  1. I give them ZERO credit. Maybe they're good but since they cheat I don't know. And, it's not speculation, it's been proven 3 times. Who knows what else they are doing? Bugging the opponent's locker room? Screwing with headsets? Taping SB opponent's walk throughs? Good chance they did it all plus more. They got caught red handed 3 times. Can we really assume those are the ONLY 3 times they've cheated? In reddog's book, they get ZERO credit. How do you know this? It's not hard to imagine that a league that would destroy evidence would not do other unsavory things.
  2. Fair enough. However the Bills were .500 over the 3 previous seasons before McDermott arrived. Not great but not a "bad team" either. And it was a pretty stacked roster at WR and OLine and DLine and RB and DB. If Rex coulda coached D we would have been in the playoffs. Rams, Broncos, Bears, and Eagles all hired new OCs. They all have prolific offensive head coaches and they didn't talk to Daboll. I hope you're right that it all just needs one more year to bake in.
  3. It was sort of in jest. However in the McDermott era we have taken a defensive player in the first round every year. And we have a weakness in McDermott's D at the 2nd CB spot. We passed up really good offensive guys to take defensive guys. Tredavian Nighmare instead of Watson and Mahommes and Oliver over Lamar Jackson for example. Not saying these are not good players, but they are defensive in round 1. I hope not but it wouldn't surprise me.
  4. True. But lets look a the teams that are asking about him. Cleveland - A Clown Car NY Giants - 1st pick in the 2020 draft Better than nobody I guess but not a ringing endorsement IMHO.
  5. Some of the greatest offensive minds in the history of football started out on the D side of the football. Tom Landry immediately comes to mind. Makes sense. How can you be good at defense if you don't understand offense?
  6. I will choose Free Will.
  7. And what will the first RUSH song of the week be?
  8. This is my impression as well with the offense. They could move the football pretty well at times. But as you say once they get to the outskirts of FG range, drives would bog down and often we'd get nothing out of it. Happened a couple of times in the Texans game.
  9. We also saw it in reverse when Rex Roman and Anthony Lynn arrived our offense was really bad. Then with a new QB and a lot of the same guys went from 18th in scoring (Think about that. Hackett's offense with EJ/Orton at QB averaged 2 points per game more than we did this year with Josh as our franchise QB) to 12th in 2015 and then 10th in 2016. Meanwhile, Daboll has taken us from 22nd in scoring in 2017 to 24th in 2019.
  10. This thinking concerns me. Are we trying to save money with lunch pail guys or are we trying to win? I'm not saying big money guys always work out or are necessarily what's needed. But we don't need more cheap average to above average WRs. We NEED a couple of studs to get to the next level and help Josh to become the QB we all hope he can be. We're about 1/2 way through JA's rookie contract. We don't want to get to the end and still wonder if with better WRs he could THE GUY. Time to find that out is 2020 and 2021. should be an interesting off season. This will be our first pick I suspect.
  11. OK, so it's not the offense itself, or Dabol, it's because we had 9 new players on offense in year 3 of the rebuild. If you are a crack GM/talent evaluator, why after 2 years of rebuilding, do you have to flush 82% of your offense and start over? Oh well, Beane himself said he did a bad job of getting offensive talent together or 2018. Well, he did exactly the same in 2019 AND 2017. If the excuse/reason is Dabol's offense stunk because he had all new players and they screwed up a lot, then it's on Beane and he needs to get his act together offensively and find better players that can run Dabol's complex offense. His whole philosophy of moving up to draft a QB with the 7th pick in the draft and NOT adding a lot of talent to help him succeed is odd. now in year 4 allegedly we are finally going to get some top notch WRs. These guys obviously know Defense but I seriously question their knowledge of Offense. After 3 years of rebuilding you're 24th in Offense. OK, stay the course. It's working.
  12. I don't hate the man. However, I will stop wondering when we have a top ten offense under his coaching.
  13. A sad loss for greater rock drumdom. As a drummer and somewhat RUSH fan I think he was an excellent drummer. Like a QB has to be in the right offense, he was in the right band. What he did would probably not work for very many others. Put him in the Rolling Stones for example and wouldn't work. Same could be said for White Stripes LOL. He was interesting. I always viewed him as very technical, very methodical, very prepared, and very creative. I found it interesting that before every tour he would compose a new drum solo, write it out note for note, and then play it the same way every night. I read this in an interview with him a long time ago. While awesome, also seemed kindof the antithesis of what most rock drummers I've known/know do (the ones that like to play solos) and what rock 'n roll is all about. Usually one will have a list in their head of some things they want to do and improvise around and throw those things it at some point. I don't mean to take anything away from him I just find it interesting. I saw RUSH twice. Once on the Permanent Waves tour and one years later. Really good concerts. I preferred the earlier stuff where they had the instrumental sections and stretched out. Farewell to Kings, 2112, and Hemispheres are my favorites. I still have the Hemispheres album in red vinyl. If I had to pick a favorite RUSH song with great Niel lyrics it would be The Trees. Love the woodblock part in the song about wood, well trees actually. Just all of it.
  14. I'd say go all Carolina and hire their cast off former thorn in Buffalo's side, Norv Turner.
  15. There is a book about this. It is an investigation into whether the Cheats*** really cheat or not. There are quotes from players, coaches, footnotes, statistics, etc. it is very well done. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15830772-spygate There is a reason the Eagles did a fake walk through and then did their real one in a hotel ballroom. There are pretty strong allegations and evidence that the Cheats*** video taped the Rams and possibly other SB walk troughs. Marshall Falk tells of a play they put in before the SB and never ran it on film. When they lined up for it, amazingly the Cheats** were in THE PERFECT defense to stop it. Peyton Manning never discussed strategy in Gillette locker room cuz he thinks the locker room is bugged. The mysterious helmet radio cut offs at key points in games is also covered. Flutie's comment about Tommy's helmet radio and on and on. That Philly Shuffle would never had worked if they did it int heir official walk through. Would have been stuffed for a loss. But since they had never seen it ...
  16. I realize it's not my team and I don't do video games. But I am hoping the "McBeans" have more of a sense of urgency than a lot of TBDers who seem willing to wait around while the team makes incremental improvements until someday we might win a playoff game. We don't have forever and with the quality vets we have that the "McBeans" vow to keep, the price of football will be going up starting next year with the Tredavian Nightmare followed shortly by THE MAN (Jo$h) himself and others. NOW is the time to make a serious run at it IMHO. Not 2021 or 2022. NOW. You're never gonna have everything. The drought's over. Time to turn the playoff game drought off too. Win a SB. Go BILLS !!
  17. I guess I didn't watch games either. For large parts of the season Daboll seemed hell bent on passing on every play. 41 passes and 14 runs in a wind storm (Eagles) and 46 passes vs 13 handoffs in wild card game among others makes me think so. Our best guy averaging 5 yards per gets 13 carries. If we did sign Henry, he'd probably get about 12 carries per game. Take a shower at the end of the third quarter.
  18. Making the playoffs as 6th or 5th seed after a 17 year drought was awesome. That said, we don't want to become the Cincinnati "One 'n Done" Bengals. What we have after 2 years is a good start, nothing more. We have a Championship Caliber D. Don't waste it. Now it's time for Josh to kick it up a notch. If he can't this year start looking for someone that can.
  19. You know what this means. Norv Turner is available !!
  20. What QB did we draft and abandon resulting in 20 years of futility? Todd Collins? JP Losman? Trent Edwards? EJ?
  21. I hope we re sign Phillips cuz he gets a lot of sacks. Shaw is a nice player too. You can't dump everybody.
  22. I get what you're saying. But at the same time, if the Cheats*** ST coach and player was not prepared he would have ZERO percent chance of getting a TD on that play. That's why I said what I said about Louis.
