  1. If we’re talking about day 3 RBs, I have to mention Bucky Irving (U of Oregon), even though he’s probably not a fit for the Bills. Undersized, but extremely shifty and quick; always makes the first tackler miss. Definitely not a pile-mover, but very productive at Oregon (almost 1700 yards from scrimmage in 2023) and maybe the best pass-catching back in the draft. Reminds me of a slightly faster Devin Singletary…
  2. I hate to break the news to you, but the fourth round takes place on day 3 of the NFL draft.
  3. He’s not the only one. I’ve seen at least two others rank Thomas ahead of Adunze and one guy rank him ahead of MHJ.
  4. Quite a few draft analysts have Thomas ranked ahead of one or more of the "Big 3". It's not inconceivable that he could be drafted in the top 10...
  5. So a guy who absolutely abused SEC defensive backs this year “is not ready to play against NFL defenses”?? Yeah, ok.
  6. Good point
  7. Except in the playoffs, where offensive holding is legal…
  8. That’s about what they’ll get
  9. Correct. Everyone knows that the Niners can't/won't keep Aiyuk and they know he wants to get paid. They will get no more than a second round pick for him, even though he is a top 10 receiver in the league...
  10. I think Aiyuk can be had for a second round pick…I don’t think the Niners can keep him and they’re going to realize sooner or later that it’s better to get something for him now than nothing later.
  11. It’s a tough one. Jones isn’t great, but he’s not terrible either and you could argue that he’s the least of their problems. The roster needs help badly and they need the most help at WR, which is where this draft is strongest and deepest. The worst thing they could do is trade up for a qb who may or may not be better than Jones. I think they stay put or trade back to get more premium picks.
  12. It may be a crapshoot from the perspective of selecting players who succeed in the NFL, but teams can help themselves by using those first and second round “lottery tickets” on high dollar, high impact positions like QB, edge, and WR instead of RB, C and safety. I think that’s what separates the good teams from the bad ones.
  13. I think they would consider moving back to 28 in exchange for 60, plus next year's first, or maybe both of our second round picks next year. I don't see any way we could move up into the top half of the first round without giving up 60 this year. Teams don't want to drop back that far without some immediate return...
  14. Well, they've certainly put themselves in a very good position to get a QB...now they just have to pick the right one...
  15. Because he's old and no longer very good. He was the Chargers' WR 1 last year and they suffered because of it. They had a dink and dunk offense that scared absolutely no one and the fact that Keneen Allen was their best receiver was a big part of that. The fact that the Chargers dealt him for a fourth round pick should tell you something... I agree, but they've made some good moves recently, like picking up Carolina's first round pick and the trade for Montez Sweat...
  16. They seem to be getting smarter...
  17. Keenan Allen is barely a WR 2 right now. I guarantee the Bears draft a receiver on day 1 or day 2 who will supplant him this year or next.
  18. Why wouldn't I care about age? The issue is "which receiver would you rather have right now" because that's the decision any team wanting to sign Aiyuk has to ask, not "Who has had the more impressive career accomplishments?". No GM would take K Allen, Evans, Diggs, Adams or Kupp over Aiyuk right now and that's probably also true regarding Nakua, Olave and Wilson, even though they are really good young players. Tee Higgins is a pretty good comp, but Aiyuk is more explosive and just had a much better year than Higgins, who has been somewhat injury-prone. Aiyuk is about to sign a top four or five WR contract, that's for sure.
  19. Give me a break...Nakua's played one year in the league and Kupp has had two down years in row. Keenan Allen wouldn't even sniff the top 20 at this point in his career and Diggs, Evans, and Adams are all over 30 and noticeably in decline, although all can still play...Olave is a good player, but there's absolutely no reason to think he's better than Aiyuk at this point in his career.
  20. Wilson's definitely got potential, but he hasn't accomplished nearly as much as Aiyuk to this point in his career.
  21. I'll give you Lamb, but given their ages, no one would prefer Evans, Adams or Diggs to Aiyuk right now... I'd rather have Aiyuk than St Brown or McLaurin; he's much more explosive than those guys. Aiyuk has gotten better every year and just had a monster season at age 25...
  22. The only ones I can name who are definitely better than Aiyuk are Jefferson, Chase, Hill...maybe AJ Brown...maybe I'm forgetting a few, but that's about it. I'm all ears...who are the WRs in the NFL who are definitely better than Aiyuk?
