  1. I never wanted to, but the missus kept complaining that I NEEDED to..
  2. Hey, we All need a release. Enjoy yours! Doesn’t mean it should make the Wide World of Sports.. i ‘power lift’ 16 ouncers. Can down 24 a night. As a result, I look like Hell. But my ‘sport’ has a bigger following..
  3. I’m sure they do. But not only is it Not a ‘sport’ for the masses, very few people prefer to look like a brick sharthouse.
  4. They’re “typical” because they’ve stood the test of time. #KickTheCan #Run nothing more.
  5. Good questions, good interview. Beane is smooth.
  6. Well aware of that. Trading him means they let him walk.
  7. Good interview from NBC. Wounded Nam vet set him on his path. Very good, short interview with him from NBC. Worth the watch. https://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/pop-culture-news/actor-brian-dennehy-dies-81-n1185581
  8. Great actor. Check out FX if you haven’t. Never got good press by he’s excellent in it. My favorite BD role was the sheriff in Silverado -currently available on Amazon Prime. R.I.P.
  9. Silverado playing on Amazon Prime. Best Brian Dennehy vehicle (imo). R.I.P.
  10. Hoping someone links the lynx.
  11. You can sit on a riding lawnmower so that’s not even activity. Now, pushing those old non-motor mowers was sport! ? Not a big fan of watching golf either, but it does have the minimal essentials I expect in a sport. All limbs of the body are involved in a highly practiced routine to compete and perform a physical and athletic contest. Basketball, Hockey, Football, Baseball, bowling -among others- fit this bill. Soccer forbids hands and arms so it doesn’t measure up as giraffes can excel at the activity. Ditto horse racing.
  12. This is definitely a different year. By now, we typically have 37 threads going with mocks of varying updates, links to Astro and folks threatening to jump off the Skyway bridge if we take a certain player. Granted, no 1st lessens the excitement and a solid roster doesn’t have most of us dreaming of better days, but the only aspect I’m interested to see is this novel format. Count me as one who’s enjoying the change.
  13. I surrender, Officer. On a semi-related note, my son was recently hired by the WWE and wrestles Saturday in Orlando. It’ll be with green screens so they can put up graphics, etc as no fans will be in attendance.
  14. Specifically the young Moms. I feared they’d all be bearded with hairy armpits and warts showing by now. Not the case at all!
  15. You know, just north of you in Jacksonville. Yes, it’s unsettling to see though I understand the cabin fever. PRICK! My place backs up to the park and I’m on my patio havin’ a smoke. but yes, I’ve been warned before..
  16. Thanks, Vlad. He wears glasses too, so..
  17. No, doomsday boy, crazier things HAVEN’T happened. Take a zanex and go to bed.
  18. jumpin’ the gun a little, doncha think? A full, quick recovery should be anticipated as he’s in fantastic health otherwise and has the wherewithal to receive the best treatment. That’s 2 known NFL cases. How many players are there? How many more people are around these guys in their professional life circle? Current standard is 14 days quarantine with treatment and 2 negative tests. Hardly speaks to shutting it all down for a year. but what do I know..?‍♂️
  19. Ok. T/O you two. Its a Draw.
  20. Ok, fair enough. My Son and SonInLaw both power lift. A couple regional competitions -but mostly cuz they choose to look like Hercules. Son is a pro wrestler, SiL a fireman/EMT. I was just mocking all the exclamation points in the thread title about the ‘FANTASTIC RETURN TO LIVE SPORTS! WE’RE SAAAAVED!!’ The audience for this ‘sport’ is pretty limited as most people don’t aspire to look like or do this. A 9 Ball tournament would hold a greater audience as most everybody can play and understands the concepts. s’all I’m sayin’..
