  1. It's absolutely correct. The Bills are not in rebuilding mode now and they won't be until Josh Allen is gone or substantially diminished. NE was never "rebuilding" with Brady, KC has never rebuilt with Mahomes, GB never "rebuilt" with Rodgers, etc...
  2. Those kind of guys are replaced by NFL teams every year with no drop off in performance. That’s why they are called JAGS…🤣
  3. So you really think we'll miss Gabe Davis, Dane Jackson and Tim Settle???? You must be the only one on this board who thinks so. Dooooomed! Mitch Morse was a good center but he was getting old, and with most teams not using a nose tackle, center is probably the most de-valued position there is, maybe even more than running back. There no reason Connor McGovern can't be a perfectly fine replacement. I'm not sure who the #2 RB is that you're referring to...oh wait, Latavius Murray????? How will we ever survive without him???? 😃 Please tell me you're not "concerned" about safety...Hyde and Poyer's play fell off considerably last year and there are still a number of NFL starting safeties from last year available as free agents. And of course at least two of our 10 draft picks are sure to be safeties... These types of departures are typical of every NFL team every year...The Chiefs this year had a grand total of three starters left from the 2020 Super Bowl championship team. Your level of "sky is falling" hysteria about losing a bunch of JAGs is absolutely hilarious. And to answer your last absurd comment, the Patriots never had a "re-build" in the Brady era. They won the AFCE 18 out of 20 years and made the playoffs every year except when Brady tore his ACL. They were Super Bowl contenders every year, while turning over their roster at almost the same rate as the Chiefs...
  4. I don’t think you read anything I wrote. Where did I say the Bills don’t need difference makers? I said they are not rebuilding and will contend for a championship, just like they have the last four years.
  5. We lost one key player, a guy who is 31 and whose production fell off a cliff the last 10 games of the season. Every NFL team loses multiple starters every year, to trades, free agency or retirement. FFS, you don’t even know who they’re going to add in the draft, and free agency isn’t over! A team with prime Josh Allen is never in rebuilding mode…never. I fully expect the Bills to be better in 2024 than they were last year.
  6. Sure, a team with Josh Allen in his prime, a coach going into his eighth year with the team, and a veteran roster is "rebuilding"...yeah, OK
  7. They’ll only drop back into the second if there are a few guys they’d be more or less equally happy with. If Beane really likes Leggette, he’ll take him at 28…he won’t risk losing him to KC or some other team. That’s not the way he operates.
  8. If we’re talking about day 3 RBs, I have to mention Bucky Irving (U of Oregon), even though he’s probably not a fit for the Bills. Undersized, but extremely shifty and quick; always makes the first tackler miss. Definitely not a pile-mover, but very productive at Oregon (almost 1700 yards from scrimmage in 2023) and maybe the best pass-catching back in the draft. Reminds me of a slightly faster Devin Singletary…
  9. I hate to break the news to you, but the fourth round takes place on day 3 of the NFL draft.
  10. He’s not the only one. I’ve seen at least two others rank Thomas ahead of Adunze and one guy rank him ahead of MHJ.
  11. Quite a few draft analysts have Thomas ranked ahead of one or more of the "Big 3". It's not inconceivable that he could be drafted in the top 10...
  12. So a guy who absolutely abused SEC defensive backs this year “is not ready to play against NFL defenses”?? Yeah, ok.
  13. Except in the playoffs, where offensive holding is legal…
  14. That’s about what they’ll get
  15. Correct. Everyone knows that the Niners can't/won't keep Aiyuk and they know he wants to get paid. They will get no more than a second round pick for him, even though he is a top 10 receiver in the league...
  16. I think Aiyuk can be had for a second round pick…I don’t think the Niners can keep him and they’re going to realize sooner or later that it’s better to get something for him now than nothing later.
  17. It’s a tough one. Jones isn’t great, but he’s not terrible either and you could argue that he’s the least of their problems. The roster needs help badly and they need the most help at WR, which is where this draft is strongest and deepest. The worst thing they could do is trade up for a qb who may or may not be better than Jones. I think they stay put or trade back to get more premium picks.
  18. It may be a crapshoot from the perspective of selecting players who succeed in the NFL, but teams can help themselves by using those first and second round “lottery tickets” on high dollar, high impact positions like QB, edge, and WR instead of RB, C and safety. I think that’s what separates the good teams from the bad ones.
  19. I think they would consider moving back to 28 in exchange for 60, plus next year's first, or maybe both of our second round picks next year. I don't see any way we could move up into the top half of the first round without giving up 60 this year. Teams don't want to drop back that far without some immediate return...
  20. Well, they've certainly put themselves in a very good position to get a QB...now they just have to pick the right one...
  21. Because he's old and no longer very good. He was the Chargers' WR 1 last year and they suffered because of it. They had a dink and dunk offense that scared absolutely no one and the fact that Keneen Allen was their best receiver was a big part of that. The fact that the Chargers dealt him for a fourth round pick should tell you something... I agree, but they've made some good moves recently, like picking up Carolina's first round pick and the trade for Montez Sweat...
