  1. No need, now that Gilliam is back.
  2. We could go with 6 OL men occasionally. Think I read somewhere that we've done that in previous games.
  3. Well yes. He's got to stick with the narrative.
  4. If BB thinks we only have one good WR, he'll double Diggs. We still have Knox. We still have other WRs. And Allen can still get the ball to any of them. Singletary is also a passing option. Running the ball is still an option. Plenty of ways to skin this cat.
  5. Prefer to see Singletary get the majority of carries. He has been successful running off tackle and getting to the perimeter. He does a better job of using his blockers. Another thing the Bills have completely stopped doing is allow Allen to, by design roll out, on pass plays. Defenses early in the season were sending extra rushers from the edges to deter this. But now would be a good time to sneak a couple of those in. Josh should run occasionally too. Get the run going any way they can and then play action pass to freeze defenders just long enough for a nice chunk pass play. This offense has the tools to pull ahead. All they have to do is go out there and execute. I'd also like to see some presnap movement to help confuse the defense. They don't need to get carried away with it, just mix things up and keep that NE D guessing. Have a hunch we are going to see a very different game from the last one. NE was fortunate in that last game, but their luck just ran out. Every player has a little more steam in their engines after losing that last one. Bank on it.
  6. I watched that last game as the Bills entered the red zone twice as many times as NE. That was a game the Bills should have won. The offense was clearly limited by what they could do because of wind conditions. Add in the bad taste the Bills have in their mouths over that game and you are going to see a very different outcome in this game. Toward the end of that game, the offense began passing more frequently with success. I believe the Bills will overcome the refs, overcome whatever the NE D throws at them. Might even be a bloodbath game where Belichick is throwing stuff in anger again. He was lucky the weather gave him an edge in the last game. Ain't happening this time. They play smart football, but there are no lockdown corners on that team. There are no super stars. The quality of the players will be inevitable. I see two stingy defenses and only one offense that is capable of taking a defense to the woodshed.....and ain't NE's.
  7. Just read an article about Buffalo's run game. They have been very effective on 1st down, the last couple of weeks. Averaging over 5yds last week and over 10 the week before. Good sign. Buffalo doesn't need a juggernaut run game, just for it to be effective and a threat. This opens up passing plays too. In the last game nobody wanted to pass because of the very windy weather. That is Buffalo's strength on offense and wind won't be a factor. They are learning to set up pass plays better with the way defenses are playing them now. Really don't see NE holding Buffalo to under 20pts. Probably not even 30. On the flip side, I do see Buffalo holding NE to less than 20. NE has a good D, but they can't stop what is coming. My prediction: 36 - 13 Buffalo The Bills are pissed and it shows in this one.
  8. It'll certainly be a very high percentage of run plays. Only passing enough to keep our D off balance. On the flip side, the Bills will pass significantly more frequently. I don't expect the wind to be as much of a factor, so both teams will pass more than the last one. But the Pats* game plan will be a heavy dose of running. That was a weird game a couple weeks ago. The Bills, while passing more, won't abandon the run. They really need the run to set up that play action against this team. They are also good at limiting pass plays, but it's strength against strength. I think the Patriots are going to get a wake up call in this one. Buffalo's offense is going to score more. A lot more.
  9. I like Brown. Love his attitude. Just needs to keep his head and stop making dumb mistakes. I'd like to see him block for Singletary more. Pretty sure that Singletary is getting more reps because he is better at running off the tackles. The runs up the middle have not been working at all this year.
  10. Going to be interesting to see who is where on the OL this week. This shuffling around is getting ridiculous. Makes it hard to evaluate players too when they practice one position only to be switched to another every week. If they could just keep the same line-up for a couple of weeks, the run game would improve. Still, all of the rotating is something they have been doing all year. You'd think, eventually they'll have a good game as a unit. They must be getting tired of looking like a steaming pile of s**t every week. Think they come out with an attitude this week.
  11. I believe Singletary is being used more because he is better at attacking the edges rather than the power runs up the middle. I'd like to see the OL not being shuffled around seemingly every week. Then, we might begin to see more success in that running game. The thing that I like about Singletary is he is more patient and is really good at letting his blockers do their job instead of running into a pile of defenders. The downside is that he is often caught in the backfield before he can get going. Much of that is the OL.
  12. Every single player on Buffalo's roster is steaming mad about the loss to NE a couple of weeks ago because they know they should have taken them down then. Even the coach is pissed. I think we are going to see a massacre this weekend. Josh will be slinging the rock instead of run, run pass. The D is going to bring it on every single snap. And the coach isn't going to accept excuses from anyone. On a side note, I think the young DEs are going to get more play time because the older guys haven't been getting it done. Take a look at the snap counts against Carolina. Basham with over 40% of snaps? They plan to be more disruptive on that Dline. There's something in the air. I can smell it. As for the Oline, I think they too have much to prove. I like Spencer Brown's attitude. He's making some foolish rookie mistakes, but he's playing hard and we need that. I believe they have been through a lot throughout the season and they are going to leave it all on the field this weekend. Those guys are itching to give Josh and Singletary what they need. The offense from every lineman to each skill player is preparing for war this weekend. Massacre, I tell ya. The odor is pungent in the air. Something big is about to happen. I'd feel sorry for NE.....if it was any other team.
  13. Bills won't be forced to run the ball for 70% of the snaps because of the wind this time around. Payback time. NE is about to run into a major reality check.
  14. Just poking fun at the OP. Read a little of the thread before the game and that was the 1st thing that popped into my head when he went to get checked out...lol.
  15. Who the hell is the SOB that started this thread and jinxed Dane Jackson?
  16. I wouldn't mind seeing Mitch play a lights out game against Carolina. Go in there and just obliterate them. Then when teams are dying to get a QB next year, the Bills have some good leverage to sell him to the highest bidder. Allen can rest and get some time with the coaches with a game plan the following week. Now is not a good time to risk him injuring himself further with that sprain. I can see why many are ok with playing Josh. Just seems like a bit of a panicky way of looking at it. Mitch can get the job done against this team anyway. The Bills are still in relatively good shape. They can survive a week without Josh.
  17. Crap. That's a blow to our special teams.
  18. They only show wind speed every 4hrs. 2AM it dies down to 17mph. I think Josh should practice in the stadium when it's windy. Just to get a better feel for it. With the arm strength he has, he should be able to overcome some of the accuracy issues. Maybe he has....
  19. Forecast says winds will still be 20-25MPH during the game.
  20. ...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. * WHERE...Chautauqua and Southern Erie counties. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Expires in 3 hr. 1 hour ago • Source: National Weather Service
  21. So, a while back, I changed my DTV package to one that was less expensive. Mainly because my wife wanted Hallmark channel. Weird the lower package had the channel but the higher one didn't. Today I discovered that I don't have ESPN. Signed up for a free trial of HULU+ which has the game. Hoping everything works the way it's supposed to in these high winds.
  22. NE is about to come back to earth. Like a rock hitting the ground......with a thud.
  23. I am thinking this game will certainly be hard fought, but as the game wears on, the *Pats will begin to look out matched. We are going to win this game in the trenches and nobody is going to see that coming. The fat boys are back. We'll run the ball effectively. Josh will then put a dagger in their hearts with a little play action pass. The defense will play press coverage and disrupt that short passing game and the big uglies on the DL will make Mac uncomfortable. I see a couple of blitzes coming. That RT of NE's is 360lbs. Watch for a speed rush to that tub of lard's side.
  24. Well, ok....but remember you asked for it.
  25. Wind may be petering out before or during the game. That advisory starts tonight and ends 10PM Monday night. Hard to say, but might not even be a factor.
