  1. And hopefully Berman talks to the cab driver.
  2. Remember when rumors started about Warren Sapp prior to the draft and he dropped?? He think he had a pretty good career.
  3. Look how just one move has changed the attitude of this board. After last season's collapse, I was actually thinking of dropping NFL Ticket since I mainly get it for Bills' games. Now I'll probably keep it. While not the magnitude of those of you who were thinking of dropping their season tickets, it reflects a change in my attitude about this team.
  4. And it's also not guaranteed, with no bonus, so they can cut ties with him at any time and it doesn't cost them anything..
  5. I was amazed to read that TO had 33 drops in 2008, Maybe that was a typo. I had seen graphics in recent games where a guy who was known for dropping passes led his team with like 12. 33 drops is 2 per game over a full season. And, for all of TO's faults, he does play hard. He doesn't dog it blatantly like R.Moss when the play isn't going to him. He has been a good downfield blocker also. Of course, at 6-3, 225, he should be.
  6. Yep. Unlike when JP was given the strting job, there is nobody else on this roster as a threat to him. This is both a good & bad thing. If he gets hurt (notice I didn't say when but almost did) we have the weak-armed Fitzpatrick, who hejped Houshmanzadeh and Ocho Cinco to career lows in yards per reception. However, he doesn't have to look over his shoulder. I'm still wondering, if July rolls around, and the likes of Frerotte & Garcia strill don't have team, whether the Bills may consider adding more experience to the QB crew
  7. He's already "playing" for his next contract.
  8. And Josh Reed back in the slot. After Dallas let TO go, I thought about what it would be like if New England signed him to pair with Moss outside and Welker in the slot. This may not rival that but could still be potent.
  9. Aaaarrgghh!!! Who cares how tall the guy is if he can play???!! London Fletcher is only 5-10, Did that hurt him in making 150 tackles a season for the Bills?? LB is one position where height doesn't matter.
  10. Having heard all the discussions ad nauseum after TO was cut by Dallas, one strong point made by some: TO is not a bad guy. He hasn't been arrested, suspended for off field issues, shot himself in the leg, etc. He's just a very immature guy with a "Me" attitude who has been a cancer in the lockerroom. It is unfortunate that the Bills don't seem to have a coaching or player personality to somewhat keep TO in line. No Kelly , Smerlas or Talley. Dallas didn't have anyone either. Could use a Ray Lewis-type. Also, not sure TO would be a Levy character guy.
  11. T.O. will likely bring Jauron to tears at some point.
  12. Even though not on WGR now, they said something about posting it to their website. They have a reporter there.
  13. Maybe some of them weren't impressed with who they met with from the Bills?? Talking a few mins with Jauron sure wouldn't get someone motivated to sign with them.
  14. I like what I just read about Keiaho. Young and improving. I think they'd be better off with him than Cato June
  15. That's why I hope the Bills don't take Orakpo with their 1st pick. You hate to feel that way about a player just based on the school he's at but their history is not good. I guess Poslusny may not have much input on Maybin since he was a freshman when Pos was a senior but I'm sure he still keeps in contact with the PSU coaching staff.
  16. I've read that he's considered by some to be a once in a decade level TE. You don't hear that about any of the DEs, although Michael Johnson was highly thought of before this past college season. He has the lack of motor issue but may be worth a chance in the 2nd round.
  17. Remember that Parcells has said in the past that he doesn't believe in spending big money on WRs that are only involved in a few plays per game.
  18. That's why a team like Buffalo needs to build thru the draft. If they can't attract the free agents, invest in their college scouting staff to find the diamonds in the rough. They especially can't afford to have 1st rounders be busts (Mike Williams, Erik Flowers, Losman), or trade them away for players who don't have a lasting impact (Bledsoe). You've also had trading up to draft a disappointing McCargo and taking a risk on an injured McGahee when you already had a productive RB in T.Henry. They don't have to "hit All Pro home runs" with each 1st rounder but need to at least get a productive starter (like Whitner, Evans, Clements) out of them. The misses & mistakes with the 1st rounders are a big reason for this playoff drought. I saw an article before the Super Bowl about what Pittsburgh had done with its 1st rounders in the last 10 years and it was pretty impressive.
  19. Why is it that these guys keep being busts with Buffalo?? I say it's coaching but the Bills even had McNally and still the O-Line underachieved. Mike Gandy ends up being the starting LT for the Super Bowl Cardinals. He wasn't much with the Bills. I suppose Dockery will now make the Pro Bowl back with the Skins?? If the Skins watched film of him the last couple years, why would they offer him $5 Mil a year?? What became of Tuten Reyes?? One thing most of you have right is that most of the Bills' free agent signings have been based on potential. With all of the deals that ended overpaying for performance, just once a year paying for a proven star should've paid off better.
  20. In how many other fields would this be true??
  21. Right, then they move to LA !!
  22. Another thought on a waste of time with Taylor. It was reported that he was visiting the Pats & Bills. Did they really think they had a chance against the best run organization and most successful team?? I would think it would have to be a player 100% after the money and the Bills offering twice as much as the Pats to have a chance.
  23. One smart thing I guess signing a Fitzpatrick vs the others is it doesn't give any false illusions about the offense. Despite how the offense was with Kelly, it doesn't make sense to have a passing offense playing in the Buffalo Winter. A ball-control run-oriented offense makes more sense. The cost to acquire some of these other QBs could be a waste if they were underutilized. I have had an issue with the Bills continuing to acquire QBs who grew up in California, even though I live out here, when they have little or no exposure to playing in winter weather. Fitzpatrick had played for Harvard in likely some poor conditions and 2 seasons with Cincy. Hopefully Edwards gets used to the conditions.
  24. Yahoo Sports has a list of the Top 100 Free Agents going into Friday. Hangartner is # 61, and listed as the 4th center after Jason Brown, Grove & Birk. Fitzpatrick was WAY down the list at #91 and the 8th QB. Hopefully this works out but I'm somewhat disappointed. Possibly they could've had Cassell for a 2nd rounder, Rosenfells for a 4th, Kitna in some deal or Frerotte for nothing. Sure, you can say Edwards is your guy & you don't want him looking over his shoulder but to me the jury is still out on him, especially with the injury history & cold weather play. Why would you not want to position yourself to improve on that position??
