  1. Indeed it was not actually kool-aid that they drank
  2. Hey, a lot of jokes in here and all good, but this stuff is really important. I work for an mlb team as a scout (and only see the states for a week or two a year), but I can tell you that good facilities make a huge difference. When I sign a player, I can legitimately tout our spring training complex. Some are brutal. It makes a difference. Also, people make fun of "culture", but it is essential to an organization. Nobody wants to be part of a shitshow. Maybe it doesn't make a ten million dollar difference, but when it comes to a ten percent difference, it counts.
  3. Wilbert Montgomery was a stud until he blew his knee. Bunch of early eighties rbs blew out. William Andrews and Billy Sims come to mind.
  4. Yet I somehow look on those years fondly compared to the Rex years
  5. You're probably right and it says something that we haven't addressed the defensive line in free agency. We are probably going d-line in the draft. That being said, I think Metcalf is going to be a stud. I don't know enough about the depth of d-linemen in this draft to know whether or not we gamble on picking up someone functional in rounds 2-4.
  6. Is this because he can't drop into coverage?
  7. I think Eli is his ceiling. Never got the love for him. Too thin. On the Matt Barkley road by 2021.
  8. Aye. The Rex Ryan experiment was a brutal disaster that wasted two years of everyone's bills fandom
  9. Have lived in Taiwan for 13 years, watch all the games live, and, aye, get my breaking news at odd times. When we make it to the Superbowl, will definitely throw a bash at my restaurant here. Superbowl Party 8 a.m. on a Monday. Ha
  10. They'll draft someone and it will all be good. Gore knows more about the position than anybody walking around and probably has a year left in the tank.
  11. Those and I believe it was 1983 when Ferguson beat the dolphins in Miami. 38-35 or some such. I was nine. Couldn't believe my eyes.
  12. I once saw a guy passed out into the bathroom when it was rich stadium. Flat out, next to trough, if memory serves. A wee kid, maybe five or six was shaking him saying, "Daddy wake up." Something I'd like to erase from my memory. I think was ten. 1984.
  13. I'll never forget the year I ran for more yards than Reggie Bush
  14. He was a backup for the injured Tommy Kramer. I always that was part of Tommy Kramer's name when I was wee tyke.
  15. Bill Burr rightly summed this up. It really is, almost all the time, a question of will. Nobody is being force fed. A friend of mine has a fat kid, he can't figure it out. The kid doesn't buy his own food. Not a mystery.
  16. Tough to bring down that Canuck!
  17. I'd like a national holiday for elections first.
  18. Indeed. Glenn is not the Glenn who had a great start to his career.
  19. That article almost made me feel sorry for him. Almost.
  20. The dolphins offense has been hard to watch. Can look clever at times, but never attacks down field. They need everything to go right on ten consecutive plays to score.
