Yes, he’s been terrorizing NFL quarterbacks...

Josh Allen needs to run the ball more

You’re not wrong. It was just such a horrific injury, and it occurred on a play where the QB left the pocket, but statistically I don’t think running QB are at much greater risk. -

You didn’t happen to see the Cowboys game Sunday, did you? -
We have used a ton of draft capital on the defensive front seven the last three drafts. It’s inexcusable not to have come away with at least one pass rusher...

Lets take a breath here and look at this more logically...

Anyone know what happened to the WR we drafted out of Oregon State, Hodgkins? Is he on the roster? Practice squad? I’d much rather have him out there than Roberts. -

Some people woke up to it before he was drafted... -

Yes, Yeldon needs to get more carries. He's been buried on the bench for the last two years because he fumbled in a pre-season game. But it still doesn't justify using premium picks on Singletary and Moss, guys with low NFL ceilings. -

Singletary has been OK. He belongs in the league, but he's a change of pace back who has no business being the number 1 option. The third round is early to take a RB; third round RBs need to become feature backs, not role players. The Bills used third round picks on RBs two years in a row and still don't have a guy who they can give the ball to on third and 1. At this point, their only option on third (or fourth) and short is Josh Allen or McKenzie. I'll admit the jury is still out on Moss, but so far he looks slow and he's been constantly injured, just like he was in college. -
Don’t worry, he’ll get at least 11 more games to prove he can do something besides make back-breaking drops. And wasn’t Knox one of the three Bills “blockers” who stood there and watched Josh get killed by the Texans LB on the QB sweep in the playoff game last year?
-
Why is it so easy for other teams to find and develop tight ends, but the Bills have NEVER had a good one? How is that possible? They can be found in the sixth round, on the street corner, or even on a basketball court, but the Bills can’t find one to save their lives.

And those were loaded drafts, with impact players available throughout the first two rounds. We could also talk about the three third round picks that have been spent on slow running backs and a TE who specializes in back-breaking dropped passes, but I digress. These guys have not drafted very well and it’s starting to show. -
Hello, resident Josh Allen "Hater" here to Report
mannc replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don’t look now, but outside of Allen and Tre White, this gang has drafted pretty poorly, especially on defense. Josh Allen and some really good F/A signings have covered it up, but the chickens are coming home to roost. -

The “we were missing...” part of this post is pathetic. The Titans were missing more key players than we were. -
They can compete with them, they just can’t beat them.

Hey, it’s a message board...speculation is ok here. I mean, you do have to wonder, don’t you?
-
If this is Allen on a bad night, I’ll take it. The first pick was a bad drop by a WR who never should have been on the field, and there were about 4 other bad drops after that, including a horrible one by Knox on a play that would have gone for 25 yards. (When is this guy going to stop killing the Bills with easy drops at the worst possible times?) On the first TD drive Allen converted about six third-and-longs and made an insane throw to Davis for a TD that was brought back because someone wasn’t set. After that, they were playing from behind with no credible running threat and a Bills defense that demanded he score a TD every possession.
-
Hope you’re right. Or Kareem Hunt last year. Inexcusable, really.
-
Motor is a change of pace back. He’s got a role in this league but there’s no way he’s a featured back. Moss just looks too slow and appears to have been overdrafted.
-
We don’t have single running back that you would want to give the ball to on 3rd and 1. Other teams have two or three and they did use a bunch of high draft picks to find them.
-
In a league where really good running backs can be found on the street corner, it is inexcusable for a team that has used premium picks on the position in the last two drafts to have such a thoroughly mediocre (probably too kind a word) running attack.

A few thoughts about the Titans game, in no particular order
mannc replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let’s face it: Even though the Bills have improved under McBeane, they have drafted poorly and it’s starting to show. Other than JA and Tre White, they have whiffed on all of their premium picks over the past three seasons. Oliver, Edwards, Epenesa, Ford...None of these guys are playing anywhere near their draft level, and these past few drafts have been loaded with big time players in the first two rounds. Josh’s progress and some good free agent pickups have hidden the problem, but this is suddenly a team without much talent on defense, despite using a ton of draft capital on that side of the ball. I mean, they didn’t even come close to sacking Tannehill tonight. This is not going to be an easy fix. -

Different Bills team. These guys aren’t going to fall apart when something goes wrong. And more third and long conversions in that one drive than we had all last season. -
