  1. I don't gamble on anything. I work too hard for my money to blow it on something I can't control. I'm also with @Nextmanup. I hate being inundated with gambling talk on sports shows and pre game shows.
  2. What a dud. Why I don't watch that much college football. Too many blow outs. Boooooring.
  3. In the McDermott era the Bills are 3-0 in the playoffs in the blue over white.
  4. Interesting. I thought IRS tax enforcement funding was not about getting more money from audits and enforcement. It was just for computer upgrades and replacing retired people.
  5. In other words, you want the government to do it so you don't have to get your hands dirty.
  6. What does "forceful foreign policy" mean? How can we expect to fix other people's countries when we can't even fix our own?
  7. Similar sequence earlier in the Viking game too with about 10 to play up by 10. 2nd and 2 inside the 20 we threw 3 passes to the EZ, the third being a pick and run back to the 40. Our biggest blunder in that game IMHO. Everytime Cook gets the football he's got a chance to break a big one.
  8. Win the next 4 games.
  9. People over politics. OK. Sure. He's campaigning. This will work great when he runs for President in 2024.
  10. Don't tell my wife. She's been a Bills season ticket holder for 35+ years.
  11. And then they could build a new one every 15 years and have cities bid for it and pay for it. I hate this nuetral field for conference championship games idea. Not sure ownership would be up for it. A conference championship is a big payday with outrageous ticket prices.
  12. There is a way to do national sales tax without being unfair to poor. https://fairtax.org/about/how-fairtax-works Everyone gets a check to cover taxes up to the poverty line. No taxes under the poverty or some other determined line.
  13. I jumped on the bandwagon in 2008 and voted for Obama cuz he was going to make significant changes to our health care system and bring down costs for everyone. Instead what we got was a system where if you are poor and can get a subsidy it works for you. Meanwhile the rest of us our prices have continued to rise year over year. Not sure I trust them to give it another go.
  14. Interesting I suppose but this is not January 6, 2021 obviously. I count at least 4 guns on the comic book cover.
  15. This one of the fishier aspects IMHO. He was telling people on the 5th " we must go into the capital.". He went down to Trump's rally BEFORE IT STARTED, to tell people to go to the capital when its over. He was at the gate for the breach and whispered something into a guys ear who proceeded to bum crush the cops and break through (while President Trump was still speaking). Yet he was very careful not to go into the capital himself after coaxing people in. Makes no sense a guy hell bent on going "into the capital" would get to the front door but not go in. Its almost like HE KNEW what not to do to not get busted.
  16. Has anyone been arrested or convicted for the murder of Seth Rich?
  17. I liked this part of your article: Then people like @Tiberius, @ChiGoose, @BillStime, President Biden, Speaker Pelosi, Vice President Harris, Mitch McConnell, and various and assundry Twitter influencers can give as much money as they want and they and their children can go to Ukraine to help (they can do this right now). I mean its really really really important to defeat Russia right? Put some skin in the game.
  18. I served with several in the Marines whose choice was either go to jail or join the military. So they joined the military. Smart choice I would say. And Wagner is Russia's Blackwater, er Academi.
  19. When is a concession a concession? https://teachingamericanhistory.org/blog/the-timing-of-al-gores-concession-in-2000/ I still maintain a concession doesn't mean sqwat. If a candidate concedes and then turns out to be the winner, he/she is still the winner. They don't stop counting when someone concedes. Nor should they.
  20. No its not. Its over when all the votes are counted. Gore conceded but there were recounts etc and it wasn't decided for a month or so. Conceding really means nothing.
  21. Republicans won the mid terms, why do we still have a democracy?
  22. I'm certain you won't change my mind either. You make some good points. Thanks for your war time service. You have my respect. I do think you sort of missed my point on Viet Nam, Korea, Iraq, and Afghanistan. My point was in the beginning they were all pitched as a quick, easy, cheap way to win to turn back and ruin the commies or later terrorists. None of them turned out that way and I don't think this will either. As the saying goes, those that don't study history are doomed to repeat it. And as you say, there are a lot of variables. We don't have "boots on the ground", but we're paying Erik Prince's army to do the dirty work cuz sending "boots on the ground" would be politically unpopular. I also don't believe it will be quick. President Zelensky didn't sound like he thought it would be and he's their President and Commander in Chief. Doesn't matter what I think really cuz President Biden and Congress are all over it like a cat on a June bug. I hope you're right.
