I think Josh needs to run, get that adrenaline flowing. When he is trying to simply be a pocket passer all game, he looks lethargic, like he's bored. Josh is so much better with his hair on fire. This is true of many athletes. That edge that you get when both your mind and body is jacked up on an adrenaline rush is what he needs. Saw signs of that last week. Hoping to see more of that this week.

Week 9, Bills v. Bengals - Predict the Score

36 - 31 Bills I think the Bills offense puts on a show and the defense disappoints. -
Josh Allen - DNP Wednesday Practice Designation

Or it could be nothing and just needs a bit of rest. Just soreness from landing on it. From Josh's comments, that's all it sounds like. -
You people trashing Knox don't know what you are talking about. That was a great punch at the ball by the defender there. Knox had his back to him and never saw it coming.

Jennings faking it

I was gonna say don't run here, but Cook got the 1st down anyway

That's the last time NE scores

Cook and Kincaid are playing well today.

I thought we weren't allowed to run a screen

Wow. Seriously bad take. You have absolutely no idea what has been said or even what the issues on offense are. These guys have meetings, watch film and you can bet, they also have a plan going forward. Do you realize you sound like a spoiled kid here? We've seen amazing production the last few years and now that there have been a couple of mediocre games at worst, this is your take?

Buffalo has way too many slot receivers. The problem with that is it takes longer to bring them up to speed. There is a lot of communication involved to get timing right. I think some of these guys are good. They just aren't getting enough opportunities to shine. Maybe we'll see some improvement as the season progresses.

The Pats aren't tanking. They are all ready in the tank.....and flushed down the drain.

I don't think that is the goal at all, but Allen is taking more of the high percentage, short passes out of necessity. He still likes those downfield shots but defenses are doubling those deep routes. The idea with 12 personnel and running more is to force one of the safeties to play short. Taking those quick hit passes is just another method to do the same. The Bills definitely want to take deeper shots but you have to get single coverage to do it. Allen took the league by storm with deeper shots in his first couple of seasons. Defenses are adjusting. Josh also must adjust. I think Josh, in play action passes, is pushing the ball downfield a lot. Problem is, if you do that too much, defense sit back there in coverage waiting for opportunities to pick him off. I think Josh is often at his best when he is scrambling and extending plays. There is a concerted effort across the whole offense to suck those defenders in close so Josh can take those deep shots. They aren't trying to turn him into Brady. They are trying to open up that deep ball game and also become more diverse with play calling. They've had some success all ready. I think they are only going to improve as the season progresses. We all love those big plays. They will come, though. Patience....

I must be dreaming. Panthers 14. Miami 0.

I think what a lot of people are missing is that Josh has not been running for his life this year. The pass protection has markedly improved. A lot of that is the usage of the TEs. I believe, the TE production in the pass game will increase over the season. The type of offense is different and the way defenses play us is changing as well. People can poo-poo the coaching but the answer isn't as black and white as many here believe. I believe the offense is figuring some things out and I believe there will be some incredible production as the season progresses. It doesn't happen over night. Josh has a lot of new weapons and it takes time to gain trust. I think we have seen the ball going to a lot of new players. Some good, some not so good. Eventually, some of them will become stars on this team. I also think the coaching for the offensive line is very good and that there is an effort to establish a run game. Not as a means to take away from the pass game but as a way to improve it. It is a fact that the run can set up the pass, just as the pass can set up the run. Again, we are working with some new pieces. New OLmen, new RBs. New TE. There has been some good, some not so good. The production of the offensive coaching is much more than just calling the right play. It's also figuring out who the stars are and how they fit into this offense. I am leaning toward thinking that the offense is on the verge of a break out. I've seen some signs of it. Not everything is going as planned, but it never does. Soon though, we are going to see some offensive players besides Diggs, begin to shine.
