  1. Can he come to us and cash paychecks with a mask on so we can win the division next year at 11-5?
  2. I think in order to fix this problem I would look at the FA list of the defending SB champs this year, and sign the best, most productive one. Someone the guys can look up to because he's done it. The only one we have now is Tyrod and evidently he's not a leader. Spikes could have been that guy, but we cut him too. Aaron Williams wants to be leader. That's cool. But the leader is the leader because he leads and people follow him. If they ain't following him now, good luck.
  3. Wouldn't smart coach though see this is going on and try to do something about it? Maybe he did, but if so, he failed miserably. He could have the team elect a captain for example. That might help. Something like that. Rex is not the victim here. He's the coach/leader. Cutting Fred of course didn't help.
  4. This is the best idea yet. Suck for Lucks would have had like the 15th pick or something. Going from best to worst in one year does not happen by fluke. Surely they could have picked up a better QB than Curtis Painter. He's the best Bill Polian or whoever could find? I like this idea too.
  5. I do this as well. But I take it even one step further, if that team loses, I pick another that's still alive. I'm starting with Arizona this year. One reason why a guy might change from one team to another in the same league is if Jerry Jones buys your team.
  6. Oh, so he's not putting up top 10 numbers? I keep reading he is. According to your line he's number 23. I think earlier in the year he was. But now he is no longer. I'm in the minority I guess. I expected him to do well in the off season, and he has. But you don't "gotta get it done or you will likely lose" if you're not behind.
  7. You can't have a comeback if you're never behind.
  8. I had an idea while watching the MNF game last night. Chucky said Saints have hired a new czar and he's going to determine if they want to dump Peyton and Brees etc and rebuild or not. He said they are have even taken offers/calls from teams. Let's trade our entire draft this year and 1st and 3rd next year for Sean Peyton and Drew Brees. They get their rebuild and we get DREW BREES! Drew and Sean could make a killer O with Drew, Sammy, McCoy, Woods, Clay. Our D might still suck, but who cares? We could outscore everyone.
  9. Except last year when we won, but it doesn't count.
  10. He would be just as bad or worse. I remember watching Lions games and they lost a lot of games due to undisciplined players and stupid penalties. Sound familiar? Schwartz would be cool to bring back as DC, but HC, not no, but hell no.
  11. I like Tyrod and believe he has played well. However, he couldn't carry Russell's lunch box. The Tyrod Wilson comparisons are really irritating.
  12. Losing is for losers. I think not.
  13. I was a Spurs fan before they were the Spurs. Dallas Chapparals, but we never won nuttin'.
  14. I hope we kill the Cowboys and beat the Jets knocking them out of the playoffs.
  15. Down by contact. TYrod DID fumble yesterday. Any one catch that ?
  16. I do agree with you to a degree. But, a couple of things. Very rare is the rookie QB that comes in and plays all 16 games. Most don't. So to say a guy is a rookie until he gets 16 starts is stretching it a little. And, Tyrod has already had 4 off season programs, 4 training camps, 16 more pre season games, and even thrown 2 more interceptions than a true rookie coming into his first season. True it's not playing, but it's still a huge head start. I think we should expect at least modestly better than rookie play. I think he has given us that. I wanted us to sign Tyrod even before FA started BECAUSE he already had this head start on someone else's dime. He is what he is, a 5 year veteran.
  17. The offense had the football twice resulting in ZERO points before Washington went up 21-0 and got it again right after. Would have been nice if they could have scored a few points when they had the chance. In fact, they didn't even score any points in the whole first half. It's hard to win consistently in the NFL when your offense doesn't score any points in the first half. As was Flutie.
  18. Why can't Rex do the same if it's so easy? He's got the same line. Actually, only 3 of them were in the Pro Bowl last year. How many will be this year? I would say it's sustainable for the next 3 or 4 years at least. And, we can always bring new defensive lineman in if needed.
  19. Let me know when they are a playoff contender even for one year.
  20. How exactly is Tyrod putting up "top 10 numbers". In total yards, he's currently 25th, 4 slots below Sam Bradford. In TDs he's 16th, right below Fannyhill. Even in the hang your hat on QB Rating he has fallen to #11.
  21. We were never behind in the Houston game.
  22. In EJ's 2 games this year his completion % was 66.7 and 57.1. Both better than only one of Tyrod's last 5 starts.
  23. Whatever. If EJ had started all year and we had the same won loss record and EJ has stumbled where Tyrod has, I wouldn't say he is the franchise QB in the making any more than I think Tyrod is at this point. There's a lot more to football than stats. I don't care who the starter is as long as their good. Please don't paint me as a EJ jock sniffer. I didn't even say EJ should start. I just said I haven't given up on him. I like Tyrod and he has done well. We just need to keep looking and keep an open mind, that's all. Saying Tyrod is the guy and going all in on him feels a lot like saying Fitz is the guy when we did and going all in on him.
  24. Yeah, then the NFL could rig the lottery like the NBA does.
  25. He's not a rookie.
