    My understanding is that if someone claims him they take over the contract, if no one claims him, the team that waived him is responsible for his contract

    Rob Parker is about as reliable a wet paper bag. He lives off controversy, I highly doubt this guy has done enough in the offseason, when players don't have to be at the facility, to be cut within ten days of being claimed off waivers

    This^ There is no benefit to letting him go now. None, zero zip. It just creates another hole. Not a good idea to go into the draft needing to draft a QB in order to have, well anyone capable of playing QB in August
