  1. That was in the Pete Carroll era...but I guess it still counts. I’ll go with “Number 34 was in the area.”
  2. Good point, and not just semantics.
  3. I’ve seen every one of Herbert’s college games, and I’m not convinced. All the tools, but something seems to be missing. The system he played in was not a great match for his skills, but still.
  4. Your posts elsewhere in this thread make me somewhat skeptical of this claim...
  5. Another way to put it is that Tomlin has a better chance of being named Coach of the Year than he does of being fired.
  6. Where did you hear about Sanford University?
  7. Here’s hoping Marrone is retained...one less AFC team to worry about. He did not attend “Sanford” either...
  8. Why would they have done that? They badly needed a week off before their first playoff game.
  9. I'd like to see us draft another TE this year. It seems like a position where you can find solid players in round four or later.
  10. Think about that...they averaged just over 4 wins a year over an entire decade...coaches included Pat Shurmur, Rob Chudzinski, Hue Jackson and Freddie Kitchens???
  11. Browns finish the decade 42-118.?
  12. It’s OK. I think Shurmur has a chance to be an offensive coordinator again somewhere.
  13. I watched the game. The Patriots ran at will and Brady had all day to throw. We were extremely fortunate to be in a position to tie at the end, which of course we failed to do.
  14. I can absolutely see Belichick going into KC and figuring out a way to frustrate Mahomes and beat Andy Reid.
  15. I’ll believe it when I see it. Eight days ago, the Pats dominated the Bills on both sides of the ball. They are more than capable of going on a run.
  16. Source? This is the opposite of what I’ve read about Amari Cooper. From what I understand, he handled his contract situation very professionally this year and never caused problems in the locker room. Never heard a bad word about him as a person.
  17. No, the Phins just re-signed him.
  18. I can’t remember it happening before.
  19. Give me a break. Until the Bills game, Steelers were 3-0 with Hodges. Hodges moved them down the field twice at the end of the game with a chance to tie before he threw those picks. And BTW, I can think of at least one other good NFL head coach who TWICE entrusted his team’s fortunes to a QB who manifestly lacked “the necessary tools” to be a starting NFL quarterback.
  20. Returning punts is not particularly risky. For years, Antonio Brown returned punts for the Steelers and OBJ did the same for the Giants. And of course there’s Deion Sanders and Patrick Peterson, both of whom returned punts for years when they were the also the best defensive players on their respective teams. Plenty of other examples, too.
  21. Not following your logic here...
  22. Kitchens out!!
