  1. He did say it a bunch of times on the stump however. Almost as many times as Barack said "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor."
  2. I'm not so sure Pete could beat Donald. Pete polls at 0% with black voters. (yet somehow he had six black women behind him when he made his victory speech in Iowa of all places.). Death for a Democrat. Add onto that Trump dishing the dirt on him for months on end. When you listen to him it's all platitudes and political cliches. Of course the same could be said of a lot of them. I'd vote for him over Trump but he's well down my list.
  3. after last night, he Probably should have gone after Mayor Pete's son.
  4. Whether it's a good thing or not remains to be seen. I happen to think in a lot of ways it probably isn't. What are people gonna do? They have to do something. And it's not just low level jobs that will be replaced. Computers can already find cancer in x-rays better than trained skilled experienced radiologists. Computers can gather information and trends etc in huge amounts of data better and faster than 100 lawyers could do previously. So highly skilled people will be pushed out. Some hospitals have been able to replace 100 pharmacists with a machine that can do it better/faster. Sure many computer jobs will be created, but I doubt it will be anywhere near as many as get displaced. This is different from the industrial revolution. Yeah the horse went away and buggy whip makers, but they were replaced by factories employing many people building cars etc. I don't see that happening with this. Quite the opposite I suspect. Not everyone can "learn to code". I got an interesting novel for Christmas about this. Player Piano by Kurt Vonnegut. I would recommend to anyone.
  5. I've been saying this all along. If Donald really did do that whole call etc to dig up dirt on Biden he is even dumber than I thought. You don't need to dig up dirt on Biden. He arrives at campaign stops with 2 dump trucks full of dirt. AND, he provides new dirt on a monthly basis if not more often.
  6. We had them in my state until they decided to go with a primary this time. It was kindof fun I guess if you're a political junkie. About 1 hour in I started to think, what about the people with small children that can't afford a baby sitter? Or the people who's kids had a soccer game that morning? Or the people that can't sit/stand for 2 hours? Or the people that have to work on Saturday ... Meanwhile, my wife and I who have no kids left at home and don't work Saturday were able to be there. Doesn't seem fair or inclusive. At least in my state, I think that was the point.
  7. yes but with everyone losing their jobs to automation, everyone is going to be out of work. Not just white racists.
  8. Smart. I was very skeptical of the whole thing in 2016. We had a caucus in my state. They have since changed it to a primary this year. Anyway, I was caucusing for Bernie. I volunteered to be precinct captain so I could watch the votes being counted to make sure no Hillary monkey business was going on.
  9. I view Coach McDermott as a great leader of men. He makes the team function at a much higher level than the sum of it's parts. This is HUGE. I do question his player evaluation skills. Thinking Nasty Nate was an NFL caliber STARTER 2 years in a row. Thinking a 36 year old RB can last the whole season and be productive with only one other active RB. And he gets FULL blame for the ineptness of the offense. He IS the head Coach after all. The buck stops with him and he says the same. Oh, and he IS a conservative coach and likely always will be. Learn to love it.
  10. They forgot to mention Flynn. He had the goods and was going to roll over on Trump too.
  11. Doesn't The Energizer come over any more?
  12. If left to his own devices he probably would. He was one of the movers and shakers of WWW (Iraq War). He didn't learn his lesson. He's still a big war hawk. He still thinks war in the middle east is a good thing. The dude should never get withing 250 miles of Washington ever again. And now he's the Ds hero even though they have no idea what he would actually say LOL. I suspect that even if he does testify he will be as big a dud for the Ds as Flynn, Comey, Cohen, and Mueller. We'll see ...
  13. CNN now reporting that Nixon was impeached. https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2020/01/30/john-dean-dershowitz-unimpeached-richard-nixon-sot-vpx.cnn/video/playlists/trump-ukraine/
  14. Bills do pretty much the same now with the Lead the Charge. I was going to mention that as a stadium tradition.
  15. It also wasn't the only time in the Texans game.
  16. Actually this sounds exactly like someone Beane would draft. He likes physical freaks that haven't necessarily gotten it together on the field. The Process will coach them up. I'm thinking of Josh Allen and 19 year old Tremaine Edmunds.
  17. I watched it but it was pretty lame. I'd say not flag football, but two hand touch instead. Pretty much what it was. Gheez nobody tackles anybody. It's silly. I thought, give it to Henry. Ain't nobody gonna tackle him he can just run all the way for a TD every time. Then they did give it to him and he did the same thing. Run a few yards, stop, somebody touches him, he's down. Kindof ruins the concept of the best vs the best. If guys are that afraid to get hurt, just cancel the game. Luckily real football (XFL) starts next week.
  18. it's the new term. My wife volunteers at a charity to help homeless people with pets. They use it. First heard of it about a month ago. Look to see it more.
  19. No agenda. Just an observation. I read over and over Josh's comp % is low due to drops. Ok. Why does he have so many 2 years in a row with different pass catchers? The theory I read over and over it was the receivers. Maybe Josh contributes somehow? Not saying it's Josh's fault, but maybe it's both? The passes and pass catchers. Seems like a fair question.
  20. I remember last year we had the 2:00 drop video that ticked us off. Does anyone know if there is a similar one for this year? How long is it? One thing that concerns me is we greatly upgraded our talent at WR. Yet the drops continue and are still an excuse. I'm starting to wonder what part Josh plays in this if any? Maybe he throws it too hard? Not a good spiral? Throws so many off target that when one hits a WR in the hands they don't know how to react? Some of the other guys with a lot of drops this year were Mike Evans and Kelce. I have noticed Kelce drops some footballs when watching their games. Kelce however, has Patrick so if he drops one, Patrick will put the next one on him. With Josh, said WR or TE may not get another chance with a decent pass. That could be the difference. If a guy gets a drop, the QB needs to be able to put another good pass in there. Then he gets the same number of drops, but also more completions.
  21. I was the original person to say he wasn't a process guy. What I mean by a "process guy" is a person that totally buys into what McDermott is selling. Coach McDermott is s great leader of men. But he needs them all to totally buy into his program which includes teamwork and loving your teammates, and no person is greater than than the team, etc. Not sure, but I suspect that maybe Clowney is not that kind of guy. If not, we can't use him. McDermott traded Sammy cuz he wasn't his kind of guy and instead holds onto Frank Gore and DiMarco because they are. Because they are "process" guys.
  22. Not a PROCESS guy, so that's a no for me.
