I mentioned it in another thread that I saw his entire career with the Gators. Tends to get caught up a lot on short yardage plays. Not terrible-as in old Frank Gore, but not that kind of back. He’d be a great ‘Kenny Davis’ compliment to Devins’ Thurman! Hope he’s available when we pick in the 3rd -if not Round 2.

I’ve seen Perine’s (pronounced P-ryne) entire career @ Florida. He can make something out nothing but is also caught up a lot at the LOS. Not ‘Gore bad’, but not dependable in short yardage. Give him a seam though, and he’s terrific!

No. Denver was the best AFC team that year, even if it took a dramatic 4th quarter TD to beat Cleveland. Then they got blown out by San Fran in the SB.

Agreed. We know as well as any team he’s likely never going to live up to his incredible potential. By accepting the restructure, it seems he’s finally realizing this too. I suspect the Chiefs have options after the season should he ‘break out’ for the 1st time in his career..

If Beane is known for anything, it’s his love of garnering Draft picks. He’s roundly criticized for ‘spending too much’ ie: Josh, Tremaine & Stefon, but that’s how he rolls. For the 1st time since he’s been a GM, he now has a dearth of his favorite toy with just 12 picks currently for the next 2 seasons. Granted, this team is pretty complete, but new blood is required for every team every year. I’ll be duly surprised if he trades away any more picks and frankly, I expect him to trade down to add to his cache.
