  1. Lolin at the "big things for the Pats game" posts. Unless Chan is going the way of that one high school coach and going for every 4th down, Moorman's roster spot will be.....A PUNTER! Panacea!
  2. Tyler Bray? Really? He's not even the best QB in his SEC division (Aaron Murray), let alone in the conference (Tyler Wilson).
  3. If I could quote this 100 times I would. Some people don't understand football past a scoreboard and stat sheet though.
  4. 1) Fitz made two bad throws for INTs. The first one was on Stevie, he was floating toward the sideline when he should have been driving back to the ball. You don't give Revis extra time to make a play on a ball. 2) Wannstedt's adjustments, or lack thereof, were TERRIBLE. Took him until 3 mins left in the 2nd to start playing press coverage. I'm sorry, but when your brilliant pass rush is being negated by 3 step drops and quick passes, you IMMEDIATELY change to a 4 man rush with your DB's jamming at the line and safety help over the top. 3) Wannstedt seemed preoccupied with this pattern: 4 man rush, 4 man rush, blitz on 3rd and long. What is this, little loop football? On 3rd and 8, you drop as many as you can into coverage. First day in the NFL, Dave? 4) Linebackers were getting eaten alive. They need to make an upgrade to this group yesterday or it's going to be a long season of the DB's getting wrecked on 3 step drops and quick slants. 5) Fitz was sailing balls, throwing behind receivers, and just generally playing like a dumdum today. It's too bad, because it seemed like the O-line actually gave him some time today too! 6) Spiller was the lone bright spot. He showed good vision on a few runs today. It looks like he has finally learned to read his blockers a little bit and not rely solely on his speed to get to the corner, which is good is Fred is out for 2-4 weeks with his knee sprain. 7) I thought the run defense was actually OK. They didn't give up big chunks of yards on any runs I can think of against a sub-par back in Greene, which is a good start. The 1-2 punch of Charles-Hillis next week will be a better test. 8) WHERE WAS THE SAFETY HELP? On the Holmes almost TD, Byrd got caught looking inside badly. Is this your first day here, young man? 9) Again, compliments to the OL. Levitre had a rough day with a couple of uncharacteristic penalties, but I think they did a pretty good job on the whole, especially Glenn. Until his holding call, I hadn't heard him mentioned which is probably what you want from a rookie at LT. 10) There's 15 more games, calm down guys! There are some major adjustments that need to be made, and if they aren't made soon, THEN WE REVOLT!
  5. You mean like Julio Jones, Greg Childs, Joe Adams, AJ Green, Denarius Moore, Jacoby Ford and others? These are just the guys in the NFL right now I KNOW South Carolina played in the last 3 years. Gilmore didn't have a great game, but Wannstedt called a TERRIBLE game.
  6. HUGE difference. I'm sure Kenrick Ellis has some ability but he is not Po'uha. It also helps that they don't have Devito at 100%, as he ate the Bills up in the run game last season.
  7. Not upset about this at all. Like someone said on the first page, perhaps they didn't think either A) Fitz will have time to be chucking 50 yard bombs or B) Graham has the skill set to beat the jam. Cromartie is a BIG CB. In fact, I think Graham gives up about 3 inches and 30-35 lbs on Cromartie. Kyle Wilson is a pretty physical CB too as their nickel guy. It opens up the possibility for a LOT of interesting sets for the Bills. 2 TE with Chandler/Smith to ground and pound, 2 RB with Fred and CJ both in the backfield, sets with Dickerson or CJ running routes out of the backfield, sets with Dickerson or CJ split out wide, etc. With guys like CJ and Dickerson, you can run a "5 wide" set without putting Ruvell Martin out there to run routes, since that's what you guys like to complain about, even though he is a special teams MONSTER. Stevie, Jones, Nelson, and some combination of CJ/Chandler/Dickerson will be the "5 wide" set if they go to it today. Write it down.
  8. What do I want him to be? Early 2000's Rich Gannon/Brad Johnson or mid 2000's Jake Delhomme. Feed the ball to your dynamic running backs 25 times a game and don't make a costly error when its your turn to throw the ball. That, along with a good D, will win you games and got 3 very mediocre QB's to the playoffs multiple times and all to the Big Game once.
  9. ..and then cut Gurley again this year!
  10. perhaps his salary really didn't have anything to do with it. Like was said above, square peg in a round hole. He's been a 3-4 DE his entire career. At least Carrington, disappointing as he may be, was a 4-3 DE in college, and obviously Spencer Johnson was a 4-3 DT during the end of the Jauron era (shudder) so it could just be a scheme fit issue more than talent or salary.
  11. I would love to experience your lot. In fact, if I end up making it to a game this season (life is tough with a full time job and being a full time grad student) it won't be in an RV so I will plan on trying to get in. But like I said. Big IF I make it to a game this season unfortunately.
  12. Pete Prisco is so, so bad.....I'm not sure how he is employed as anything sports related
  13. No offense to Hammer, I'm sure his lot is excellent. But I do highly recommend this grass lot right before Lot 5 you mentioned. I've parked there for the last 3 years, 2 of them while taking my FIL's RV to the game. They still open at 8, they have a designated area for buses and RV's only (right inside the entrance and to the left along the ditch), and it's a nice, easy right out onto Southwestern Blvd.
  14. This guy is trolling right? He's gotta be. People don't actually think like this do they? My lord...
  15. Not sure if serious. Reading this thread reminds me why I find myself coming here less and less. Y'all need to calm the F down. VY doesn't get the offense, TT sucks. Relax about all the other stuff, its preseason. Drink a beer and chill out all of you, jeeeeez. Wake me up on September 9.
  16. Four big old turd sandwiches. Its sad when the Dedes/Beuerlein combo is the best option. That being said, I hate almost all the CBS pairs at this point with my favorite, Gus Johnson, gone. Can't stand Simms, often don't watch the 4 pm games because of him. Marv has lost it with age, and don't like Dierdorf much either but I DO like Gumbel.
  17. Just started the 4th season. What did Anna Gunn do between season 3 and 4? Holy plastic surgery nightmares Batman
  18. Funny you mention this episode, I literally just finished watching it on Netflix and boy did it drag. Absolutely nothing for 45 minutes. Easily the worst episode since season 1, which I felt dragged a little bit at points. Season 3 has been stellar thus far, and I'm hoping to fly through season 4 on Netflix and get caught up with season 5 within a few weeks here
  19. LQ bridge has the smallest amount of lanes, usually won't have all lanes open, and is the bridge most Canadian shoppers use. During tourist season Rainbow can back up too as people want to get right into DT Niagara Falls, but they're usually good about keeping a good deal of lanes open and moving people along quickly. LQ seems to have more secondary inspections and long stops than the others, IMO.
  20. Don't use the Lewiston Queenston bridge. Ever. That immediately shaves a good 30 mins off your wait time.
  21. Actually no attempt at humor there I just felt it was much more fitting. As part of my undergraduate work at Buff State for social studies education, I had to take a course in the History dept entirely based around writing and researching a topic in local history only. My topic of choice was Love Canal, with a focus on the related media exposure. It absolutely blew my mind, as someone born in 1988, to read everything related to the disaster, as I did days upon days of reading on only background information before delving into everything else. I didn't even have the time to get into some materials that piqued my interest that didn't apply to my paper. It was all just so much to take in, and further pushed my disenfranchisement with government
  22. Forget the Silo, its overpriced for the same grub you can get anywhere else. You pay extra for the view. Hit up any of the other restaurants in Lewiston and you can't go wrong, they all have good food. Except Syro's, I can't vouch for them its the one place there I never got around to eating at in all the years I lived there
  23. It feels like you are in Ukraine circa 1992
  24. 2 errors I see. One, Miami on Thursday night is a home game, not a "home" game. Seattle is not a long road trip, Toronto is only 90 mins away
  25. I use a Gillette Fusion. Always have and I won't change now because 30 cents of my purchase may go toward the naming rights for tne Patriots stadium. Buncha crazies up in here, whether this post is serious or not
