I read he told teams at the combine he was going to leave his partying days in the past. Can you trust a guy like that? Maybe you take a late round flyer or UDFA, but hes probably a 1st round target for philly now

In hindsight, should we have traded for Diontae Johnson?

I have been called Ask me in January and I’ll let you know -
Yup. Remember when Rex was at a baseball game in Cleveland on a Thursday night instead of preparing for a game? But he “left early” so he had time to get ready His teams were loaded with talent and had a huge coaching staff but were constantly unprepared and it showed. Rex would have stuck with Tyrod for a few more years, hanging his head on having a top rushing attack with an aging McCoy all while his defense got shredded by Brady and Co for a few more embarrassing losses

He had 4 games under 30 yards receiving. That can be replaced

I'm a fan of that. This team needs new blood in lots of places Luckily we don't plan a game next weekend. Plenty of time to get that sorted out

Check out the chiefs WR room

The Vikings QB is this guy It could end being a high second rounder next year

So Bidwell sells the Cards for 8 billion? Commanders just went for 6. I'm sure that will teach him!

Brock Purdy got a nice boost, maybe he can finally get his own place -
I'm not so sure. We have had top defenses for years. It wouldn't be pretty, but McDermott has won plenty of games with less than superb QB play
-
I’m 35. So sad and way too young
-
Of course not, I think McDermott is a good coach tho and can win in a variety of ways. I also think Andy Reid would win 9 games with someone like Blaine Gabbert. Both are good coaches who happen to have elite talents at QB
-
Sure, but McDermott would have had this team competing hard each week even with Kyle Allen. I wouldn't be surprised to see this as a fringe playoff team without Allen. McDermott is basically Mike Tomlin, they will both not accept a losing season. Bills won 6 games in 2018, starting 4 different QBs (Peterman, Allen, Anderson and Bakley) and one of the worst rosters in football. With a better roster now, even without Allen, I could see McDermott winning 9 ugly ugly games

The criticism of Josh Allen
Captain Hindsight replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh has some of the best playoff numbers in the history of the NFL. The criticism of Josh is absurd -
What are your thoughts on the Steelers QB situation?
Captain Hindsight replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Some of you may remember my quest to watch every game this year. I didn’t watch every game, Carolina was particularly difficult to watch, but I did watch every bears game because of Fields. The fact there was a “debate” of whether or not to keep him was absurd. He has some of the worst field awareness in the NFL. He fumbled like Peterman threw picks (ironically Peterman was one of his backups) Everyone like to point out that he’s a great athlete, and he is. Probably one of the better athletes at the position. But Josh, Mahomes, Burrow hell even Tua are good enough athletes to play QB. At the end of the day, you have to be able to move the ball through the air and Fields isn’t even close to effective consistently to be a good QB. It’s why he was traded for a conditional 6th. The league sees it too -

Beane Discusses Draft Strategy w/ Pat McAfee
Captain Hindsight replied to Donuts and Doritos's topic in The Stadium Wall
People need to understand that the number of people that can run routes and catch the football is an incredible amount compared to people the can block or set the edge effectively. It’s why guys like Marshall Newhouse can be traded for an asset and Bobby Hart will be in 3 different rosters in a season. It’s why Jadevon Clowney, who has been a massive disappointment, keeps getting contracts. Those guys are much harder to find. Teams should invest high resources into those guys By the same token, guys like Gabe Davis (4th round) Shakir (5th Round) Diggs (5th round) can be effective players despite their draft number. -

Fields has some of the worst field awareness in the NFL. If he wasn’t such a good athlete, he would have been benched long ago. But he makes a few highlight runs and people think he has some untapped talent. Great athlete, great arm, horrible awareness. He fumbles like peterman throws picks. As long as Wilson is reasonable competent (which he will be) Fields will stay on the bench
