is right. Get him the ball more. That's what we're paying him for. -

Any idea on how he's going to enforce this? Does it apply to his own (Navy) ships? Those big ass ships they drive could kill a lot of whales. Does this mean I'll kill a whale at 10 knots if I hit it in my 35 foot boat but not with my 34 footer?
