    I think people are going to be surprised how high Nix and especially Penix are selected...they are the safest of the QB picks.

    I know Johnston wasn’t their pick, but it’s too early to write him off, and I don’t see a Jim Harbaugh team taking a WR in round 1 two years in a row. I think they trade back, take a tackle and then a WR later, probably on day 2.

    I appreciate the gambling insights but to me this is a non-story unless the odds of Diggs leaving Buffalo have moved a lot, and it sounds like they haven’t. He’s still going nowhere.

    It's poor positional value and Beane has shown that that is important to the Bills. I just can't see it.

    I would give that up to move up into the late teens for Thomas, but I have a feeling he’s coming off the board before that, maybe even before Odunze…

    Not saying I agree with that draft strategy…I think Beane would point out that they use a four-man rotation on the IDL.

    I think the Bills would also consider one of their top interior DLs if they are available at 28…I think they believe the Samuel acquisition frees them up to go WR in round 2.

    It's also an officiating problem...referees simply do not call offensive holding in the playoffs (especially against the Chiefs), so when it most matters, they are able neutralize all that expensive edge rush talent that you stocked up on in the draft and in free agency...
