  1. Ok, but finding a Super Bowl altering pass rusher for us in this Draft is as unlikely as finding Tom Brady in the 6th. All I’m saying is I hope the Bills stick with their board when our selection is up as there is no glaring need on the team currently. No reaching for a player (DE or otherwise) per pick. They've shown to be too good at this to change now.
  2. You’re not alone, but there’s plenty to challenge the doom & gloom. Shaq had 4 years to justify a 1st Round pick. He couldn’t. Many -if not most- of J. Phillips’ sacks were garbage sacks courtesy of other pressure and great coverage. Garbage collectors are a valuable resource, but they’re cheap. Most fans of the team -including Brandon Beane believe we’ve actually upgraded the D line already with this new crop of FAs. Stat-wise, it can’t be argued. D. Johnson showed more upside in sparse rookie action than Lawson showed in 3 years. Do I think we’ll draft a DE? Yes, if there’s one rated high at our picks. But I don’t worry it’ll be a ‘reason’ we don’t win a championship. Not in this day and age and not the way our Defense is designed.
  3. #EyePopping? #JawDropping? #CrayCray? Say what you will, the Kid is Must Watch TV!
  4. hmmmm..? well, it’s not like you to outright lie just to defend your feeble football facinora, so I’ll assume you slept through all the Bills games last season. The Bills had 44 sacks in ‘19, which is hauntingly close to the “45ish” I offered to help you with the 1st time. Where they come from -DL, LB, DB- is of little to concern in the modern game, and the Bills brass -& most fans- know this. Further, while I wasn’t able to quickly find last years League rankings for most batted down passes (because idc enough), Buffalo led the League in this statistic in ‘18 and certainly didn’t do anything notably different in ‘19. So I’ll try this one more time. 45ish sacks & 20ish passes batted down per season, coupled with stout enough Run D to force many 3rd & longs is a very good thing and will have any team touting these measurables at or near the best in the League. That’s 65 pass plays (read: 4 per game) that didn’t get past the LOS. Lawson & J.Phillips were Jags/players *who benefited from ‘the Process’* and allowed to seek employment elsewhere and easily replaceable on the cheap. Our defensive rankings the past couple years? Did you happen to check these out as I encouraged you to? No. of course not. Carry on.
  5. THIS is the day men can walk around whipping chicks with ***** willows? Dammit. I’ve missed it..?
  6. I agree. But it’s because I’ve always hated that they took the Colts out of Baltimore. You wanna move your franchise because the locals aren’t lining your pockets enough? Fine. It’s your toy. But leave the team name & logo to the city. I’ve never given Indy credit, but I’m an old codger who knew and loved the Baltimore Colts. <rant off>
  7. Yeah, no. ?‍♂️ I was referring to era where many teams featured fantastic DEs. It simply isn’t as essential today. Clever blitz packages and stopping the run game provide 45ish sacks a year and Pressure causes unwanted quick releases. We haven't had a premiere DE since #94 was kicked to the curb, because it really isn’t essential. You know our League defensive rankings the last few years, right? anyway, yes Punter is definitely a need as well as another RB in the Draft. We’ll fill in on other positions as well. Maybe even a DE -just for you. But there’ll be no ‘I told ya so’ because you haven’t.
  8. Birthday tidings, Chef!
  9. Yes, very sad. I didn’t realize he played for 9 years. That alone is quite an accomplishment. RIP TJax.
  10. I vote Yes, you do! I hated that look, which unfortunately was a nationally televised game. Then, a Football Trading Card company did a complete series on this game/uni. I get the no helmet color change rule in effect at the time, but everything short of a closeup looks like pigeons and geese were flying overhead for a couple days straight..
  11. I get the sneaky suspicion WGR tunes in here -a LOT! They had a segment earlier about this very topic, Shady returning. He claims he wants to play 2 more years, as all previous 12,000 yard rushers are in the HOF, which it seems he’s on the outside looking in. GR was interviewing someone “in the know” who basically claimed he’s done. His buddy Andy Reid didn’t even dress him in the SB. Could just be me, but it’s not the 1st time a Wall topic somehow made it out in the real world and got AirPlay. Should I dress more appropriately??
  12. It’s been done before and I think it looks pretty cool. AFL Champs Bills vs All-Stars and a recent, weak attempt to alter color tone by a weak photog. Wouldn’t mind seeing it maybe once every other year (now that the NFL has gone full blown Pac10), but blue has always been our primary color and the all reds are already infringing on that..
  13. These really aren’t needs. At all. This isn’t 1990. Aside from a more viable back up QB -which won’t be via the Draft, Punter is our only pressing need. Everything else will be roster fillers with potential.
  14. This topic no longer contributing to the Board. Ok. It didn't from the start.
  15. *Caution* 2 reports have been filed on this thread for political posts. Players challenging Social distancing does not warrant who’s side anyone is on and you all know this. Knock it off, or to the PPP trash heap it goes.
  16. Apologies, oh Tech Lord! May ye have a bountiful harvest with fine wine and dancing girls! ??‍♀️
  17. Brilliant and timely!?
  18. Shows what I know.. Thanks, @Simon!

  20. A privately owned restaurant with a Friday fish fry. I got a real hankerin’! Plus, screw the chains. They were on the way out before this started.
  21. He is Risen. Andre, that is.
  22. Hell yeah, it’ll work Dean. Even the virus won’t come within 6’. But yeah, if it’s not compatible with our TBD Sewing Bee, I’ll kill it.
