  1. No one notices a furlough unless it impacts productivity.
  2. So you have a case in Newtown where the douche killed his mother and stole her guns in order to bypass the waiting period. Good thing those laws were in effect. You can't buy a gun from a retail store without a background check, so I have no idea what you think happened with Loughner, but that's obviously another successful law. And you're just pulling maybes out of your ass on the third one. Seeing that the laws were so successful in preventing the first two cases listed I can understand why you think more laws would have helped in this case. I also love your line in a previous post about refining restrictions as new gun technology comes about. Exactly what new gun technology are you referring to? Bayonet lugs? You're such a dipshit.
  3. So exactly how do these new proposals refine the laws in such a way that it will prevent more Newtown shootings? Or are you talking out of your ass by parroting your leaders again?
  4. Not to defend Washington too much, but things like GIS mapping data while present in multiple agencies, isn't likely the same, and you very likely can't easily or completely fill 1 agency's data need's with another agency's data. What should be done is to actually see what uses and needs each agency has first, and determine if those are true needs and uses. If so, then they need to determine if and how another set of data can be used to replace their data. Sometimes replacing your data source with another source is possible, but the interface to the new source could be too retarded and expensive to implement. The even funnier part is that in many cases 10 times as much money will be spent talking about whether or not certain data is necessary and what interface to use to get the data, than it would to actually implement a solution. If nothing else, proper paperwork and change request forms need to be filed and approved. But I don't trust our lawmakers, or even the heads of the agencies to get that right either. It's a cluster!@#$, and some people need to be monkey stomped.
  5. So which of his proposed gun control laws will keep a !@#$ed up kid from killing his mother, and then using her handguns to invade a school and kill children? Flash suppressors? Mag size? Background checks? Hey son, you're not allowed to kill your mom, you didn't pass the background check.
  6. Hopefully she doesn't have big ol' hairy pits.
  7. If the upstairs looks that good, imagine what the downstairs is like.
  8. Every year people beg to trade down. Every year they are dismissed, because it's so hard to find a willing trade partner. Last year I believe a record 16 trades happened in the first round. At one point in time trades in the first round, especially in the top 10 were neigh impossible and fairly rare. They have become much more realistic in the past few years, especially with the rookie cap. Pooh poohing the idea of a trade isn't as nearly a safe position to mock from as it used to be.
  9. I think the Mandarin Candidate is the guy that Iron Man is fighting in the new Iron Man movie this year. Although I guess Obama kinda looks like Denzel, but someone will probably call me a racist for that.
  10. Keep this up and you have a shot at getting this moved from PPP to OTW.
  11. If the Bills are bunnies, that makes Bill Belicheck Glenn Close.
  12. Not all the lessons of high school are in books.
  13. I see a girl rocking out on a guitar in the video. Funny, I don't hear anything that resembles a guitar in the song... But I'll let Tom listen to it a couple of dozen times and let me know. Maybe I'm wrong.
  14. Probably has small hands too. So that should help you out a bit.
  15. Digital rental on Vudu.
  16. Fox and Sony need to give their Marvel superhero rights back to Marvel/Disney so better movies can be made.

  18. Hey, I think a running story line I could read on my way to work would certainly make the drive more pleasant. Maybe instead of businesses advertising on those signs, they should just make the signs entertaining so I'm more likely to drive down those streets? Also gratuitous nudity never hurts.
  19. I don't like to pay penalties.
  20. I just want to see a reply billboard from the husband telling her the things that Jessica does better than she did. Bring on the billboard war!
  21. I'd suggest it's also a side effect of low interest rates. The piggy bank on your dresser earns you as much as a savings account. Americans might be willing to make an affordable investment if there were any decent returns to be had in a savings account or CD. Americans aren't nearly as likely to squirrel away money for the sake of having a pot of money.
  22. That's the part that people who have never been leaders have difficulty understanding. It's much easier to dream up evil motives or conspiracy theories than recognize that it's an extremely difficult decision that a leader has to make. And your scenario gave the US complete and accurate intelligence. How much harder does it get when the intelligence isn't complete and in some cases contradictory?
  23. Did you have a bad cowboy riding experience?
